Inherited tons of these mail order stamp books. They were musty and dusty but pretty cool so we thought they might be worth something. Rare coins shop said they weren't worth anything and the stamp shop almost laughed us out of the building. They say they see so many of these books where older folks "invest" in them and the company just keeps sending more books but they really have no value. I put them in little treasure bags with foreign coins for the kids in my family. Kids love shiny things. Thanks for the info Seeker!
Yes...really not worth very much. They are a made up collectible...the ones shown here have not even gone through the mail, as they have replica stamps and made up cancelations on the cover.
@@lincolncentralcoins1452 Will do! I don't really do stamps either, just coins and bullion. But if I meet someone I'll let them know you're looking. :)
No different than replica coins...they made the industry lots of money selling to gullible people. The actual paper stamp probably has more value than the gold. First day issues are barely worth more than face value.
That is so cool not like U.S., a flag that sais forever. Like how much is it they can just say oh $10.00 but next year $20.00 we'll let ya know, backed by what seems like more paper terrorism. Very cool backed by gold. Thank you & love from Las Vegas Nevada US.
