Funny that the moment the Arctic Monkeys started getting mainstream popularity, "real fans" went back to this album calling it great and complaining how they've gotten popular and that they've changed; even though when this album came out, the same fans called it terrible for sounding different from their older stuff. Music fans can be really weird like that. I think all of their albums are great for their own reasons, (except for suck it and see) but that still had a few good songs.

Kinda weird how people abuse young girls particularly, for liking indier music and say they aren't true fans, but would equally take the piss out of them for liking 1D

Recently discovered this band and I'm mad at myself for not knowing them earlier. Their music is just amazing!!

What a band! There's people here bleating on about 'the way they used to sound', to my ears they've progressed with every album which is surely natural? I'm a fan of their stuff period and Alex's lyrics are brilliant modern poetry but generally speaking I'd rather a band develops than churn out the same formula ad infinitum. When you listen to their debut then play 'AM' you can see how far they've come.

Everyone has their opinions on which albums are best and how their music has progressed. You can't say AM is the worst as a fact. It's your opinion. Therefore, people can think different. Bands can't do the same thing forever, they gotta mix it up. I absolutely love this song and newer stuff too. I think some people fail to appreciate that bands would not survive if they don't change from album to album.

Such an epic song. It just keeps building up up up and then climaxes, then starts all over again. One of their best.

Sorry people but the AM album has it's own style with that dark, thrilling beats and poemic lyrics. I love all of their albums and songs but I think AM is unique. I mean their old songs are not that noticeable among all the stuff of their kind. I believe they improve a lot and their music is getting better with every new album.
