Of most interest was that it was all along the coast of Russia, not all over, as would be predicted if CO2 was the culprit. Having been to Tomsk Russia, I figured that it was all the nuclear reactors that use rivers for cooling water, rivers the flow into the Arctic from many cities like Tomsk, Tomsk 7 (Severn), Novosibirsk, Yevkatryinsburg, and others. That water is most likely slightly higher temperature than it would be without the nuclear power, thus melting the ice along the coast quicker. Thus if the ice is less, it would be from nuclear power plants in Russia AND possibly from nuclear submarines, not from CO2.

Yes, and some time later the Ozone Hole was going to get us all. That isn't going to happen either. Oh, the coral reefs are dying again.. Of course they aren't saying that is part of the regeneration process either.

@jackdeniston6150 No. In the 70s most Climatologists were predicting warming. Peterson - The myth of the 70s cooling consensus - Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society.
The sea ice is following the AMO (Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation). It peaked in 1979, and reached a minimum around 2010. Now, the AMO is getting deeper into its cool phase, and Arctic sea ice will be expanding. The AMO is a relatively short climate cycle (about 60-70 years). There is another natural cycle of about 800-1,000 years that brought us the Roman warm period, the Medieval warm period and the modern warm period. It is also responsible for the Dark Ages cold period and the Little Ice Age. Finally, there is the much longer, natural glaciation/interglacial cycle as revealed by the Ice core data. This cycle reached peak warmth about 8,000 years ago, and was called the Holocene Climate Optimum, because scientists before 1988 understood that warmer was better than glaciation. All 3 natural cycles will be getting deeper into their cool phases for the next 20-30 years, and the Arctic ice will be expanding, unfortunately. After that, the AMO will start another warm phase, but it will not have a boost from the 800-1,000 year cycle, and the next warm phase of the AMO may just slow the cooling. I probably won't be around in 30 years, but all the younger climate alarmists around today will claim that they always knew it was going to get colder! Predicting the climate is difficult, but predicting human behavior is not so tough.
Thank you for the facts. The scientific understanding and history of ocean circulation as it affects climate. They need to be teaching this in schools today. 🧊 ❄️ 🧊 ❤
Tony Heller has shown repeatedly through historical observations and news reporting that summer sea ice in the arctic was less over 120 years ago into the 1920s than today. Actually we have satellite data going back to 1973. The reason for the 1979/1980 starting points on all the data is because that was the peak coldness that brought about all the news reports and speculation we were headed into a new ice age. So by using that year as a starting point, it can be used to support the global warming hysteria.
I follow Tony and the charts he posted recently shows nothing remarkable. According to climatologist we should have been ice free in 2013, well that didn’t happen.
Tony Heller is awesome a must watch channel he opened my eyes to data manipulation and "lost years" he is my go to for truth and this channel i'm glad i found and subscribed to it.

Just for clarity, and this has happened before with the ice age. The ice caps melting is what brings on an ice age. It gets hot enough to melt the ice, the ice cools the ocean, the ocean makes the air colder (that's where weather patterns come from) and then the earth gets cold. Climate change existed long before any of us, that's not up for debate. The only argument is whether we're expediting the process. Again, the ice age WAS climate change. Before that, it WAS hot. Warm weather* is good. Warm climate* is bad. 2 different things.

They earn six and seven figure salaries, spend their days socializing and traveling around the globe conferencing with other cult members or willingly exploited shills, so no.
What the "warmists" don't want people to know is that we are in an interglacial period of an ice age. There have been a few interglacial periods in this ice age, and they have all been significantly warmer than this one. This interglacial appears to be petering out and then it is going to get REALLY cold, really quickly (on a geologic timescale).
But they know that cooling period is around the corner and are creating a new narrative in panic. Now they claim that the ice melts create new ice age by stopping the AMOC. There needs to be visible science based explanations to show them that it is not happening. Also if it would happen there would not be full blown ice cover across the world. North would be colder and equator would be hot..
Science is not a matter of left versus right. The Heartland Institute is not a scientific organisation. It is a "free market" think tank. It's discussions of science are skewed towards supporting that ideology. See my comment above rebutting the claims made in this video.
Born 1970, Living very far north in Sweden, less than 100miles/160km from the arctic circle. I can clearly say weather are pretty much EXACTLY the same now as the 80:s winters are equally long and cold with the exact insane ammount of snow and - 40 celcius in januari as per usual. Summer are exactly the same as they where back then, rarely above +25 celcius and usual normal ammount of rain.... Weather here EXACTLY the same as ever, including the temps... Seems like it's only on paper it has changed, nothing to be seen or felt. And i have a very very good memory aswell. So i can confidently assure you the winters and summers are equally long now as they where before almost on the day every year..
Is anyone old enough to remember being taught in school that the hole in the ozone was an apocalyptic crisis? Well today the hole is 500 times larger and not a peep from politicians or scientists.
If you could actually read, the ozone hole opens periodically and is occasionally bigger than expected. It’s usually closed by late December and open up around July. I’m guessing even basic research isn’t your strong point otherwise you wouldn’t make uninformed statements.
@@paulegerton1583 I'm not sure you can read. We all know it opens and closes, but the narrative of the 1980's was that we were destroying the ozone layer and it was going to disappear. The point was, we were lied to. Learn to interpret what you read.
Hole or not, I have been to Australia in 1994 and I can witness that exposure to sun would burn one’s skin in one day. No matter what's the initial skin color is, it would become purple burnt. It’s not a sun tan. I live in a northern hemisphere very shiny region and know what sun tan looks like.

