Actually this song is about how we are brought to hate each others, how the media uses fear (terrorism, murders, rapes, etc) to gain views and profitability, how the governments uses hate and division for political gains (immigration, fight against religious beliefs, etc), and how we are all stuck in between that mess. Take the commute to work one fine morning and notice no one looking at each others: all those people staring down at their phones. Cross their eyesight and they'll uncomfortably look away. Go see a concert: all those metal detectors standing there for screening purposes, because who knows? Someone could have the intent to take the "Blow this place to the roof" to another level. We're just shitless scared of each others, instead of being united and acting as one. And this is, according to this song, is our downfall as a society.
