No matter if you are in or out of debt, inflation and high gas prices lead to less buying power. Dave needs to acknowledge that at his level of wealth, there is less of a bite. If you are out of debt but make $50K a year, this hurts.

Grow your own, establish connections with local farmers and dairies, work hard to figure out what your family needs to survive and make sure you have what you need with the resources available to you. For some, that is moving out of the city and growing/raising your own food. For others that means putting back extra food/water/ establishing rapport with your country friends and family and setting up a bartering system.

Here we are in the 2020's with 'almost' the same type of scenario. When I say almost, back then, we had 1 1/2 - 2 hours of TV news per day. Now it's 24/7 with hundreds of different outlets and everyone saying something different. It's no wonder the people of today think that this is the end all.

I love some Dave! Just remember when people get scared they will consume less and a lot of opportunity will be created in stocks. Also as rates on loans increase opportunity in other sectors are created. Emergency funds are great! I lost my job in 2020 and me and my wife did just fine, thanks Dave! Don’t be scared to be the 5th pig and look for opportunity, it is all around I promise.

Maybe Rachel doesn’t know what it means to not have an emergency fund. Even a little noise on the car freaks you out when you’re not prepared.

Yeah, I’m with Rachel on this. I may have the money, doesn’t mean I want $10 gas! 😂

Dave said the same, but Dave is right. If you had debt the anxiety will be 100x higher.
