Bronco will smash a Blazer every time. you just have to get vehicles that are in comparable condition. it doesn't even look like the Bronco driving is locking into four-wheel drive
God i felt like i was caught somewhere between lagging and watching a slide show with this video! Lol cut back on the editing man. Otherwise cool content.
@@justinstrickland446 That Bronco is definately in need of some love. Not really sure what you are basing your opinion on though. The Bronco has a shorter wheelbase, weighs less than the Blazer and doesnt have a steering box thats going to rip off the frame. If you don't like the TTB on the Bronco thats preferred by desert runners you can do a solid axle swap. The TTB definately has its strong areas and not so strong areas. The solid axle kits out there make it easy to change. Noone keeps an offroad vehicle stock anyways, especially axles and gears. I would take the Bronco any day of the week. They are more unique. They made the same k5 for 20 years and there are millions of xjs. I do like the xjs for a cheap beater offroad just hate that unibody frame. I have had all three at one point in life. I just have a 1996 Bronco now. Its not stock and I am very happy with it. In reality any of them can be good or bad depending on condition and mods. Everyone has what they like and personally I like them all just prefer the Bronco.
@@curlylarrymoe surprised a real response on youtube, that never happens lol. while i do agree its unique, the weight difference between the blazer and bronco is very minimal. The blazer frame does not crack as easy as the truck frames and theres a reason the blazer was basically the same for 18 years and really similar for more than that, it didnt need to be changed. And yea no ones keeping anything stock if they are doing anything more than easy trail riding. and xjs are a dime a dozen which just makes them almost the perfect platform to build off of, other than the stupid unibody, but it has a ton of aftermarket support. The bronco is the biggest body of the three which is hard for us east coast wheelers, full size broncos are not very common wheelers here. Ive had all three as well a 96 bronco, 92 bronco, 89 xj, 96 xj, 84 blazer and a 85 K10, for wheeling i prefer the xj, But you couldnt be more right, either of the three or any vehicle no matter the purpose is only as good as the builder and parts used.
I absolutely love this kind of adventure. The quick cut editing style is so enjoyable for me as an impatient person. Just bought a pair of k5 blazers(one is a GMC Jimmy, whatever). Excited to get them going!
Are they seriously talking shit on Ford when in another video their chevy Silverado broke down and had to be towed? And are they seriously confused as to why the Bronco overheated? It had no coolant and no fan shroud. What did they expect? These fools have so much to learn lol.
Andrew Postma indeed, they’re dumbasses, I’d take my stock 79 bronco out there and destroy all they’re shit and drag that Jeep around with a chain as I’m doing it
I love all blazer and broncos. Bronco's are my favorite though. They are what you make them. So many trash the broncos ttb but there is nothing better than a cut and turned ttb and coil overs for high speed offroad. It also works better in hill climbs. Max I would go in a stock ttb dana 44 is 35's. Hell the max I would go in alot of the blazer is 35's most years. They had solid axles in the front but some were crap. I have had both in my 46 years. I currently have a 96' Bronco. For what I do its the best fit for me. I hunt, fish and go 50 mph down washboard roads that my friends in their solid axles can hardly go 15mph down. What I have is not a rock crawler but it gets me where I need to and its alot more fun.
OMG, I'm a Ford guy but damn. Go get a roller motor from a junker, put a cam in, port and polish some gt40p heads off an explorer and ur good. Or throw a 4.9 with an RV cam in.
I love how y’all can dig on that poor bronco I have a 85 with the 351w and it runs extremely reliable that bronco probably has 150,000 miles on it and the trans is also probably shot
My bronco had 280k on it when I sold it. Daily driven and wheeled every weekend. No fucking excuse to have your truck run like a complete pile of shit. Don’t get a ford if you can’t do basic maintenance or if you don’t want to fix it with real parts. That k5 owner knows how to take care of is his truck. This ain’t chevy vs ford, this is two different styles of ownership. My bronco would have walked all of your trucks.
I think he tried to put it 4 lo in gear on the bronco?? That thing wasn’t even running on all 8! That blazer was mint and that poor bronco was running good enough to get k to a trailer and towed to a shop so someone can make it run and drive right and maybe even get a driver who knows how the fuck a transfer case works. Bring that Grat Value bronco over here and wheel with My Bronco and then we will talk
I think GMC supports its old stuff better than Ford does. Parts are cheaper and more readily available. And Ford doesn’t stick with any one thing. The 1st gen Bronco’s were tailored to combat the Jeep. The 2nd gen Bronco’s were tailored to combat the Blazer. Those parts are not interchangeable..... Now they have resurrected the Bronco and we are back to combating the Jeep. Meanwhile? The Jeep never went anywhere. I was born with a blue oval stamped on my ass. But I’m older and wiser now. I drive what makes sense. Ford did some great things and some not so great things. A LS motor is a V8 Y block. Yanno who invented both? Ford. So why doesn’t Ford still build a V8 Y block!? Good question! Very frustrating!
@@masonjustus4938 Well first off the Bronco 2, and the Ranger of that year share body panels, not the full sized. Secondly I'm pretty sure they are referring to my Ranger that is in other videos, which is a 99 ranger.
Everytime we went in the woods K5’s K -10’s Bronco F250’s and rangers the chevy always saved the Fords or Jeeps saved the day. My friend failed with a 85 Bronco 351 bad broke down every time! Then he got a Bronco 79’ 400 big block died also! Steering wheel even broke off in woods! The Ranger lost tranny and a 86’ K 10 pulled it the rest of the way!
A-Team Off-Road . A hard life will do that. I got 2. 1 all stock 200,000 miles and still strong, other is full Mudd truck, 400 HP, granny 4 speed, 36's. Mopar or no car.
I live out in Marietta. I got a 77’ K5. I’ll challenge your 80’s lol. Fucker ain’t been driven more then 5 miles since I bought it 4 years ago. Still building the bitch lol. Beautiful rig by the way!
Lol shiiiit my bronco still kickn lol built the rear into a sleeper, made it from the gulf to North Dakota. Border to border that thing never left me stranded. Needs a new motor and trans but it still kickn
I’m just gonna defend all the other broncos out there. Chevy guys will see this video and call ford shit. Not all broncos are like this. That thing is a pile.
The guy with the Ford should work on it before taking it off roading I had a bronco that year and I loved it it ran like a top but that thing was shit send it to the junk yard and buy a Jeep but don't let him work on it because I think he maybe be the problem
