As I was enjoying yet another Munro Live video it dawned on my that what we are seeing is the birth of a whole new ecosystem. It's incredible how there seems to be a huge interest in all things Tesla, most specifically the technology, and a mashup of social media types like Galli who tend to the economics. I feel like we're witnessing the birth of a new age where people from around the world, from vastly different backgrounds, are finding common cause and sharing information and enthusiasm about all things having to do with electric propulsion. It's just incredible and I love it!!

My wife and I had the opportunity to sit in the Arcimoto at Fully Charged Live in Austin TX. One thing we both noticed was that ingress and especially egress was difficult for a taller person (we are both well over 6 feet tall). We think ingress and egress could be improved if the battery box was made a couple of inches lower and the top corners could also be rounded. Additionally, the B pillar could be set back a couple of inches, which I think could be accomplished by increasing the arc of the B pillar. PS: we also own FUV stock.

Pretty ballsy of Arcimoto to allow us to look into the construction of the vehicle so early in their production, although I doubt that there are many that would want to steal from such a niche product. This is no Tesla after all but maybe they can become the Tesla of three-wheelers.

Thanks for the video Considering the emergency unit has always some kind of equipment to carry, is there sufficient room? I think the storage is always advantage even for personal use.

Hi Mr Sandy Munro and associate Here is an idea you could forward to arcimotor. Why not put a solar panel insted of that glasroff. Seems redundant it's so open all around and if you smack a 350w panel or 400w or bigger I don't know how big they are now a days on there should make one he'll of a difference for such a small vehicle. I hope you still read the comments you sir are my new hero right after Elon.i have an idea for the Cybertruck I have ordered one but I am worried about the tonocover and want instead to make it simpler with a lid that incorporates solar panels and a mechanism that holds it in place like on the old volvo 740-760s that they use for the hood like a scissors that can open In 2 stages. Instead. Seems to me more reliable no electronics and no worrys of gaging up with mud and clay like I work in landskaping were it gets very dusty or very much. Thx

If Munro could help bring the price below $15k then this threebee would sell like hotcakes. At an all you can eat $2 breakfast. It could be an excellent second/commuter vehicle. Extremely popular for local deliveries. Nimble, easy to park, cheap to operate. Work out a rapid recharge solution. (Tesla is probably open for a discussion. They've made an offer to other companies.) Work in some basic self-driving features including lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking.

Sandy, What's the largest wattage inverter a guy could install on the model Y without damaging the 12 volt charging system?

Getting hit by an suv in one of these would be more like being on a motorcycle than being in a car? Am I correct on this or have they done some things like the smart car did?

I really was hoping you would say the seats are facing forward or backward. Unless the photos on the website are to throw people off, they definitely show the third row seats facing forward. I just expect them to be extremely cramped and uncomfortable and more for Tesla to just say they offer three rows. The Y is too small for three rows to comfortably fit. With the steeply sloping rear, and narrow width between rear wheel wells I think it’s going to be quite a tight squeeze whichever way they go.

Hi Sandy.. can you please verify a calculation. If the decrease the cost to produce batter by 5% and increase range by 5% and increase charge rate by 5 % and then reduce size of battery by 5%. Factor that into cost of vehicle. That should se a drop in price of about 10 to 15% right. Because not only are they reducing cost to produce battery. They will also be able reduce the size of the battery. And also according to RU-vidr" limiting factor". He is talk8ng about 30 % reduction in cost of cells right?.

Spoiler: the Arcimoto is legally a motorcycle. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Sandy, has Arcimoto told you why they designed their vehicles as front drive? They do not discuss it in their FAQ. The added complexity and part count of transmission, differential, half shafts, CV joints, boots, knuckles etc. While rear drive could free up the front for some nice lockable/unlockable lean-in steering geometry.

I find this very interesting, but not quite what I'm looking for. I'd like a much lighter trike, more bicycle based where peddling can be a significant part of the total power (at least 20%), with much of the rest coming from solar panels and batteries. Also it should be very aerodynamic, much more so than this appears to be. The last thing I would like is for it to be able to sustain a speed of 40+ mph with a range of 200+ miles before recharging. Hopefully legal with a scooter or motorcycle license.
