When it comes to price to performance ratio they basically annihilate the competition. Other prices of similar performance fans look like scam compared to this.

It's kinda ridiculous that they dethroned themselves. It's not like the P12 wasn't out there for years

For the regular p12s, Thermalright was putting on the pressure (pun intended) with their Thermalright TL-C12C fans. They sell 3 packs for about $11 USD, and the RGB equivalent 3 pack for $15.
@Mintor94

@@Mintor94 I said the regular non rgb p12s, which are 56 cfm at 1800 rpm. The rgb version pushes 48 cfm at up to 2000 rpm. The Thermalright in contrast clocks in at 66 cfm at 1550 rpm. At about $3.60 per fan, that's one of the best price to performance out there.

@@deuswulf6193 I know but P12 Max made them both irrelevant. P12 had quite a lot of competition, it wasn't top performer.
@gscurd75

That is a great design. Normally with RPMs that fast, you would not be able to use that kind of material in the blades. They would flex out and hit the wall, so you would have to leave more room in order to allow for the higher speeds. Which means less performance at lower RPMs. With that circle attached, there is much less flex and you can keep the clearance tighter. The T30 manages the higher RPM by using sturdier material which is a lot more expensive. Great job by Arctic giving people a variety of noise vs performance options all at very competitive prices.

I watched many videos where people praised these fans and decided to get 3 to replace P12s in Arctic Freezer II 240 and Silent Wings 3 on the case exhaust. Unfortunately, while P12 Max have really nice performance, the bearings noise is very noticeable to me, especially on lower RPM. So, I’m not able to these ones since my PC is next to me and I much prefer just the noise of air with fluid bearings fans. Going to return them 😢
@duduoson5278

Is it that bad or just a bad batch? Some people reported that the low rpm noise goes away, but it's just anecdotes at this point. I'll order a set and see for myself. Worst case I'll return them, they're the price of a single noctua anyways.

To anyone interested on these fans, DONT BUY THEM. I got 3 of them to replace NZXT stock fans and all of them have a weird scratching noise. @STSYT
@STSYT Год назад
There have been numerous reports about bearing issues shortly after they released. No idea if they have been fixed with never batches, but I would assume so. But as far as our samples are concerned, everything said is -solely- based on the exact ones we have, if they are bad, we’ll treat them as the norm, if we got golden samples, we’ll treat it as the norm. But as for scratching noises, if the fans are scratching anything, then it’s either just RMA and get a new one, or somebody installed them with the fans behind the fan-rails and tightened them to a point where the rails are bend in-to the fan, resulting in scratching the fan. Please check if this is the case because it happens extremely often, especially with fans that have that ring going around. On the other point, just stop saying stuff like that. There’s no basis for any of that. Cherry picking is a possibility for cpus/gpus, but no company will spend the resources to test thousands of fans and cherry pick a few to send out. On the paid stuff… yeah, somebody forgot to send me the memo

This pricing makes no sense. There must be one of 3 things following: 1. Arctic will rise the price (Which still not happening. I can get these of as much as 7 euro, tax included). 2. Other manufacturers will lower the price (Which still not hapening. Guess this is because of market inertia and people being not familiar with new offers like this.) 3. Reliability of P12 Max is not as good as everyone expects. But it has 5 years warranty in my country. Looks like Arctic is pretty confident about their product. Makes me want to buy more fans than i actually need.. simply because i can afford this. Which i can not say about other similarly performing models.

Most mobo's fan headers are rated for 1A. Some can go higher, but that's not something you want to find out by trial and error. According to the box, the P12 Max uses 0.29A. So yes, 3 fans to a header to be safe. If you really don't have another header to do 3+2, yes fan hub is the only way.
