You'd be better off taking your time to be a veterinarian with the least cost and debt possible than rush and graduate with hundreds of thousands of college loan debt.
don't be friends with her if it bothers you, but otherwise mind your own business. turning her in is not going to make your life easier because of jealousy
This is what I hate about the ramsey team sometimes. If a man called in and said exactly what she just said but about his wife, he would’ve been absolutely scolded. Especially with Delony, if you go and watch similar videos with the man calling in and talking about his wife and the women calling in talking about her husband, it’s almost always the man fault in some way shape or form no matter what.
The privilege mentality!!! I don’t have to work while I go to school oh and I want the peasant slaves to pay off my student loans oh and I wanna go on 5 vacations a year
These universities are crazy with what they charge. $400k to be a vet is crazy, if things dont change and people wise up, a lot of careers are gonna in major shortages if students decide to opt out of paying that much money
We NEED veterinarians same as we NEED doctors, etc. So forget the student loan debt for a second, why don't people try and figure out how to become a veterinarian or doctor on the least cost possible. It sounds like most people throw caution to the wind and totally ignore how to keep the cost of education as low as it can be.
He's calling into a live show; he ownes his home, he's worried about the housing market, wonders if he should sell his home. 🤔 It doesn't matter how smart you're, unless you stop and think~Thomas Sowell
Dave’s steps helped us get to where we are today. The power of focus is real. While we were in steps 1-3, we still got our company matches and still got out of debt. The free money plus compounding is too powerful to leave on the table. Looking back on the process I’m glad we made the choice to continue with getting the matches. Had we stopped investing as Dave says to do we would have only shortened steps 1-3b by 6-8 months but would have lost out on 3 ish years of compounding in our 20s, which precisely the time when compounding is most powerful. Personal finance is personal and nuanced. Do your math. Learn all you can. Winning with money is possible. Be patient and work hard. You got this.
Jade, do you have any idea how difficult it is to get into vet school? You make it sound like the caller can just go sign up at any vet school. It just doesn't work that way.
Vet school tuition is about 35-55k per year. That's tuition alone. Add to that, living expenses. Caller might be able to work and earn enough to cover tuition in cash, but she will not be able to cover living expenses. She will still need some financial assistance.
When it comes to a student loan they’ll make sure everybody can get that. But when you apply for car loan or buying a house they’ll make sure you have a secure income , good credit score and so on !!!! Therefore never ever get a student loan , scam , scam , damn scam
This video recommendation was perfect timing. My 6 year old was whining about practicing piano because it was too hard. Had to explain context and what real challenge is.
People working blues collar jobs 60 hours at week pay their taxes and suffer inflation devastating effects so entitled white collar brats dont have to pay for their debts and vote for Biden, what is happening on the USA nowdays is obscene.
Oh well I just live off of debt and I just take more debt and then I'm hoping someone just pays off my debt but school is wonderful. Feel bad for me. I'll take care of kittens
I spend 5-10k per month on my business, I get 5-7% cash back on my credit cards. I typically pay my rent every other month solely on cash back so I think I'll keep doing that because it's pure profit that I still get to write off
You can be whatever you want at any cost. -Every overpriced U.S. university. A few years later after student wakes up..."but my situation is special and unique"
She actually Didn't because veterinarians make enough money for her to pay back this money? The problem is medical school and any type causeway too much
Man is anyone going to talk about how this is becoming HARDER and harder as first time home buyers.... I mean Ramsey hasn't sworn off mortgages that I know of but even a cracked window the owner isn't willing to replace can keep you from qualifying. This is so much more achievable when your first home can be an as is purchase and then your 2nd home is your forever home... once you've already built equity and can AFFORD the forever home 😢
In a seller's market...less people are willing to go through extra steps of you paying them to replace the window ECT when 10 other buyers are lined up ready to pay cash- don't even try comments section!
I’m sorry but Dave doesn’t get to define the service industry. Especially not when he is using an extremely broad term. If he wanted a leg to stand on he would have said the hospitality industry, a subset of the service industry specific to food and lodging
I have a cousin whose 9 year marriage was ruined by his in-laws lack of boundaries. He is an Occupational Therapist and she was a stay at home mom with 3 kids. The in-laws built a pretty successful general contracting business and liked to spread the wealth with all of their children giving out money, buy expensive gufts, paying for vacations, etc... My cousin and his wife were building their own lives together, but the in-laws saw their daughter as "their daughter" and not "the wife of their son in law." My cousin spoke to his father in law and asked him man to man to tune it down as its causing a rift in his marriage. He didn't see it that way as we're all family, I can afford to do this, she's my daughter so it's OK. My cousins wife say it the same way. Resentment set in between my cousin and his wife, because she would side with her parents and not her husband and he wasn't being respected by wife. She felt like her parents money was her money too. My cousin started excluding himself from the excessive family get togethers, vacations and would not accept anything from the in-laws. She asked my cousin to move out, they ended up separating 2 years ago, did some couples counseling to no avail and divorced a year ago. The ex in-laws felt horrible after the fact, realizing the affect they had on their marriage. Ex father in-law spoke to my cousin and told him how ashamed he felt about what he had done to their marriage and pleaded with him to mend the relationship with his daughter and he will respect their boundaries. This was after the divorce was finalized. He told him no, you should've respected my families boundaries when I needed you to. All peoples involved are pretty unhappy rite now. Cousin rebuilding as a joint custody single father, ex wife struggling not wanting to work full time after being a home maker for about a decade, kids torn apart and the in-laws still successful in business, but failing in family.
Whatever. I’m sure that there’s some of these calls that are planted. This has that feel. Why would he call if his accountant is suggesting he lease? If I’m paying for an accountant, I’m going to take his advice. And to all those hardcore disciples of Dave…believe it or not, Dave’s way is great for poor people with no self discipline. But for those more financially sophisticated, debt is a tool that can actually make you money, either through arbitrage or expense reduction (as in this case).
I promise you it is a service. Justice because it’s on the cheap end and you don’t respect it, doesn’t mean you’re not being provided a service. If you think it’s not a service, then don’t go there. That being said, as someone who works a drive thru window, I don’t expect tips. But I do have a few regulars who tip regularly, it’s never expected but they always get free drinks with their orders and I make sure to tell my friends on line to be heavy handed when making their food
