Instead of deleting the models everytime, you can select one model, select File>Export>3D Model, and when the window pops up, in options, choose 'Export only Current Selection'. (This selection stays on until you turn it off. so you dont have to go to options every single time). This will export only current selection.
Omg!!
I use sketchup pro for work and make 3D floor plans for customers the pro for there renderer which is great and want to print there plan for better visual thank you for your help!
Great video! 👍 My 2cents... I don't think 3d printing is there yet for real-world use in Universities where deadlines are too short. For example, to build my thesis model, which was very big in size, I don't see how making it on the 3d printer would have saved me time or money, think it would have had the opposite effect. Easier to just use Exacto knife and cheap materials at the moment, but I hope 3d printers keep evolving. Where I see current 3d printers being useful is if you are not in university and have more time to dedicate to your models without worrying about time constraints.
You can invest on it. The printer he used is cheaper than premium and midrange smartphones out there :D They're accessible too. Can buy it easily online too!
Hey, do you know what do I have to study to build bunkers? Or earthships? I dont think about bunkers for war, I think about thick concrete walled homes that protect from the sun and keep the living space quite comfy cool. I dont know the correct therms in english but are architects or people who are "Bautechniker" the right people for the job? :)
Are theee any architectural magazines you could recommend? I know that there is architectural digest, but they concentrate on interior more than on exterior
Great content thanks, but what about BIM models where components are part of the model and we can’t separate them? How would you print something like that???
hellooo I would like to askk, I wan t to take architecture as my course for college but I don't know what strand would be suitable for me 🤷♀️🤷♀️ is it STEM or VAS??? just asking for advise. I don't want to have regrets for the future
s o m e t h i n g I don't know. But, I can say that I am a STEM graduate and currently studying BS Architecture. It is good 'cause I don't need to take any bridging classes of Math subjects.
I don't know about stem or vas but one thing is for sure that you have to work hard 5 years to become an architect! Usually while studying we have a lots of workload so a person should manage his/her time. Rest its study is interesting and m sure anyone enjoys designing .
So, I flunked out of autocad class. I couldn't keep up with the instructor who worked only toward the students that had prior experience in that program. I used RU-vid (including yours, which I even watched during class) but I still couldn't keep up with his drawings. So, I need the ability to use it for design. Can you recommend a good online program or have you heard of any? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much.
3D printing a sphere is possible. Most 3D printer users slice the sphere into half and print them flat face down. Yet when a printer's settings are tuned enough, you can print a sphare at one go.
Hi, I just have a quick question. This is very off-topic to the video, but I’ve always wanted to become an architectural student. However, I didn’t really take art class in the beginning of my highschool (going to grade 11 next school year).. can i still become an architect student even though I will be graduating in high school without that class? Ps; im new here and totally loved your videos! ❤️
lol… Architecture isn’t art. I am personally an Arch student but I hate drawing / Arts. I just enjoy and love designing buildings using computer, that is architecture basically.
Hey good day a huge fan here Please pa shout out sa next video i already watch al of your videos so far i am so amazed on what you do and I am very inspired thank you
That first tip about splitting the model up isn't exactly true. Sure you created smaller, faster prints in the case that your printer fails - but congratulations to save 5 hours you've created 6 hours of sanding and connecting of your parts to have the same "finish" as if it was one whole part. My advice would be to make smart design choices with how to print everything and to make sure your printer is both maintained and tuned for low failure rates! -t someone whos been 3d printing his scale, site and final models since undergrad.
