We had some trouble with our ATV not running. The carb kept overfilling and after changing the float needle the problem continued. We decided to give one of the Chinese carburetors off E-bay a shot and see if that would fix the problem.
Bought a 2008 Arctic Cat 366 about 2.5 years ago. Original carb was fossilized with old gas residue. Bought 3 carbs off Amazon. The first two didn't work but the last one, a "Carbman" brand, worked until today. I haven't torn into it yet but I suspect the electric choke oven failed, stuck in the choked position. I think I'm going to order one of the NICHE carbs... Hard to beat that price for one that includes a choke oven. Most for that price are set up for manual choke.
@@jdlucas78 thanks for watching and your comment. Yeah, honestly I don’t know if I got really lucky by finding the Niche or by just getting a good one but mine has been absolutely perfect. Good luck! We appreciate you! Have a great day and be safe!
I didn't expect that carb to work, I've had zero luck with aftermarket carbs. I've tried them on a few different engines with no success. Good to see there's one out there worth trying.
Thanks for watching and your comment. I wasn’t expecting much but for $50 was worth a shot. So far it’s working great. Fingers crossed that it will keep working. Have a great day and be safe!
At about 4:45 the vacant space on the one and hole on the other side of the carburetors is for a manual primer circuit. Glad to see it worked I'm in the middle of a frame up restoration on my 99 and opted for one of the cheap China models as well. Everything else for that matter from brakes and rotors- wheel bearings. Even the voltage regulator and coil.
My Kimko 07 MXU500 kept leaking petrol from the float valve seat of the carbretter. The new carbretter was $500. The same size carbretter made in China was $40. It's working very simply and well with only the carburetor exchange. Same thing as the carbrector you bought. The carbrector without the electric choke.
Glad it worked out for you..I need to rebuild mine but looking at the factory parts...they are expensive...maybe ill give an aftermarket carb a try too.On your quad when you shift into low gear does it show an (L)? mine just blinks a line..but mine shows R...N and H..kinda weird.
Thanks for watching and your comment. That carb is working great at barely a fraction of the oem cost. The L does show on ours when it is in low. Good luck and let us know what you find out. Have a great day and be safe!
Awesome!! Glad it worked and fixed yours also! Thanks for watching and your comment. We have been using our atv nearly everyday and it’s still working perfectly! Have a great day and be safe!
I bought a carb very similar to yours off Amazon for our '04 500. Idles great, but bogs when you give it throttle and only tops out at about 30 MPH. I'm guessing the jets are the wrong size compared to stock. Hope yours is holding up okay!
Thanks for watching and your comment. Sorry you are having issues with yours. I think you are correct on what is going on though. So far ours is still working perfectly so keeping my fingers crossed that it continues. Let us know what you figure out. Have a great day and be safe!
@@randyyool9034 yes, it’s still working perfectly. We use the atv nearly every day and we couldn’t be happier with the way it’s working. Thanks for watching and commenting on it! Have a great day and be safe!
good video and job as always the factory parts are way to high. i have a john deere amt600 the kawsuckee engine never ran right you had to walk home more than not replacement motor was over$1600 i let it set over 2 year got a HFT motor moved motor mounts and re done frame paid $100 for long belt and still had less than $600 in it not counting labor and it runs better than it ever did.. take care, be safe and well.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yeah that carb oem was crazy expensive. The Chinese one is working great so far so hopefully that continues. Thanks again and be safe!
Thanks for watching and your comment. I don’t have a link sorry. It was the NICHE carburetor that I used. The same carb was on ebay and amazon for the same price. Ours is still working great. Good luck with yours! Have a great day and be safe!
Yeah, I will update in about 6 months but it’s working great so far! Thanks for watching and your comment, best of luck with yours. Have a great day and be safe!
@@MeasureInGrains sorry yours didn’t work correctly. Mine came from Amazon from a company called all-carb. The same ones can be found on EBay and I actually thought that was where I found it. Weird thing when I ordered it was $46 now the price is $65…. Best of luck and hope you get it back to running soon.
@@mrmovemaker9737 it is still working perfectly for us. We use the atv several times a week and it’s running good! Thanks for asking and we hope yours is working too!
Awesome! Yes ours has been working great for several months now hopefully that continues. Good luck and we hope yours keeps working as well! Thanks for watching and commenting and have a great day and be safe!
Awesome! Thanks for watching and your comment. I know people have had mixed results but I am completely impressed and happy with how this one works! Have a great day and be safe!
Which EXACT carburetor did you buy? I have the same machine and need one. Especially for $50. I have EBay, all I need is the name of the seller and the title of the post. Please reply and let me know! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
