This bait caster has centrifugal brake system that can be adjusted. The side plate comes off and it has 6 pins to adjust. Not bashing on you brother as I also love the reel.
Why cant you adjust it (the brake system)? I have the step down version (Ethos, 8.1:1). $84.99 is the price. I like everything except for the pawl/line guide assembly and the spool. The former is too thin and not ported which does cause some spooling issues. The latter is noisy. Outside of these items the reel work great. Thanks for the review.
I should have said there's no quick adjustment knob on the cover like other reels. It has a tension control knob and drag but nothing for the brake system on the opposite side of the reel. Thanks for your input! I have not used the Ethos line up yet!
