Today we will examine the "Dot Matrix LED Module" and test it with the example of "Scrolling Text". This LED Matrix “4-in-1” has four singular displays soldered on one piece of a single printed circuit board. You can easily create a "scrolling text" project by getting this module.

For anyone saying they cannot find a way to reverse text, don't go to the folders to find the .h file to change. In the example itself; find and change all instances of PAROLA_HW to FC16_HW

Hey guys, make sure your library is the same version as the one in the video, if it isn't go ahead and install the older version shown in the video. The MD_MAX72XX library's version is 2.10.0 while the HD_Parola library is version 2.7.4

Hi, Great video on how to make the scrolling matrix. I made one wthe two 4 in 1 MAX7219 displays. Worked PERFECTLY. Only have one question, maybe at my age (78) I'm missing something. How would you connect two matrices so they are touching (side by side). Do you solder or use wires. And maybe a simple explanation as to how someone might connect them. I've looked all over the internet and people say you can connect them but don's show how. I would REALLY APPRECIATE your reply.

@@TechnoEveryday thanks for you reply. My concern was more about the wire connections between the two scrolling displays. Besides soldering a small piece of wire between (Vcc to Vcc) (Grd to Grd) (Data-out to Data-in) etc OR laying a solder bead between each….. Someone had said they made connections such that they can unplug one from the other in case one died. I’m not sure how that is done? yet, that’s what I’d like to do

Sir you may want to use header pin and header socket whose legs are bent 90 degrees. Another option is to use header pins with jumpers as we used to see in old motherboards..... Hope that helps

Sir, i want to ask when we connect this led matrix to arduino and then we connect them both with PC to upload program, does the matrix LED turns on automatically or not. In my case, when I'm connecting both the module with PC, some part of the LED turns on and some are off. This is my first project and i have very basic knowledge about electronic and nil about coding.

here is mistake in your description - you wrote CLK is inserted into 12 pin, but sketch example uses 13 pin for that

Regarding the issue of inverted display...I thought it was just me. Then I found this video. I followed the instructions to fix the problem but can't complete the procedure because I don't have the same lines to modify in my library file. I opened the file in Notepad and Word Pad and then also in the Text Editor on my MAC. The lines are NOT in the file anymore like in the tutorial.

Software (i prefer): use P.setIntensity(1); Hardware: change resistors on the board.

Abi selamlar burda kullandığın max7219xx ve parola kütüphanelerinin versiyon numaralarını lütfen söyleyebilir misin o yaptığın düzeltme Son versiyonlarda öyle bir satır bulunmuyor. 2.10 da var ama bu sefer de parola ile uyuşmuyor.

Mert bey videolarınız neden türkçe değil? Biliyorsunuz ki Türkiye'de arduino gibi kartlar için kaynak sıkıntısı yaşanıyor. Arduino için tüm youtube u aradım fakat işe yarar bir türkçe kaynak bulamadım.Bence ilk önce Türkçe videolar hazırlamalı ve kaynak eksikliğini gidermelisiniz. Daha sonra ise ingilizce videolar hazırlayabilirsiniz. Tabii ki benden farklı düşünebilirsiniz , benimki sadece bir fikir. Ancak ülkemizden bilim adamları çıksın istiyorsak ki istiyoruz bu söylediklerimi bir an önce hayata geçirmek şart. Teşekkürler... Hepbirlikte aydınlık yarınlara!

Yes, as long as you supply enough voltage. You might need a DC-DC booster if you use 1 cell and a DC-DC buck converter if you use a 2s pack.
