Are 1000cc+ Motorcycles Too Powerful For The Street? 

Awesome video and good opinion honestly. I started on a Fz-07 and went to a MT-10 a year later. It was so fun and amazing. It opened my eyes and I gained a respect for motorcycles once I got the experience.

Any bike is about common sense. And if you don’t have any. It doesn’t matter what you ride.

I really like what you said on how it’s a “muscle bike” I feel that same way about the Streetfighter V4 There’s nothing like it.

Awesome video man. Agree with all you said.. I have a 1290 superduke.. and I love how the electronics make that bike go from a gentle giant to a demon on steroids✊🏻 and even though that bike is capable of things that’s beyond my experience. It’s why that kind of hyper naked makes it so much fun.

I have that same helmet in red carbon fiber. This is also my next bike. I really want cruise control.

Oh nice a new upload! I only got a ZX1200C (152hp sport tourer), nothing comparable to your bike in terms of power (aggression) and style. But ever since I got it I kinda don't want any less power even though I am a very relaxed rider. Overtaking is super quick and fun, gears are spaced out more nicely compared to lower powered bikes. Which means I get to be lazy if I choose to be. The displacement makes for good torque. I love having the extra power when I want it. I prefer riding it over my 600 any day of the week for regular street riding.

What isn't too much for the street? Any motorcycle can easily break the speedlimit, can easily be ridden dangerously. You don't "need" a motorcycle at all. A SV650? Way too much for the road. An R6? Waaaay too much. I ride a 1000cc because I think its a cool bike and I like that it goes vroom fast. Also, at 6'4 and well over 200lb - most "middle weight" bikes are literally too small for me. Not only do I not fit on them, it looks ridiculous. IMO one of the best things about motorcycles is you're getting hypercar performance for a fraction of the price of an everyday car. Imagine buying a new car with the performance of a Ducati SFV4. Almost nobody can afford that. But not only that, we're getting that performance for cheap in the package of a motorcycle - the most fun and engaging way to go from A to B.

Yes and no I bought my rc51 new in 02 and it was very usable But my current cbr1000rr only has 150 something to the tire and you can totally ride it. But to get the most of it your illegal in almost any gear

There is this train thought around that you must always use 100% of the bike, i think that being able to be in a higher gear anf still be able to haul ass really practical

They are too much for the street for sure, and for most people, they are too much for the track as well…which is why I LOVE them so much. 🤣🤣

NO, the street does not ride them, the rider does. I'm a rider and their to slow for me.
