Thank you for this sound leadership, Mr. Kalepa. Your presence and demeanor and words are calming. It’s a lifetime in the blue sea that bring that kind of peace. And love for ohana.
Archie, where can we send money for support that the government can't take or use to control Hawaiian peoples on Maui??? We on the mainland are seeing many reports that the government is trying to stop locals from helping their own families and community.
Kaleo Manuel, former Obama administration, is the head of Water Management on Maui. He has been reassigned. He's made the statement that he views water as sacred and that it should be dispersed 'equitably'. (Remember Florida hurricane disaster and VP Harris saying FEMA aid would be disperesed based on equity?) He said that water is so sacred that it should not be 'used'. This is who impeded water to be released for firefighters despite exigent circumstances. Did they say the fire burst pipes in order to obscure this fact - just as not sounding alarms was a conscious decision? Kanaka must face cultural traitors and address this betrayal, or risk the absolute permanent erasure of the Hawaiian culture. The betrayal from within required to topple the kingdom has never been properly addressed, or we would not have Hawaiian faces make decisions that resulted in the deaths of not only countles Kanaka, kamaiina and guests, but of the future of the Hawaiian culture - our children. Kanaka must address enemies of the culture within or perish. Note: Local new story just came out. 16 yo brother who was working in family business the morning of the fires, found his little brother in their home holding their dog, deceased.
💔 for the little boy 👦🪽& his dog🐶🪽🥺💔 & his 16-year-old brother😔. As well as all the others who are holding on to each other to fight your way thru hell. I'm a haole, and I know that's all I will ever be to the locals. I do wish to give back to the most unique island and beautiful place and people I have ever seen and experienced over 40 years. My heart & mind is with all of you, to the point I have not cared as to what's been happening in my home town and state. That was until we had some sick evil person setting fires in our valley that very morning. I woke to my child saying mom there is a fire on the hill side above the ranch where our cows 🐂 & their babies 🐮 roam. Along with our sheep 🐑 and their guard dogs 🐕 live. Then my mom called who saw another fire start north of our ranch across the valley. We have over 100 🐮🐂 with their babies, sheep 🐑 & their 2 guard dogs 🐕, horses 🐎. 10 outdoor cats 🐈🐈⬛ & 4 pets inside the house 🏠. Several orchards, barns, out buildings, arenas and neighbors with their children, animals and homes. Husband calls and says his cousins area near Spokane WA is on fire. We all live in WA state. Last year we had our forest burn up that threatened both of our family cabins. That's just our state. Somewhere in Canada they were on fire and a family is sitting in a small boat with fire surrounding every hillside and you see the outline of enormous homes with fire growing & glowing like the pits of hell behind them. 187 homes burned to the gound. Spain, France, the list of fires goes in and on and on. I fucking hate fire 🔥.
@@lovesomeone7285 1. power was out so generators would require back-up power. 2. This applies to both questions - The Democrat Party has held every electable office on every island for over 40 years. Despite seeing that they are not valued or respected except for their aina, they give them another chance. This is partly because the GOP grossly neglects Hawaii - although their track record and policies would perhaps better-serve Hawaiians. Perhaps after the Maui fires, Hawaiians look within and realize who works against them - especially if they are kanaka. Ethnic traditions, even those pertaining to handling the bones or ashes of loved ones are not honored, respected, or protected. There is ritual, prayer, chant that is being impeded this very moment on Maui. When Hawaiians realize they have installed enemies to govern them, they will vote them out. Every. Single. One.
@peekaboo6622 the truth of what little I understand of the history is 💔 and sad 😔. I hold grudges. I try hard not to, but it's who I am. If I was Hawaiian, Native Am. Jewish, I don't believe I could ever let go of the past evils done to my family and friends. The hate would be there like a curse. I find a person that can be freed from that curse, lucky.
Maybe... but it's always good to be vigilant like Steven Earl Jones did in 911, but he paid the high price by being forcibly retired into a prostituted society.
Someone should contact Sadhana forest. They are a huge non profit that has done massive reforestation projects in barren desert land, to bring back healthy water tables. They use many regenerative and permaculture techniques. Maui can certainly be reforested and brought back to the land it is supposed to be. It can be a thriving ecosystem and community again.
If all those people stormed those mansions on the island, sacrificed the lunatics inside, and used them for housing and kicked all the government lunatics on that island in to the sea and got back to sanity and realized that government isn't your savior, it is your destroyer then just maybe they could restore the balance to themselves and their offspring.
Ava braddas. Yes. They wen go do dis ting. Purposely. I AM A Hawaiian. Kapuna. Rebuild. You CAN do it. I malama da braddas on the west side. Beware. Beware. Of the higher powers. Be akamai. You must. My ohana Is Hana.
and now you have a lovely 12ft tall black fence encircling Lahaina to keep you safe. It's a dust mask you know.... To keep you safe. You remember these Ritual Shame Muzzles from days of Corona Past. A 12ft tall mask around a city. Didn't see this at Paradise, Huntington Lake, Big Creek, Shaver Lake, Nork Fork, Or any other fire. Nice move Lahaina, enshroud your town in a 12ft mask.
MFD said they had no water pressure at hydrants and no access to water reservoirs for water tanker pumping. Maui water and land management might have killed 1000 people. Once you fill a tanker truck you can blast brush fire by hwys
Archie and the Boys, they are Heavy On Hawaiian Style. KeeaumokuKapu, is Heavy On Hawaiian Style. Lahaina Is Heavy on Hawaiian Style. ALL HAWAIʻI is Heavy On Hawaiian Style, Book it!!
You let the native hawaiian community be a part of the decision making policy nothing will get rebuilt, look at what happened with the 30 meter telescope on Mauna Kea, if they dont get their way, they'll just shut everything down, let the landowners decide what to do with their own properties
