YES man so glad to see you like it! The new album has 15 songs... FIFTEEN! They're not all going to be radio rock like people are freaking out over. But even if they did, at least they can do radio rock fucking awesome.
The important thing for anyone to bare in mind is that the last album was always going to sound the way it did because it honours Tom, THIS will be the first where they're truly on their own. Also bare in mind this is the typical radio replay single that will build buzz around them and it does a very good job at it. Don't worry people they're not gonna let down.
They will not let down and this single is fucking phenomenal and well written. Hope it gets them more fans that they truly deserve. This was killer amd catchy
Not totally true tho. Dan said in an interview that the idea behind sind song was an idea Tom had years back. They just took it and made a song out of it
@@RockMusicTica I mean yeah that explains the industrial sound but it's still very radio friendly. They also said there will be plenty for people who prefer their metalcore style
i dont get why everybody is so upset with this song, its honestly so good. you cant expect a band to stay the same over 12 years of albums. they need to change/evolve or they just fade away. architects has done this many times. compare hollow crown to holly hell and tell me its the same.
True! I mean did these people ever listened to "The Here And Now" when they say something like "We want the old Architects back! They are too much pop right now"? Noobs!
People say the same thing about BMTH and TDWP too. I think it's a healthy idea to evolve your music if you've been a band for 10+ years. Staying the same will always hit that nostalgia, but it's not a challenging feat to write the same sound.
I agree. Even some quiet layered screams could've done a lot for this song. The intro was so chunky and meaty, the cleans were kinda too contrasting in my opinion. Then again I've been listening to a ton of deathcore lately so everything else seems too soft lol
"What does Rachelle say? I'm here for it!" YESSS!! Hahahaha. I was thinking yesterday "Man, I hope Galactic reacts to this one!" I should've known!! Your reaction when the riff kicks in is relatable! Glad you dig this too!! I was also expecting heavy stuff from them even though in their earlier albums there was more based around the clean singing, but I felt there were a number of things they did differently on this track that sets it apart from their past releases. In a good way. Also, that MFer is 15 songs long. All of them except the opener are full length (between three and a half and five minutes long) with some features from heavier vocalists. I think that this album will truly have something for every Architects fan, new and old! Maybe that's the whole point, who knows. I am here for it though!!!! Great reaction and review! I'm on board with ya, can't wait for more!!
For me nothing will ever top „Hereafter“ but I love this song. Guess there is another great album coming! I don’t care about styles and genres, it‘s just about music itself 🤘🏻
I personally love this new single.... yeah it's got no screaming but that doesn't bug me.. that main guitar riff tho.. awesome. I appreciate good song writing and emotion. Something Architects have mastered years ago and I'd say the direction of the last album should've told ya this is where they were going with new material, at least the singles... and side note, yeah I hear the Orbit Culture vibe and I love it... I'd love to see a Gojira/Architects/Orbit Culture tour... 🤯 I'd also like to see a deftones/Architects tour.
Personally. I funking love this song. Like most I was slightly underwhelmed at first but this has properly grown on me and now I can't stop listening to it.
Damn... when he hits the high notes the lead singer is a DEAD RINGER for Chester Bennington.... RIP; and the song, SO MUCH like "old" Linkin Park; I fucking LOVED IT!
Love your reviews man. This song I wasn't thrilled with at first, but its grown on me. Same applies for me w/ BMTH.....what this kind of sounds like. We'll see what they do moving forward. Also, this should be on every "try not to headbang challenge" ever. That riff man.....
I was very back and forth after listening to it a few times, but seeing that you loved it helped make my mind up. Regardless still amped for new Architects
That riff is CHUNKY. I love it. As others have said with Tom gone they're gonna sound different. Also bands have to grow and change to stay relevant. It's a great great great song though.
It was different/new/fresh but at the same time very familiar. 🤘🏻 Always liked their way of using ambient sounds to create more texture and layers to their songs! 🙌🏻 video was awesome as well.
I love it, I’ve seen a few snippets from the band members online, kinda giving it away that things will only get heavier and the screams and bleghs will be back. But I love this song
I honestly love this song. And yes I love their old stuff too, but this is fresh. I am happy that they are evolving. Sometimes when bands "evolve" it's a bad if their new sound is trash. This is very very well done and is catchy as hell. I will be going from this to Shadow of Intent to Cytotoxin to Crystal Lake.
Reminds me of when Dillinger Escape Plan lent into the “radio friendly” sound in 2012, which was just people expecting more math metal instead of songs that allow space to contrast the heavy sound. This is still sounding like Architects to me, sure maybe you could say it’s more rock than metalcore but anyone coming for this track isn’t being open minded to versatility.
@@k33fy8282 Wolves At The Gate is one of my favorites as well. Love all of their albums, including the new one. Fit For A king and Currents are great as well, but not really a big fan. I'd add August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage, ERRA, The Word Alive, Blessthefall.
Yeah, I enjoyed the song as well and they already said that there will be heavy stuff (in terms of vocals) on the new record as well so my expectations are really high.
It's sooooo funny I thought the exact same about the Riffage with Orbit Culture. When I listened it for the first time I was like, that could be one from the boys!😂
The China breakdown makes up for the lack of screaming. Fucking heavy as fuck. The lyrics are amazing, the singing is amazing and catchy as hell. Same Architects we know and love with a slight twist. Can’t wait for the full album or at least another single, so stoked man.
I love the song, Architects new direction fits very well with this song and they brought back the F bombs again, because the last album barely had any F bombs, so I love that they brought that back, the f bombs flow very well with the song they made🤘🤘🤘.
Still definitely have to recommend Black Tongue to you, it's a sound like no other, and it's definitely worth hearing. My recommendation: Black Tongue - Second Death I definitely think you'd enjoy it, their newest album Nadir was a very solid album overall. They have a couple songs off their previous record that are absolutely brutal, and have arguably some of the most raw and powerful breakdowns you've heard thus far.
Awesome reaction to an amazing song!! Motionless in White's newest song To the Grave (commemorating their 10 year anniversary of their first officially released album creatures) is a real banger and I am 100% you'll love it!
I don't know man lol ever since my music got heavier I just can't get into this type of song now. I would have had a different opinion a while back though but yeah. I'm sure you understand since you've mentioned something similar before. Lol I'm to deep in the void
9:01 yes that happens to me every time I drink lol. This song was awesome btw. Im really excited about the new album! I don't care if people say it's different, im sure its gonna be amazing! Wait....what was i talking about?
