Thank you for FINALLY evaluating a Rogue. This style is pure COACH. It’s a “IF you know, then you know”. Yes, buying a Rogue at 50-60% off is worth it. That kind of sale is becoming rare nowadays.
Thank you!! I absolutely LOVE coach. As someone who has luxtury brand bags, coach will always, always be my favorite affordable designer bag. The quality will hold up for years.
My Mom loved Coach bags, so when I met my wife I got her one for her birthday. 32 years later and it still looks great. It’s definitely her favorite brand, and she has a nice size collection of them.
Please please please do the Dooney and Bourke Florentine satchel. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I know I am not the only one who would love to see you deconstruct that bag and give your opinion.
I got a COACH belt for $7 at a local thrift store and I am very happy with it. The leather quality and minimal finish doesn’t reflect how often I use it.
Coach hits the sweet spot for me. Great service with no drama, you can purchase what you please. Quality and design are great and aftercare is superb. And they’re charging fair prices. I’ll always love my halo brand bags, but I’m not adding more to my collection.
Just this weekend, I pulled out a dust bag from the top shelf of my closet. I was looking for an old Joan & David tapestry and leather bag and found it was tucked inside a navy blue leather zip tote Coach my husband bought me as forever ago as the J&D! It has been in that dust bag for over a year now so it felt like an unboxing of something new. It is in impeccable condition after 30 years.
If I had to choose only one bag for my lifetime, it will definitely be a coach bag. Specifically their all leather heritage designs. Those things will definitely hold up for a lifetime.
I have used several of your videos to help people understand that the brand is (at times) more expensive than the quality should be. I really appreciate all your work and reviews!
I have a 20 year old Coach bag that I took overseas and abused but it survived marvelously! I still use it every Spring. It carries a water bottle with ease as well as everything else one could want in style. LOVE my Coach bags!
Coach has recently become my favorite purse! I can’t stop buying them. I would absolutely love to go to the store in New York and customize my own purse 👜
that is a gorgeous bag. the hardware on the rogue is very substantial & durable. i’m a bit disappointed though with the fake leather patch. but at 50% off retail that’s a good deal for this bag. i have the rogue 25 in burnished amber with elephant motif & the interior lining is suede, not lambskin. i’d love to do a customization next with lambskin interior!
I have the exact same bag - when it arrived, the whole thing was the same colour as the bottom of yours and after spending some time in direct light, it looks exactly like yours! I was a bit disappointed it faded so quickly but I am enjoying how it changes as I use it. edit to add: I am confident it was fading, as I noticed that it was yellow where it was hidden from the light where the hangtag sits and lighter around it
I carried Coach bags until they left NYC. The Rouge, a small one, is the first one I would consider buying in many years. The vintage Coach bags last forever. Appreciated your evaluation of the Rouge.
👍 Also you can customize their citysole sneakers with all type of materials, patterns and colors. All customizations are available online and in their retail stores, not only in the signature store. Coach is the best for leather lovers. I’m addicted for this brand for like 15 years already. Love their vintage and new stuff
The yellowing is where the lights in the store have hit it. Even just the heat from their lighting causes the sensitive leather to change colors. The finish is natural organic wax to try and waterproof it. The bag comes with literature to explain it all. I get a feeling they forgot to include that as it probably got lost in customers handling it since this is an older style bag.
@colorguardrifleman - I'm sure it's just me being slow but if the yellowing is from store lighting, why did it yellow only where the leather was not exposed to lighting? The bottom of the bag and the removable straps stored inside of the bag?
I would be curious to see what you think of Tory Butch. Please, disregard this comment if you have already made a review of it. Thank you for your work. Very helpful
Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
If you could please, please do Bvlgari serpenti bag?!? The plate thier hardware and would love to know about thier leather. They only do smooth calfskin and exotics skins.
@tanner.leatherstein i have two of thier bags and the quality *feels* much better than other luxury brand bags i have. The hardware is like jewlery! On the preloved market, they are much more affordable vs the boutique/website. I purchased mine online directly from Bvlgari. Dying to know your opinion!!
I love your videos. I learn too much from you. thanks for great videos. I makes bags as hobby, just to learn working with leather and killing my extra time. because I've already a full time job in a company, but I use leather as my passion and enjoy of my free time.
I love Coach, the color migration on this one is really weird 😤 I wouldn’t be too happy about that. I’m surprised that they sold that one, even at 50% off. I’ll take the old Coach bags any day. One great thing that you mentioned is the hardware…it’s still really nice to this day.
I also heard that Coach bags bought from outlet stores are definitely different from those in normal stores. They say Coach bags in iutlet stores are made for outlet stores, meaning lower quality.
