Biffy Clyro do a lot more than radio friendly pop rock. Especially first 3 albums. I love them, my favourite band, but do prefer their earlier stuff. He can scream, he does do it more so in his live performances. Great feature on the best track in the album imo
Great breakdown lads. I cannot agree more with you on this one. The album is really interesting and I think is a great way for Architects to reinvent themselves and prove they can be heavy in more ways. Some say Architects are way too "formulaic" but, they basically wrote the manual for 90% of current metalcore, they are allowed to change as much as they want. The lyrical content is still there and this album is a great way for them to reach even a broader audience and spread their message to more than the classic "gatekeeper" metal fan
Well done on this one boys, really enjoyed it! And props to Nathan for picking up the references to past albums/songs in Dying is absolutely safe! I’ve listened to it a few times now and still didn’t manage to pick that up until you mentioned it! 😂
Before I listened to the album I read the lyric book cover to cover and I'm so glad I did because the lyrics and concept evolution throughout the album are some of my favourites ever and having that in my mind before then adding the sound made me fall in love with this album from first listen. This is a very smart album. I enjoy it sonically but as a whole package I adore it. It takes you on an emotional narrative I feel and that is one of my favourite things artists can do- it felt very cohesive to me vs a selection of songs put together.
This album makes way more sense after you find out that Tom wanted to go industrial before he passed. The band took that idea and went with it, and they didn't disappoint one bit.
You guys are fantastic, this whe album review is a great refreshing new twist to the channel. Love this album and u 2 need to keep this up great, great job.
My favorites are definitely An Ordinary Extinction with the sort of electronic vibe that makes me want to dance despite the heavy lyrics and Dying Is Absolutely Safe, where I love how raw it is. That being said, the entire album is awesome!🔥
I love the album and I love your thorough analysis, focusing on the whole and not just what YOU expect from the album. Giving blood, dead butterflies and animals...and black lungs, they're my fave so far.
Listened to this album once, thought it was good. Second listen, thought it was really good. Third listen I finally got it. Basically a masterpiece of epic stadium metalcore evolving into grown-up music.
I fucking love your review. One of the view that go deep into detail of it and there is A LOT of detail on this album. I've been listening to this album from the moment it came out and as a long time architects fan, dating back to hollow crown, i think this is might be the best album they have ever written. So much variety, while still staying true to what architects makes architects. Also, first time I'm watching you guys and youre definitely getting a subscribe. Thanks for the great review
Great review guys! I had the album on repeat when I was at work. I really like the new approach they are taking for most of these songs my standout tracks aside from the singles would be Impermanence, Discourse Is Dead & Giving Blood! \m/
0:30 - Do You Dream of Armageddon 1:40 - Giving Blood 3:41 - Discourse is Dead 6:43 - An Ordinary Extinction 9:36 - Impermanence 13:09 - Flight without Feathers 15:08 - Little Wonder 18:05 - Libertine 20:01 - Goliath 23:53 - Demi God
Great album. Can you boys please do some reactions of Biffy Clyro? No1 reacts to them and it’s criminal. Simon Neal features on this album. Please boys please
@@johnnyneedham9831 lovely jubbly, thank you. You need to do golden Rule first. That will give you the vibe. Cheers lads. Keep doing what you’re doing 👍🏼
Agree with the above ! There’s a lot more to Biffy Clyro then their top 5 songs on Spotify which are more radio friendly... massively underrated band outside of the U.K.
This album is so damn good. The wife suggested I try them which I did, then wrote them off after a a brief listen. I then gave it another few listens after I saw them gaining a bit of traction and reckon I've listened to it 20 times now. It doesn't get boring. This review is really good, as usual. I reckon it might be worth considering one of these album reviews for the new Wage War album, it's shaping up to be exceptional.
great review guys xx. for me personally it’s an ok album. they’re still my fav band of course, but God do I dislike Little Wonder. like a lot. maybe it’ll grow on me
I’ve deleted my last post because I’ve converted. I really like this album now. I think it’s awesome and a decent change even though I love the heavy Architects. I guess it really did need to grow on me. I genuinely love this album now. AOGHAU is still my fav but this is a banger. I’m sorry for hating it 😂
