Honestly, the lyrics of this song are so damn good. The story of someone going around, trying to get over their ex whilst simultaneously asking every new hook up if they can call them her name. In the end, the only person who agrees to it is the damn sister of the ex haha. The ability to pull at someone's heart strings and then make them laugh right at the end is a beautiful thing. @@eminkesik7705 that is the beauty of the song to me, it can have multiple interpretations. I've seen people saying is about a guy trying to overcome the death of his girlfriend, others saying it is a prostitute, or indeed an ex and her sister. It can go either ways, whetever you decided to believe

Out of all their lives, Glastonbury 2013 is one of my top favorites. He connects so well with the crowd, he jokes, they all have an UNBELIEVABLE power on stage. I just love the whole concert.

Arctic monkeys define this generation. It must take a lifetime for us to appreciate how different they can be, and not just different, but outstanding in whatever music branch. It's amazing that we can listen to so much varied albums, as each of them is a masterpiece
This. This is what so many fans forget, their not and never were about quick-cheeky one liners mashed together into a fast flowing indie rock song. They've never released two albums of the same genre. Their first was Indie Rock, Second Garage rock, third was Heavy rock, forth was pop rock, fifth was modern rock, sixth was soft rock, and The Car was widely funk rock. So many fans expect them to be quick and dicey and wild, but thats never what they were about, they were always evolving thier sound and changing to make it better.

Best band out there right now by a mile. How many bands can say that their 5th studio album is arguably the best? Proof of enduring quality and a sound evolution that comes natural to a once in a generation band.
I thought I would get emotional anyway, but with the strings on this it actually makes me want to weep. so beautiful.. I am sitting here in bed, late at night, watching this - which in retrospect probably was not a clever idea - trying to contain my emotions. it's not going well so far.
+Gary Dodd , I agree with that. I dislike Coldplay, but I love "Yellow" so much. I don't like the vocalist's voice, so it would be lovely to hear Alex sing it sometime.
What's funniest to me is at first he was singing Soul Love by David Bowie and no one sang back and then he sings yellow and everyone starts singing..he looks so annoyed and that was so adorable 🤣
i dont know how alex turner does it he has such a soft voice here but like with his other songs there is that stRONG INTIMidating voice his duality ooof and just this song has my heart (oversharing opinions on comments>>>>>>>>>>)
