"arctic alpine" (Demon) by ShadowIan | Geometry Dash 2.2 

A lot of friends have been recommending this level to me, which makes sense after playing it. It's a really high-quality themed level. I will say that the parts up until 0:33 didn't impress me too much, as they are a little boring visually. There isn't too much art to emphasize the theme, and the colors are a bit dark and dull. However, from 0:33 until the end, it gets a lot more exciting. Every part features very good art in the background and some even in the foreground. My favorite example of this is the part at 1:06 where you go down the mountain slope, with some really stylistic clouds and mountains in the background and cabins and trees in the foreground. This part especially fits the level's theme extremely well. Not only does the art step up in the later parts, but so do the colors. There's a lot of bright colors that probably wouldn't fit in a realistic mountain setting. However, in combination with the unique art style, it works out and makes for a really cool result to me.
This was also quite fun to play for me. The level remains at high speed from start to finish, which is what creates some difficulty at first. It's probably too hard to sightread without any practice due to the speed. However, with a practice run, the gameplay flows really well. What makes this stand out gameplay-wise, though, is the verticality, for example in the aforementioned mountain slope part. Many levels only have gameplay that goes from left to right without exploring any height, which isn't too interesting when done so much as it is the standard. ShadowIan did a great job of doing something different in that regard. All in all, I think this will be an Easy Demon, and it's definitely worth playing!
