The way it works is the block time is for when your last drop off is. Not returning to the depo. So in your case the 3 hour block calculated is for last house you you are due to visit. If you have an item to return to the depo and it takes you over 3 hours then you can claim for an adjustment.

I had a 48 parcel 3.5 hour block which was supposedly only 2.5 hours even though the first drop was 35 minutes away and the route was similar to yours (mostly farms and countryside areas with a fair drive between each drop) and I also had to complete a return which was a further 30 minutes back to the depot so all together the route took 4 hours. Seems like amazon are becoming a lot more strict on their routes now as many drivers would finish early. Luckily managed to get a pay adjustment and they paid me an extra hours worth even though I only finished 31 minutes past the finish time.

I really like your content but can you try to be less negative. The way you calculate everything is wrong. The block ends when you make your last delivery if you don’t have to return anything. That trip back to the depot you aren’t making but calculating is a nonsense.

You just need to deliver 1 parcel beyond your block time to claim extra. Just 1 minute after your block time you will get at least 7 quid

I used to deliver for amazon via a DSP. we were told amazon factor in the distance / time from the depot to the first stop

I deliver for Sainsbury's covering between Torquay up to oakhampton and everytbing in-between and i funnily always look out for Micra's on the road. If you get flashed by one its me!!! ( I do all those same lanes in a van so less moaning 😂😂)

Have you considered that you doing 20mph down a 60mph national speed limit lane is why youre not on time. Im sure my company sainsburys calculates delivery times based on the time and speed of road you driving on so doing 20\30 on a 60mph is putting you behind. Obviously youre not gonna do 60 but this is my thinking.