Every summer, climate ‘scientists’ charter an icebreaker and try to survey the arctic sea ice. They never complete their survey. There aren’t enough icebreakers available in the north to go around, and so their charter is always cut short because their ship gets re-tasked to free some icebound ship… Ah, the irony…
Even IF all the ice melts, it will NOT increase water levels even a fraction of an inch. Try this at home: overfill a glass with ice then fill water to the top, nearly overflowing. After the ice mets, the water will still remain at the top and not a drop will have left the glass. So, why the panic?… money and power to be had.
I'm not a climate change nut at all. Quite the opposite, actually. The problem with this argument though, is that something like 75% of the ice is on land in the arctic and Antarctica. The sea levels would absolutely rise if it did all melt. If it does all melt it would be a stretch to say humans caused it. Let's say it does all melt and it is our fault. It will melt slowly over probably hundreds or thousands of years. No tidal waves like The Day After Tomorrow. Humans could just gradually move away from coastlines and take their sweet ass time doing it.
LOL you really think the earth's climate system is as simple as an ice cube in your glass? I'll give you one hint as to how even the basis of this idea is completely off-base: not all ice melting is floating on the water. Greenland, antarctic, and all glaciers are LAND ICE. Now rethink your little kindergarten science experiment. Oh also, thus channel is funded by oil billionaires so maybe consider where their interests might lie
1979 is used as a baseline because that was when sea ice extent was at it's greatest. We have satellite pictures from the early 70's that show much less extent but they always use 1979.

Conspiracy theories are what you have when you don't have evidence. Adjustments are made to historical data when using the data to monitor temperature change to take into account changes at particular sites due to factors such as urban heat island effect, opening of irrigation schemes, movement of sites etc. The largest change to global data was due to changing the measurement method of sea surface which covers 71% of the earth's surface. Prior to about 1940, a bucket was dropped over the side, hauled up on deck, a thermometer stuck in and the temperature recorded when it reached equilibrium. During this time evaporation cooled the bucket and the water so the recorded temperature was lower than the actual temperature. After 1940 the temperature is recorded from the intake pipe in the interior of the ship which is warmed by the engines. So the recorded temperature is higher than the actual temperature. So the adjustment for this LOWERS the change in global temperature. Furthermore, satellite temperature data matches the surface data.
You got to just love that little part below where she's talking, it says climate change is man-made when we have absolutely nothing to do with it on a large enough scale to even measure.
Satellites have been in the sky more time than that! ( moonlanding 1969 ) Actually I have seen satellite seeice statistics from year 1971 ( Tony Heller ) Reason why this statitics is kept from the public is that the sea ice was peaking 1979!
Yes, there were satellites before that time. But they did not use them to gather this data on a systematic basis until 1979. Sure, there was some use of satellites to gather sea ice data before then. But it was ad hoc.
There was a research ship a few years ago headed to the arctic to study the melting sea ice. They couldn't make it to the study site because of too much ice. It was the third year in a row they were turned back. Donations to the effort are likely still being collected.
Actually, a lot of people are talking about the subject, and refuting the climate change death cult. But there's a concerted effort to make sure voices like Dr John Christy Dr Judith Curry Dr Freeman Dyson Dr William Happer Dr Ian Plimer Dr Richard Lindzen Dr Willie Soon Just to name a few I'm aware of are not heard.

