Are Ed players ok? 

Being one of the highest rated Ed's in the world. With over 10k ranked matches. I can say this character has mentally crippled me. No, we're not okay...

As a low level player, no, Eds are not okay. Recently fought a Gold Ed who would always, ALWAYS, EX DP if he had a bar and was knocked down. I'm not sure what game he's playing but it didn't end well for him

The fungus is called 木耳 (mù ěr) in Chinese or "wood ear" in English. It's a fungus with mouthfeel akin to a slice of undried seaweed or thin, firm jelly (the best way I could describe it). It's often put in stirfries and soups either as a supplement to the dish or as a replacement for the meat of the dish. Unlike other vegetables that grow increasingly softer as they're cooked, wood ear keeps firm even after being cooked. This makes it great for mouthfeel, since its flavor isn't really overbearing at all. Personally, I think they're awesome in soups. My mom used to use it all the time in pork rib daikon soup. That fungus is a popular ingredient to use in Chinese cuisine, in China it's call "wood ear" "black wood ear" they grow on trees, it taste pretty bland, definitely not mushroomy but has a crunchy texture.

As an Ed player: Nah, not okay. We play Ed because we hate ourselves. Why else would we play Ed? We are basically Ken dropouts that find DP motions too hard but still move going for the invincible reversal every time anyway. Then sometimes we make it all the way to Diamond because Ed's moves was seemingly shaped to work with SFV's bad net code.

Ed is one of the least cool characters in street fighter, his theme is good though
