i wouldn't catogorize them in religion. i think they're more anti political, anti elite and some what "truthers" and emotionally expressive! They are towards free speech, saving the planet and for awakening people to the major problems we face in our ignorance today! Well that's what i get out of trying to find the meaning behind the lyrics! They explain very much in Unbeliever when i think about it! and many other songs too of course!
@@kshproductions7996 okay, i was thinking about Downfall when i typed anti-political. i guess they seem to be very disatisfied with the political state in the mainstream area at least. When they say they are "leeches" and want to see their downfall and that "right and wrong" according to politicians are all the same to them :) And the Unbeliever song says-- --"Step out of the shadow, cast by left and right wings Take refuge in each other and the triumph that it brings Since we stood on two feet, we've been worth so much more Now tear down the walls, that were built to divide, It's time to extinguish that fire, That fire inside"
Their use of the Rapture wasn't so much a religious thing, but I think more of a symbol of the question they probably ask themselves from time to time about "How do we hold onto the memories of our loved ones when they leave this world without having those very memories fade into nothingness due to time?"
Great reaction to a great track dudes. As a brit who hates coffee, I cannot condone your choice of beverage & am ironically watching this with a cup of tea currently sitting to my left. As for the live aspect from what I've seen the vocalist Sam does sometimes sound a little scratchy/tired during the later stages of some touring cycles but he can hit all those notes & screams for sure, not to mention that the whole band gives 110% for every performance without a doubt. I've never seen them live personally but know that they have a fantastic reputation for being an incredible live act.
Architects is quite notably atheist. Their singer, Sam Carter, has said as much. Tom and Dan, when releasing their previous albums, have gone on record to state their antitheistic views. Tom Searle, before he died, was the head writer for the band. Having his fingers in guitars, drums, bass, and even the lyrics of the band. Antitheistic thumbprint is throughout their discography.
@@dantheman6888 if they were nihilists, they wouldn't be vegan or activists. Considering their lament to Tom's life in Doomsday would be meaningless if they were nihilists. You could argue they were pantheists, but I believe that to be sexed up atheism. Ultimately, speculation on this is moot since they assigned themselves these labels in their interviews.
@@dantheman6888 yeah, he also wrote Naysayer. Which is a call to activism and the message of that song is completely antithetical to what nihilism is. Plus, just because they named the song that doesnt mean it aligns to what they believe. They wrote a song called "They'll Be Hanging Us Tonight" did that mean they were hanged because they said it in their song title. Come on Dan, use your noodle.
Hi guys. We are a unique and underground progressive melodic death metal band from Finland . I’m just asking are you willing to do a reaction -, review - etc. of our stuff? We launched our Future Diary debut album recently. Let me hear your thoughts, please ? 🔥
They're in Copenhagen - VEGA, January 8, go see them live and you'll know he does it even better live! Seen them live several times, and going to see them i København too, ses der ;) Also, not Christian band at all.
Love the reactions you guys are doing!! I first came across you guys when you did the Blasphemion reaction and have been a subscriber since. You’ve been doing a variety, including a rap song. Awesome spread. Could you guys do a Tech Death reaction? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1lsnTQyGI78.html This is Archspire, whose vocalist Oli gets inspiration from the rapper Tech N9ne. I’ll be sending more Slam recommendations in the future. Keep it brutal!!
His chorus vocals are different and it's something they've been going for with their newer music. I don't see how anything higher would have fit any better, they're proportional to the music and already high as it is.
I think he meant higher in the mix dude, not in pitch :P I'd probably agree with him on that though. If he sang any higher the dude's head would probably explode haha. For real though he hits what would be really high notes for most guys even with traditional singing technique & he's hitting those with that distorted tone, it's pretty crazy stuff.
Since you questioned if they could do it live, look up their official live video of Doomsday. It's absolutely incredible, one of the best live bands out there.
damn!!! nice song i love this guys since years ago, cool reaction i really like this channel!!! can you guys react to a day to remember- bullfight,im gonna subscribe now!!
awesome reaction but no not a christian band first verse is I wasn't ready for the rapture We're only passing through But these words, they mean nothing to me. yep he screams/sings like this live check out all our gods have abandoned us!
They are far of a christian band alpha omega is about how christianity puts the belief you have to be a good person to go to heaven when just being a good person is all you need to be in general
They were christian, but their last album plays with the idea of god many times, although the first song is called Nihilist, you should really listen to the last song, Memento Mori, to understand the struggles of the now dead writer, composer and lyricist Tom Searle. Which flows into Doomsday and, after that, Hereafter.
Musically I really liked it (beside the parts that reminded me too much on other songs by other bands (and I do not think of BMTH here)). The video seems uninspired to me, and I myself have nothing against performance videos. :P It more like they thought ''Hey, we have a green screen here. Why don't we spend a few bugs on special effects? Some random 'epic' looking stuff'' - "But what should the story of this video be? What we are going to show" - "Doesn't matter.. As long as it's dark, mysterious, and looks EPIC"; while failing actually when it comes to epicness. I agree, quite catchy riffs there. Overall a nice song. But far away from 10 out of 10 ffor me. More a 7 (really just because I cannot help but hve to think I'm listening to some other bands). A 10 out of 10 for me was a song by a band I did not know before YT recommended this video to me (and finally it was a good recommendation, usually I think YT might hate me!). It's 'I was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery' by Woods of Ypres. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T9TvcAMENJE.html In case you don't know them or the specific song already, I'd love if you put them on your list for upcoming reactions. I'd brew some coffee for you, when you really do it. :) (as it's the internet and internet equals hate, I might put some cyanide in it, though, in case you dislike the song) Spoiler Alert: When searched other songs I found the newest stuff seemed to be from 2012 so I googled, just to find the tragic reason of the end of the band in 2011. A pity that their journey ended so early. Some great stuff must have come to existence, if they had the chance to write it. Spoiler Alert 2: It's a performance video. :P
