Doesn't it bother anyone that this is the only No Buses live by Arctic Monkeys ? Arctic Monkeys need to play this in their concert ffs, it is a beautiful piece.
I'm from the future. I remember seeing them in concert. ol boy was drunk he was hahaha. still managed to put on a great shows. they opened for interpol.
Mc Chmil means he thinks about her 1 hour a day, but he realizes he's after her and she's after someone else, so he get s resignated and brushes it out saying he had the other hours of the days to think about something else
@@andrealexandre4719 yes, he means that she’s just one out of 24, as he’s comparing her to buses. There are 24 hours per day, and a new bus every hour, meaning she’s just one out of the 24 buses that arrive at the bus stop.
Someday we might never know it.... In one of their shows, this'll play oh so suddenly along with Fluorescent and Mardy Bum.... Then they'll finish it off with A Certain Romance ... As we cry our hearts out during the whole spectacular.
I probably wouldn't like them in Alex's new theatrical voice though. So they're better left in the past in footage like this ^^ His voice nowadays works better with their more recent albums. I do miss them finishing their shows with A Certain Romance though.
+john deagler he has definetely changed his voice, but not as much. He purposely tries to sing low pitched live now. I think if he tries old songs like he used to he would do a decent job. He can't be bothered anyway hahah
It's near impossible to choose a favourite album, it's unbelievable how talented a group of 19 year olds could be, this is no were near their best song, but imagine even writing something like this, way beyond his age maturity
This has been my safeplace on youtube for a while now. A video I keep coming back to. I like AM, but I feel like some songs have become too calculated. This just feels so real and honest...
Thank you! Its nice to see that someone shares my opinion! So many people love them for AM .. I'm like .. It´s great! But you should check out the previous albums.
Jamie may not have spectacular solos like other guitarists, but what I love about him is that he's a song player' and what I mean by that is he carries and song with his notes and Rhythm. So underrated
Whoever got to hear this live is a lucky bastard.. I'm seeing them live in 2023 in Manchester, I'm going to request this song via sign and it's almost impossible for them to play it but it's worth a try.
MisterNoseyTV I think it's pointless to compare earlier albums with this new. They are going through changes like everybody and can not always be the same, but if you ask me, old school AM is more attractive. :D
I know, I was just pointing out that their old school stuff is nicer to listen to in my opinion lol, I'm not saying that the new stuff sucks, I'm just saying that I have more of a connection to old school AM. :)
I hadn't heard this one before now, and now it's my favourite one. It's one of those songs that are just so amazing, that you can hardly believe it. There's really no words to describe it. Alex Turner is a legend.
Lady, where's your love gone? I was looking but can't find it anywhere They always offer when there's loads of love around But when you're short of some it's nowhere to be found Well, I know your game, you told him yesterday No chance, you'll get nothing from me But now she's there, you're there and everybody's there And he's in turmoil as puzzled as can be, just like me Let's go down, down low down Where I know I should not go Oh, and she thinks she's the one But she's just one in twenty-four And just 'cause everybody's doing it Does that mean that I can, too? Lady, where's your love gone? It was the antiseptic to the sore To hold you by the hand must he first be in demand? How he longs for you to long for him once more, just once more Let's go down, down low down Where I know I should not go Oh, and she thinks she's the one But she's just one in twenty-four And just 'cause everybody's doing it Does that mean that I can, too? Her eyes went down and cut you up And there's nothing like a dirty look from The one you want or the one you've lost An ache in your soul, it's everybody's goal To get what they can't have That's why you're after her and that's why she's after him But saying it won't change a thing And now realizing it won't change a thing Realizing it won't change a thing
This song takes me to a place of longing for the hope of true love and the pressures of waiting while feelings become awakened. Simply stated: It's a song of romance.
@@amyhaleeb5527 exactly! I like to reflect on this because the band was around ~20 when they played this and I'm currently 20. I find that I appreciate their earlier stuff at this point in my life. I wonder if as I get older my preference will correspond to their ages as they released their albums. idk...
Alex Prosserman I understand what you mean. Maybe because you are going through similar situations as they were singing about when they were your age. Yes, maybe you will grow to like their new stuff, who knows :) I am a teenager and I appreciate this type of music so much more than those popular radio songs and those raps. Arctic monkeys wrote songs with actual meaning and their lyrics are chosen so carefully that they are so unique which is what I love :)
i love him so much his music will forever remind me of being 13 finally discovering music on my own and finding what i liked, i miss being so young and full of emotions, excited for life
I fell for THIS Alex, not the 2014 Alex, this one, this beautiful, scruffy haired English boy, with high strapped guitars and white hoodies, not the one today, with button down white shirts, the first 3 buttons carelessly undone, and too much pomade. I miss the old Al, damnit. So fucking much. :(
Fuck you there is no such a thing as old and young someone that doesn't exist it's the same person we are talking about I love HIM not what he was or is his voice is amazing his song writing is amazing he is so hot and A.M is still good that's enough for me
Great! Finally a version that works... I used to watch this on MTV but it's not longer available (at least on the Latin American version of the site) Thanks!