@madz_grace03 - while I've heard this is often the case with outlet store merchandise, I've also heard that the difference isn't necessarily quality. Instead things such as less or no detail, cloth or no lining vs leather lining, unremovable or unadjustable straps, fewer or no interior pockets, no feet, etc...
This is absolutely true! I went to a Coach outlet in Niagara Falls, Canada. I was amazed by the prices, but bags seemed to be "different" from those in the U.S. Salesperson told me they were genuine Coach bags but were made exclusively for outlet stores. Thus, the lower quality and price point.
I bought a dusty blue Coach bag a number of years ago that I loved for its doctor-bag shape, but the lightish-blue colour wore off on the handles, the bottom, and on corners till I didn't really like to carry it anymore and didn't know what to do with it. Annoying, because apart from colour being missing, it was in perfect shape.
Thank you so much. This is very informative. I own designer purses but I always have liked coach purses. Can you please do Coach Willis Top Handle Crossbody? Thank you.
Thanks for the video!! I love coach bags and would love to know more about their pebble leather (e.g. the very popular Cassie 19, cary crossbody bags etc) looks like they are different. Hope you would consider to do a video one day
Tanner Leatherstien amazing video! ooh la la thats a brilliant coach bag! i always did adore coach for all the mass luxury haters out there coach is luxury, mass luxury mind you. ❤❤❤
I had some transfer from the fabric inside of one bag (that was dark red) onto a Coach card holder (the canvas that rubbed on the fabric turned red-ish and I couldn't remove the color so far, I don't know how to get rid of the tint transfer). It only happened once but now I'm wary of that specific, very tinted fabric that they often put inside their bags and try to avoid it. Love Coach bags though and I'm very happy of their quality, I have a lot of them.
I owned 5 bags in the past and 3 wallets. When they changed over to their new registers and said my husband's gift card he gave me wouldn't work 9 years ago. And my $425 beige stand up had the plastic seam covering peeling off. I never bought another
Someone commented on a video that Coach is a psuedo luxury brand similar to Micheal Kors. I would agree if you're buying a "Coach" from with Cs all over it from your local TJ Max. The best handbags from Coach or any other luxury brand don't have their logos all over then. Those are for the masses. If you truly want to look the part, get a bag with simple branding. Let the bag speak for itself. If you know, you know.
I was never into brand names for over 30 years especially because of prices but somehow I got addicted to the the rogue 25. I kind of want the rogue 30 and the 20 But I guess time will tell if I get another one during the semi annual sale
I have a Coach cloth carriage print bag that I adore. I've only used it a few times and kept it in it's dust bag the rest of the time. The leather handles also have some weird demarcation on them and it's so upsetting. Totally ruins the bag for me.
I took a look at your website PEGAI and I'm really interested in the Sharon tote but I'm wondering if my 13in laptop with a laptop sleeve will fit. The laptop sleeve is 17.25 D x 14 H x 10 W. Could you please let me know? :)
Nope. Coach has terrible customer service. I ordered a Morgan Top Handle Satchel in black croc and gold hardware, and they took over a week to process it, only for them to cancel it because apparently it was "so popular it sold out." And yet, the item is still on the website as I write this, at a much higher price than I bought it for. You do not lie to me. Take your money to Aspinal of London instead, it only took a few days for me to receive it, and it's so much more worth your extra couple hundred bucks.
Coach went Super Woke for the entire month of June. So, no. I don't want my money going towards marketing that goes out of their way to push an agenda 👎 Nice product and review though
Thank you 🙌🏼 I’m happy to know I’m not alone. I used to love Coach but not any more. So sick of any company/brand shoving their woke agenda on their customers’ throat
Then it’s clear that Coach doesn’t target you as their demographic consumer. As with most fashion especially luxury brands, the LGBTQ+ presence is inevitably huge, starting off with the designers and artisans at many levels in creating products for their brand.
@@artdelac There's a difference between virtue signaling and target demographic. That audience is not their volume buyer. The large majority are heterosexual women, but women are more agreeable and less likely to push back even if they don't agree
@@Striker50_ That’s generally true about women. But what’s there to push back when equality for all is a good thing? I guess it all depends how one was raised and views the world. Coach’s creative director, is openly gay and has a beautiful family. Although I was brought up very conservatively Catholic, the whole family today no longer takes a self-righteous, religious stance but embraces fairness and equality. Let it be known that I appreciate Tanner’s post because I’ve always loved Coach’s leather quality. Peace ✌️
The coach website is restricted for certain countries (Philippines, West Africa, etc..). I guess those who aren't deemed good enough to be bestowed their bags. You wouldn't want the wrong kind of people to be wearing your semi-luxurious bag, would you. Instead what they make available to us, third world, is their outlet web store. No, thank you.
