I believe concerts tickets are more straightforward than betting on some teams doing well.

Hi if the transfer option for ticketmaster doesn't become available for an event and say you sell 6 tickets to 3 different buyers- how do you get around this if there's a revolving barcode.

You sell your ticket as a delivery delayed ticket, and transfer the ticket 3 days before the event. This is common for about 10% of events. These kinds of events does mean you do not get your payment until the time of the event. We generally recommend new brokers avoid delayed events.

Is this type of business subject to inflation, lack of discretionary income, etc., like other types of businesses are? Just thinking out load, I know that most people I know would do without food to buy that ticket to see someone they really want to see pretty bad. I guess what I am asking is, given the somewhat lackluster economy we have now, is this still a good way to make money? Has there been a corresponding decline in concert and sports events sales with the increase in general living expenses?

There can definitely be slow down periods, especially at certain times of the year but overall this market is growing quickly and the industry as a whole is steady. Covid was the biggest downturn ever, but the recovery has already reached new peaks in sales volume.

Thanks for the info. I’ve found some playoff tix on a resell platform. They are already priced substantially higher than regular season for the same seats. Given the popularity of the team and that the games are still over a month away, any chance in still making a little profit? Seat price regular season, 3 weeks out in same section 42.00 Playoff tix price: 449.00
