One of these spawned right near my base(level 110, hard difficulty) and I actually managed to kill it, I used my baryonyx as a tank and whacked away with my ascendant sword, I had to go back and forth 3 or 4 times to heal, but I didn’t lose any of my tames which was amazing. I only got 2 levels from the alpha, but I’m ok with it, I’m mainly happy about the trike bone helmet and rex trophy.

Next time empty your wolf’s inventory except for meat because when you’re heavy you end up slow as heck. Or ya coulda just pumped some levels into speed/weight. also for a wolf with 420% melee it didn’t go very much damage.

I killed my first alpha Rex with a level 37 ptera. Took me seven ark days to kill it, I had to because it was really close to my base
