I absolutely love my 300t . Personally very happy with the price . We are talking price close to oris aquis considerably cheaper than a tag aqua racer .. I actually prefer my 300t to most of my much more expensive pieces it has a character that most dive watches just can’t match

Great vid, I have a few 300Ts, one from the early 70s, one from the early 2000s and one from 2019, all superb tool watches, with great history, a must have for any dive watch collectors.

That’s weird that the unidirectional bezel rotates clockwise on the 4000T 🤔My understanding was that diving bezels are unidirectional counterclockwise to avoid accidentally adding extra time in a diving situation. Awesome video, many thanks for sharing ! I’ve just subscribed!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone and tried to rotate it the conventional way. Doxa makes really odd and quirky design choices. But there is one thing I’ll admit, these watches ooze personality! Thanks for watching and glad to have you around!

I have the Doxa Sub 4000T (professional, sapphire bezel), it's normal, only rotates counterclockwise. Something wrong with the one in the video here.

I have a Sub 300T professional and I love it, overpriced for sure as you said but I always wanted one so hey, happy to pay the price for something unique and interesting! Personally never really understood the 4000T but each to their own. Great video!

The 4000T is such an oddball watch, overbuilt but with the same WR rating as the sub 300, I think it’s a statement piece for Doxa

Just curious how is it overpriced? Top level 2824 great history great bracelet. For instance tudor offers the same movement in their bb36 for 2950

So many misconceptions... Helium escape valve has nothing to do with water resistance and depth rating. Orange is NOT the most visible colour in deep waters. The best is the one with best contrast- black dial and white markers. In low ligh condition colours are hardly diferenciable. The orange colour happens to be the most visible in muddy waters in which the prototypes were tested. The bezel has a NO decompression scale , not A decompression scale.

I think you would like the new Sub 600t Pacific in Titanium and it’s smaller at 40mm. The price is the same as the Sub 300t but so far they have only done a limited edition run of 200 but perhaps they will produce more in the future. I compared the Sub 300t and Sub 600t and both are great watches.

I’m really keen to have a look at those 600T. They seem to hit the mark for the proportions and seem to be quite reasonable. I’ll have to work on getting one in!

If i get a 300, i plan on getting some brushed work done on that polished bezel. It ruins the otherwise great looking dive/tool watch.

Great video. I got the Sub 200 professional, and am feeling like upgrading to the 300 or 300T. The 200 is great, but I think the 300 is Doxa's definitive design. What size is your wrist, if I can ask?

this was my question too. see above the response from the reviewer. the bezel has a special push to turn, so cannot be accidentally moved. therefore the anticlockwise direction is not needed.

I got myself the sub 300 t sea rambler. Though I think it’s overpriced it is still a very impressive and incredibly well built watch. the dial is finished beautifully on the sea rambler. Overall it’s perhaps not to the standards of say a Rolex or an omega, the beads of rice bracelet could be built better, the bezel has a tiny bit of wiggle, the loom is kind of week (etc), but it’s a fifth of the price of a Rolex and a third of an omega. So yes it’s overpriced, but so is virtually every watch. I wear it every day and I can’t get enough of it.

If you want a true bang for buck, utilitarian dive watch go for a seiko. But that’s not really why you buy a doxa. It is a functional and very capable dive watch but the reason most of us like them is just because they’re fascinating.

Agree with you but I think the imperfections give it a vintage feel. The Omega or the Tudor Pelagos are better watches but the Doxa gives you the sense of wearing a piece of history. The cushion case and beads-of-rice bracelet are iconic, in the same way the Rolex Sub's Oyster case and bracelet are.

How would you say the Longines Hydroconquest is in comparison to the Doxa? I mean in terms of finishing, lume quality, movement accuracy etc. (obv the Doxa is better for actual diving, but who does that).

I bought an aqua terra a few months ago, but I wanted a new watch that has a bit more character as a diver. I like the 300 and 200, but I'm not sure which one I should get.

If you are wanting character i think the 300 has that in spades and it has a very loyal following that thinks so too. It also ages really well

This is a watch where parts are made all over the world including China The only reason it's caused swiss is bullshit laws letting them call it Swiss I think it's worth mentioning this as for the price u expect to get a Swiss made watch

If it's unidirectional bezel rotates CW the watch can't be considered as a serious diver's watch. Such a mistake! Isn't it possible that the mistake was done accidentaly just for this piece or modded later after purchase? "Experienced DOXA owner = LOL". Thanks for the video.

I’ve never seen a clockwise turning bezel. Is it unique to Doxa?

Great question. This is the first i've come across in this pricepoint- I dont believe it is exclusive to Doxa however- Doxa did this because the bezel has to be pushed down to be turned. Historically bezels turned CCW for the diver's safety so they don't get bumped out of place. But with the push down lock of the Doxa- this mitigates that problem.

@@perpetuality this was my question too.... thank you! .... still in this case I would have reversed the direction of the "jigsaw" finishing at the edge of the bezel. just to match the bezel rotation thank you for the excellent review!
