Hi, I am waiting on a dozen shafts 300 spine, I ordered from Linkboy. I think I paid $38.00 Canadian and free shipping. I have been buying a great deal of archery equipment, pin nocks, brass inserts, etc. from China for about three years now. So far I have been satisfied. I bet allot of stuff we over pay for here is made in China anyway. BTW has any one tried the Accmos m3k wave woven carbon shafts yet? They interest me.

Ordered a dozen 340 spine off Amazon. Box was perfect when it arrived and was even double boxed. The arrows are beautiful full carbon in flourescent green. Only issue I had so far, without shooting them yet is that I only received 11 arrows. Still, looking forward to launching them to see how well they fly

I use Barnett 28 inch 450 grain 27.00 for 3 first pack I bought of them I only really got one good Arrow but the second part has been all excellent all three are perfect also I wanted to point out that tuning an arrow is possible even when you can't cut them consider a very light coating of epoxy if you want to raise the weight and spine of the arrow at the same time they'll make it a little heavier and a little stiffer the other things I've been doing to tune my arrows without cutting them actually involve cutting the feathers I find in an arrow that doesn't have perfect weight distribution I can trim the feathers if it's a tail heavy arrow. I also add to the tip where needed. The weight balance is important to its flight path and easy to adjust. Ive just recorded the last video in my arrow tune up series which you may find helpful. I even use light bandaids to wrap the arrow just behind the tip. It adds .3 of a gram and can be soaked upping the added weight to half a gram. I use simple techniques to tune with no money spent. On my barnett 28 inch arrows i added nose weight and reduced the fletching size from 3 inch to 2 inch and its improved thier accuracy. I also have some great ways to tune your bow up using wax, paracord and water believe it or not. My bow tuning series is complete and up on youtube. Feel free to check me out. Just curious how you find the consistency of your arrows box to box and of the 12 how many were straight. Ive seen some reviews showing only 4 to 6 were straight, some its 8. So far for me with 60.00 spent i got 6 arrows 4 straight two so bad i had to diy them. But after some tuning they were all usable and reasonably accurate.

Nice review, and you're right about the cost of arrows getting out of control. You can easily remove the inserts, cut to length, then re-glue the inserts back in. I screw a field point in, not quite all the way tight. Then heat the field point, I use one of the camp stoves that uses the green 1pd propane bottles. It doesn't take much. Then pull the field point with insert attached out with a pair of pliers. It's recommended to use a high speed cut off saw to cut the shaft to length. Then I use Gorilla glue to glue the insert back in. I screw a field point all the way into the insert first so I have a way to handle the insert easily. I have always used a small pipe cutter to cut the shafts with no problems, just go slow and run the end over a fine file to clean up the end. I build hundreds of arrows a year this way for myself and several friends. Works great.

Wow thanks for the advice this is awesome and I’ll try it out! Appreciate this. So even crazy glue can be heated and removed?
@danielalbright5115
@danielalbright5115 4 года назад
@@ArcheryGeek I assume it will work with about any glue used to glue inserts in. The reason I don't screw the field point all the way in is so the shaft is not damaged by the heat, but if the shaft is going to be cut it won't matter. If you go to www.tradgang.com you can get any info on traditional archery you can think of. The search function on the site is invaluable, and if you want to ask a question you'll surely get answers.

Hi, takes about 20 seconds to remove the insert if you want to cut the arrow to length. 1. Screw in an arrowtip. 2. Heat the arrow tip a little with a ligther or a gas torch. So not the arrow itself. 3. Grap some pliers and pul the arrowtip including the insert out of the arrow.

I have the same wood grain arrows from the same seller. There are very light so my recurve bow makes a funny sound when I use them. With my compound they're perfect. The heavier arrows fly better in my opinion (for the recurve). Ohhh. They mostly glue the inserts with hot glue. Just warm them up a little and you can pull out the inserts, shorten the arrow and put them back in. Great review by the way.

I ordered my arrows for aliexpress, only from another seller, I asked to cut off the arrows and stick on the feathers and nocks that I need in color. Everything was done for free. Straightness of the arrows +/- 003 is great! In terms of price - quality there is no equal. The only thing that will be 100% better is to buy shafts and other consumables separately and assemble the arrows yourself. I'm not sure that the Chinese are gluing the guide pen along the stiffener. Something like this. Thanks for the review!

I've been getting Gold Tip Warrior arrows, all 500 spine. The first 9 I had cut down from 30" to 28" (though later on, started to regret it). The next 8 I'm leaving at 30". I'm shooting from a 40# recurve, and using 100 grain field points, so I'm wondering if I should get a different spines or not. I'm OCD so I tend to like things to be the same, though I'm not as OCD as I used to be. And I'm trying to be less so still. The first 9 arrows I got had Green fletchings (with one white), but the next 8 I got, 4 have Red fletchings and 4 have Orange. I thought about having the same arrows, just with a few different spines: 500, 600, 400?, but I'm not sure. Watching and listening to these different videos isn't really getting me anywhere.

If you're wanting to cut them to length, it's easy enough to remove the inserts by threading a bolt into it, taking a pair of pliers and using a heat gun to loosen the glue.

Easy to get those arrow tips... or inserts out... take a coffee cup and put water in it... heat it up in the microwave and then dip the tip of the arrow in the hot water... take a pair of pliers and grab the arrow tip or field point and pull and the tip will slide out... done this to change them out on my arrows and inserted 200 grain brass inserts for my arrow tips and field points or broad heads to give a better FOC for penetration and arrow flight when using lighter spine arrows. Works great on these types of arrows... think they use simple HOT GLUE which is what I use to put inserts back in... etc... carefully. Wish you the best and thanks for your review... later... note: you do want to do the heat treatment carefully so you don't warp the carbon fiber arrow shaft.... later...

Hey buddy, great video! You need more subscribers. What I’ve found that works way better than heating inserts to remove them, is to find a drill bit that fits inside the shaft. Hold the arrow above your head and sling it toward the floor allowing the drill bit to pile drive against the back of the insert. I’ve knocked out some really rough inserts doing this and have never damaged an arrow. Cheers
