@@tyde4610 yea, because it attracted new fans and the old fans got kinda "offended" because of this. they think new fans are bad. but guess what? i became an arctic monkeys fan because of this album! now i'm a really big fan, and am is far from being my fav album. but in sound question, am is also a great album.
It's very different from their old stuff but dammit it's fucking legendary. I can't not love this band because they just are that good. They are evolving as artists. Some bands keep doing the same thing and it's just getting old.. Anyway, seen them live and I must say the new stuff sounds even better live. Bless them
Indeed he is young and is incredibly gifted to create really amazing music, he lost some fans coz of his change of direction but at the end of the day that's what he loves let him be, he is the artist he writes and composes his music.
Beth These fans went away 'cause they bacame fans just because of AM. This catchy mainstream album made them to call themselves "fans". TBHC has did not make this success but the quality is way better, imo
It's about the secret space program, where they have been into as guests; the lyrics of every single song on this album + the album itself are 100% evidence of this!
But really... to sing that accurately on a stage of that size and being outside. Any performing musician knows that monitors on stage are not THAT reliable unless you're relatively close. It is impressive that he isn't using them.
I love their new album but was a bit hesitant at how it would be live. Seen them at TRNSMT yesterday and was utterly blown away. The new album sounds so good live and it just fits in so well with their older, rockier stuff. Such a good combination!
This album aged like a fine wine. 🍷🎼 An absolute melodically rich imaginative world of Pianos and Guitars. Gonna put this upon the wall when it's dark enough to dance.🖤🥀
I don’t know it it’s just my intuition but this album explores a different side of alex turner, a more dark one to be precise. This album is unique in a way that it devotes a lot of personal criticism and space exploration which I think stands for alex’s journey to self discovery. I just can’t put my finger around it, what makes this album extraordinary. It almost feels like he’s writing about his midlife crisis. His contemporary style of writing is actually inspired by his old techniques. There are a lot of references to his old songs within the new ones. From star treatment alone he references 505 from your favorite worse nightmare (arctic monkey’s first album) and I bet that you look good on the dance floor. I also assume that this album in a way shows where alex stands by the music industry or the world at all. He views himself as an outcast or to be more subtle and delict he pictures himself as an outlived 70’s rockstar and it breaks my heart that he feels that way, this album is sentimental in all shapes and forms possible. a work of art. to everyone complaining about their album being different than their previous one AM, I really think that’s absurd because none of their albums are really similar to each other, each and every one has it’s own style, distinctive is the word I’m looking for. Also you can’t expect alex to just keep making indie music about girls he calls when he’s intoxicated, the man is in his 30’s and I’m sure his priorities have changed.
After hearing it live in Copenhagen last week, Star Treatment has become one of my favourite songs from TBHC. It's so beautiful and the lyrics have a special meaning to me.
My favorite track from Tranquility Base Hotel And Casino... I just love the obscurity and the off-timed hooks... and "what do you mean you haven't seen blade runner?"... So who you gonna call? The martini police... I really love how the song was written!

@@VivekSingh-ji2ki Of course it is true!!! The _secret space program_ has been running behind the curtains for about 70 years! It was a horrible secret, because everyone who talked about it would lose his head... Nazis in space -- the _Nachtwaffe_ -- who was allied with the _Ciakahrr_ reptilian empire, would abduct little children, lead them in a 20-year-long trip through-out space and then regress them in their age and send them back in time to the point where they abducted them... The parents would see it as if their child had changed in an inexplicable way from one moment to the other and started to talk about unbelievable and unexplainable adventures in space!
LYRICS: I just wanted to be one of The Strokes Now look at the mess you made me make Hitchhiking with a monogrammed suitcase Miles away from any half-useful imaginary highway I'm a big name in deep space Ask your mates but golden boy's in bad shape I found out the hard way That here ain't no place for dolls like you and me Everybody's on a barge Floating down the endless stream of great TV 1984, 2019 Maybe I was a little too wild in the 70s Rocket-ship grease down the cracks of my knuckles Karate bandana Warp speed chic Hair down to there Impressive moustache Love came in a bottle with a twist off cap Let's all have a swig and do a hot lap So who you gonna call? The martini police Baby, that isn't how they look tonight, oh no It took the light forever to get to your eyes I just wanted to be one of those ghosts You thought that you could forget And then I haunt you via the rear view mirror On a long drive from the back seat But it's alright 'cause you love me And you recognize that it ain't how it should be Your eyes are heavy and the weather's getting ugly So pull over, I know the place Don't you know an apparition is a cheap date? What exactly is it you've been drinking these days? Jukebox in the corner Long hot summer They've got a film up on the wall and it's dark enough to dance What do you mean you've never seen Blade Runner? Oh, maybe I was a little too wild in the 70s Back down to earth with a lounge singer shimmer Elevator down to my make believe residency From the honeymoon suite Two shows a day, four nights a week Easy money So who you gonna call? The martini police So who you gonna call? The martini police Baby, that isn't how they look tonight It took the light absolutely forever to get to your eyes And as we gaze skyward, ain't it dark early? It's the star treatment, yeah And as we gaze skyward, ain't it dark early? It's the star treatment It's the star treatment The star treatment

One of the best star treatment i've ever heard , currently listening almost 5 times a day? Thank You Arctic Monkeys for creating and performing such a masterpiece
I think this song and the album as a whole are wonderful. Yes, it’s very different to their roots but surely they’re allowed to test out different styles
i want to thank all the people in the comments section four knowing great music when you and I here it I would also like to say that some people don't get them but if you are a deep person which I think most if not all in the comments section are them you no that they are in a class of there own and no iam not saying that other band great but you would have to go far and look really hard to find them and that what make them special ps one more time to make my point you guys who like and understand the arctic monkey are in my mind are legends xxxxxx
Alex build a time travel Machine to see his future self because TBH&C Al secretly had a time machine on his Tranquility Base Hotel Moon base . Now he's here.
