When filling up does the water turn on and off and on and off? I have an LG front loading washing machine and it turn the water on and off shaking, rattling, knocking my pipes like crazy. I even put water shocks on the water lines and it doesn't help. I'm hoping that this washing machine has a constant flow of water while filling up.
Just bought the 650 set in this color. Arrived today. The spin cycle does not work in normal, towels, rinse and spin. Works in quick wash and whites only. I am furious. The washer when it reaches 10 to 13 minutes left it just repeats 10 to 13 about 9 times and just shuts off. Clothes are soaked.
Hi Michelle! The pump could be clogged which will automatically lock the machine to ensure it doesn't ruin the machine. Here is a link to the use and care guide on GE front-load washing machines (see page 17) for instructions: avblinq.avbportal.com/assets/products/documents/1239339/a9488520-16a1-4a2d-8642-6560e566d911.pdf Here is a video of how to clean out the pump: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f9uS8_0-pWY.htmlrel=0 Hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please let us know!
@@michelledowner5148 Where did you purchase it from? You might be able to go back to them and see if they can service it if cleaning the pump doesn't work!
@@Donsappliances we all know you need water to bathe rinse, wash out soil from clothes. You are one of those Biden energy efficient people who try to convince us twe don't need water to clean clothes. We aren't buying it now , never will. How do you think ground in stains are moved from the fabric fibers...water and agitation. Ever since China bought GE it went down hill and keeps falling..next your going to tell people don't use water to bathe in, or drink. We aren't 4th world people we know you need water to wash anything in. People in bible times used rivers and wells- they knew you need water to get clean and clean the clothes out.
@@Donsappliances how do you figure you don't need water to have clean clothes? Splain that to me...did your Chinese engineer do the math? He forgot to factor in reality. The energy efficient toilets takes 2-3 more flushed to clear out debris. How is that saving - it isn't. Just like less machine water just spreads soap doesn't remove stains. Back to the old fashioned machines.
Got a GE UltraFresh front load washer as a gift from my daughter, as she was moving. Upon registration, found machine warranty was running out, so we bought the 3 year warranty offered. Then, the machine failed. No power, no display, just a mysterious clicking sound every 10 seconds or so. Called GE and scheduled a service call. Tech checked the machine and replaced the main board and the power supply. No success. Then he ordered a drive board for the next scheduled visit. Next visit, drive board was replaced. No success. Tech then ordered the front control and communication board and scheduled the next visit. Next visit, front control board and communication board was replaced. No success. Tech then deemed the washer unrepairable. Sent the info to GE and Assurant, the extended warranty company. They were supposed to contact me regarding replacing the machine within 24 to 48 hours. Never heard back from them. Contacted GE Customer Relations. Related all of the above info to them. They referred me to Assurant. The matter is still unresolved, my washer is still not functional, and I would recommend that the consumer NEVER BUY A GE APPLIANCE, EVER!
My GE Ultra Fresh started leaking from the door gasket only after 3 months. I would never buy another GE product because of the way they have handled the issue....the tech actually said he could see no problem even though I had video of the leak. He also said he suggests not running the washer when we are not home......come again? Insane.
Hello. Is this an experience you've had with Don's Appliances? We have our own in-house service technicians and would've worked with you to get this situation resolved.
Hello, thank you for the comment! The manufacturing process for appliances has changed, especially in the past 10 years. Hopefully our video helped you in making a purchasing decision!
GE Top load washer a complete piece of crap, do not waste your money!!! Will NEVER BUY GE AGAIN!!! Plastic knobs on the dryer, BREAK Constantly, complete piece of CRAP!!!
Pat, we are sorry you feel that way about GE. Everyone has their own opinions we are just here to provide our review regarding GE Washer & Dryers. Thank you.
@@sheridanstringer2932 No need with the name calling. AFAIK Whirlpool is still U.S. owned but is a global company. Does it bother you because I think the people of my land should come first ?
Yep, built with lots of Chinese parts now, I believe they are owned by Haier. Their HE top loaders work way better. Front loaders have a lot of problems for some reason