Ice at the poles and sea ice, over the history of the planet, especially the last billion years, is the exception and NOT the norm. She pointed to something I've been trying to point out more and more recently, especially with the way the "science" and Media report on climate change. The average observer is told things by the media based on a report or a talking point becomes popular on an issue of science and it's presented as fact. The further and further we look back into the history of our planet, whether it be climate or say, our hominid ancestors, very little is fact! More often than not....much more often than not, things are presented based on just a couple, few or even just one piece of the puzzle. A puzzle with hundreds of pieces. Science is making an educated guess...at best. For instance, snow ball earth...is a theory. Contested by many researchers. Yet, it's been presented as fact. If you have a 500 piece puzzle of a scooner on the sea and you're just missing one or two pieces, it's easy to still see ...its a scooner. But, if you only have one, two or even three pieces of that 500 piece puzzle, guessing it's a scooner would be pretty amazing! So, the further we go back in time, just remember it's not facts being told. Its a theory. When a subject like climate change has been so wildly corrupted, be very weary of those claims. It's so much more than just confirmation bias at play. It's downright lying we have to contend with, as has been proven.
There is also the GAIA theory on how systems always balance themselves. It would be interesting to see research that would combine the human physics and needs with our changing environment. Like population growth relationship with need for more carbon..
This would be a great free-form video. Dr. John Campbell does videos in that type of format. Put together some bullet points, research, links, and then put together some general points you want to cover. Then record yourself talking the audience through the research and charts like Dr. Campbell does (check his RU-vid videos out). I promise, since you've already done the leg-work/studying, it won't take nearly as long as it seems. Setup a mobile phone, print out the studies, or record your screen with OBS and get a bluetooth headset/mic to make it happen. You could make a really good video if you put together your journey on how you arrived. Folks like me would watch those videos and Dr. Campbell clearly gets views from his content, doing this.
Ironically, they told us back in the 70s that we'd be in a new ice age by now. When I was young, they spent about two minutes on the weather report. Now, every forecast is a huge production. Every time there's a typical thunderstorm, there's alerts on the phones. And snow makes these people absolutely giddy. Over the past 50 years, it's not the weather or climate that's changed.... it's the way they present it.
In the 1970’s, a handful of scientists (not a consensus) indicated that human caused air pollution was increasing and aerosols (particulate matter) in our atmosphere would cause cooling due to an albedo effect. As a result of observations and a switch to cleaner fuel burning, this no longer seen as a problem.
Well done , if all the sea ice in the world suddenly melted overnight the sea levels will actually go DOWN as ice displaces more water when frozen , it's the land locked ice that will make major changes if that melts .
Sorry, Climate Cult. Guess your sky is going to have to keep falling for a bit longer. 😂 Great info. It's nice to see ALL the data. Wish more people would see your updates and stop falling for the climate doom and gloom hustle.
One of the things that should be mentioned in this context (and I'm fairly surprised that it wasn't mentioned in the video) is that 1979 was a particularly cold year, finishing a particularly cold decade - to my knowledge, the coldest decade in the 20th century. It's no surprise that ice levels were particularly high at that time, so any decline would be expected.
We are a Goldilocks beings, on a Goldilocks planet, during a Goldilocks time. We haven't been here long, and probably won't be here much longer. Advanced humans have only existed for a few thousand years. The odds of us being here a few thousand years from now are not in our favor.
Before I retired from a major airline, I flew international routes, mostly to Asia. The routes to Korea and China took us few 100 miles from the North Pole. There was always ice up there year round, And during the winter, it was entirely covered with ice.
Here's a fun fact for you, each year the artic ice melts, and then returns during the fall and winter seasons. Also during the Romen empire there was little to no ice as that period was not in any kind of ice age like we are today even though we are in a mini ice age. Great video young lady I hope to see you again maybe on a topic less corrupted by politics.😉
1. I agree with her explanation. 2. Furthermore, sea ice melting during the northern hemisphere summer has NO RELATION to global temperature and/or atmospheric carbon dioxide. 3. Arctic and Antarctic sea ice melt in hemispheric summers happens because of the tilt of Earth. These regions receive 23 hours of constant infrared radiation bombardment, which is what really melts the sea ice along with warm sea surface temperature. 4. During the hemispheric winter, the Earth is tilted back the other way, receiving way less infrared radiation, which quickly freezes the sea surface. In Antarctica, within 60 days, the Ronne and Ross ice shelves can grow 1,000 miles. In an attempt to counter the argument that ice grows back during hemispheric winter, those amongst us who are climate change enthusiasts try to claim that the ice is thinner now then it was before. The average thickness of winter sea ice on either one of Earth's poles is typically 17 ft. Mankind has only recently discovered Antarctica within the last 250 years. There is absolutely no way to prove this hypothesis claimed by climate change enthusiasts. 5. Within the next 5,000 to 10,000 years sea ice on either one of Earth's poles will no longer melt during the hemispheric winters. It will be an estimated 100,000 years before the next interglacial begins. In the last 2.58 million years, there have been 19 glacial maximums and 20 interglacials. Each one of these phases lasting on average 128,000 years. There is an abundance of hands-on evidence for the quaternary glaciation, sometimes referred to as the Pleistocene glaciation. Further evidence aligns with Milankovitch theory. 6. Also, carbon dioxide reacts from infrared radiation striking the surface of Earth. 7. Warming periods and cooling periods on Earth occur because of Earth's distance from the sun, it's tilt during orbit, and its orbital shape. I describe Milankovitch Theory. 8. Along with Milankovitch theory is the fact that the sun has periods of heightened activity. 9. Prove to all of us without a shadow of a doubt why you know how the P.E.T.M. occurred 56 million years ago. 10. How is it that a glacial period occurred at the end of the Ordovician period when the global carbon dioxide level was over 4,000 parts per million? Mid Ordovician period average temperature was well above 85°Fahrenheit. Same with the Cambrian, Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous. The entire Mesozioc era demonstrates the same climatic oscillations. Geologically speaking, an atmospheric carbon dioxide level of 400 PPM is historically low. The absolute rock bottom is 180 PPM. At that level, photosynthesis shuts down. Observing geologic time scale and historical average temperatures over the last 550 million years, Earth has not been this cold since the Ordovician extinction 446 million years ago. The average co2 level over the last 542 million years is 1960 PPM. It has not risen above 500 PPM in the last 66 million years. There is a good chance that Earth is headed into another snowball Earth period like it did in the Cryogenian period 635 million to 720 million years ago. This has happened three times in Earth's 4.58 billion year history. Warmth supports life. Cold kills life.
lol fact check that hilarious! They keep lying about the ice melt and sea level rise yet the sea level is no higher than when I was a kid. Same water level at all the water front places we went to 40 years ago, guess it’s only rising on tv.
I am not in a position to take sides in this debate but I am sure of two things: 1. Those advocating concerns about climate change mean well, regardless of the veracity of their reasoning 2. Those who adamantly claim that climate change is not an issue are typically corporations or other entities motivated by financial profits.
Also. It’s very important to note that while one particular spot may show melting, if you go across to the other side of the artic you will find that there is substantial freezing of once liquid ocean. The earth shifts on its own axis. Anyone with a high school education can figure that out
Last year's minimum extent was down 44 percent from the 1996 level, which was the last year it stayed above seven million square kilometers. However, there has been no increase in the level of melting over the last eleven years.
But, but, but people who benefit from saying otherwise have told me to not believe logic and facts. I'm so conflicted right now. Do I continue to believe proven, lying, corrupt and hypocritical cowards or simple facts?
And even if the Arctic ice melts it make s no difference to the sea level as the Arctic ice is floating in the water. It is only if the Antarctic ice melts there will be a problem.

Thank you for reporting the truth. I have visited the high arctic in the northwest passage between Resolute Bay and Somerset Island during the late summer. I was amazed to see icebergs as bid as buildings. There is no shortage of ice and it isn't going away as they want us to believe.

They've been pulling chunks of fossilized Balsam wood out of the Arctic tundra, for ages. Around 500 years ago, we had something called the Little Ice Age, where summers never happened and the majority of the planet starved to death. The catastrophe is the amount of fear and panic that people experience, because they forget that we live on an ever-changing planet that turns forests into deserts and deserts into forests, with zero concern for what we think of it.
Restoring Arctic Ice. The water temperature at the bottom of the sea is colder than at the top, so simply pump up the cold water at the edge of the ice flow to slow the warming/melting process. This can be done by hanging 30' diameter tubes, by floating vertically from the surface down close to the bottom. Each segment has floats to alleviate the weight. A solar powered pump at the top would need to just pump out 3' of water before the capillary effect would automatically begin bringing up the colder water to the surface. If 10,000 of these were placed close to the ice edge it would effectively lower the temperature of the water that is contacting the ice flow, slowing the melt during summer, increasing the ice build up in winter, and lowering the mean temperature of the region. Possible slowing the Greenland ice as well. One would do nothing, 10,000 would bring change.
The UN's definition ignores the fact that Earth's temperatures have varied dramatically over the thousands of years before humanity started measuring it. Indeed, it is a fact that humanity started measuring temperatures when the Earth's temperatures were at their lowest.
And if the people who actually study the cycles of warming and cooling are correct we're due to enter another cooling period. The ice age is not over yet!
