Are Glow and Ice Pikmin EVER coming to Pikmin Bloom? 

Me and my auntie love Pikmin bloom and we still play it a bunch. I really hope they add glowies and icies to the game since it’ll spice up the game a bit. But I don’t really think it’s going to die soon. Niantic is still rolling out new updates and decor sets, and recently they actually expanded how many Pikmin you can have in your max storage, maybe for something coming soon? 👀

I've heard somewhere that Pikmin Bloom actually has more downloads than all of the mainline pikmin games combined. I definitely dont think the game will be dying any time soon, at least.

Funnily enough I've been planning my own video talking about Pikmin Bloom for a couple months, especially regarding the intentions to be casual, inviting, etc, and how much it succeeds in doing so. For Ice Pikmin, I think they'd just be like the other types since they just are a regular type. Probably unlocked after Rocks. For Glow Pikmin, if we DO wanna give them something a little more special than that, but encouraging night walking is perhaps a bad idea, maybe a new mechanic that when it gets late in your area you'd be given the option to send out your Pikmin to a specific location for the night. Unlike most expeditions, the distance doesn't actually matter, your Pikmin just count as "exploring" for a predetermined amount of time, said amount of time having a couple options. For example, maybe one option where they'll be gone for like 8 hours so they'll be back when you wake up, and maybe an even longer option like 12 hours or so in case you're like me and you're busy in the morning. Your Pikmin will return with loot, which can include Glow Pikmin seeds, the chance of which increases when sent out for longer amounts of time.

The amount of active players I see in Pikmin Bloom has been way higher since Pikmin 4 released. I’m sure we will see Glow and Ice Pikmin eventually they’re just slow to update. Also, I don’t see why they couldn’t do ice Pikmin in grocery stores, coffee shops, or athletic stadiums. Any place that would have a freezer would be fine.

I personally believe they will but the game seems slow to add stuff like we didn't get electric mushrooms until last Christmas. I hope they add ice and glow pikmin soon but I can understand why it's taking so long with them having to make decor pikmin for them and all that

Im the only pikmin player in the world who still cares about pikmin bloom now anyways 😭 ( Also i think the glows will have a one spot in the online world where a luminal will be placed and only appears during 6:00 (Central) And it will slowly produce the glow seeds and you can take them out of the thing to put into your Pikmin Pack.

I sure hope they don't make glow pikmin only come out at night... I don't think encouraging a terrible sleep schedule is a good idea for an app meant to encourage healthy exercise. 😅

I don't know when this video was written, but not too long ago they added snow weather decor pikmin, on top of the already existing mitten and holiday sticker pikmin. I don't think the issue is the inclement weather for walking as it's already equally encouraged by those things. I think the issue is more mechanical. In one way or another, the vast majority of pikmin abilities are reflected in the game. Purple have extra carry strength, winged and white pikmin are fast, the elemental shrooms cover the rest of the other pikmin's main abilities, but for ice pikmin: what do you do? Let them freeze water mushrooms? To what end? That and not being able to walk with your glow pikmin during the day, if they're continuing their mechanical accuracy. Whatever Niantic decides, it has to be allowed by nintendo, too. I doubt niantic is giving up on the game. There seem to be a lot of regular events and updates. I think they learned about the pikmin at the same time we did, so Nintendo could avoid legitimate leaks. From there the mechanical complexities of the ice and glow pikmin may have just been slow. Especially if Niantic can't justify getting more people to work on a relatively niche product where the current team is working on implementing things like the events. I expect them to come to the game. I don't know when. Whether they're ready or not, I think it will be saved for some big event, like an annivesary, or the anniversary of pikmin 4's release.

i would love to see more pikmin types in bloom. One idea for the glow pikmin i have is that there is a night mode that you can switch on. When you have it on, you can find special night items and such. But the main thing is that it would be the only place to find glow pikmin seeds. (outside of rewards for something) In the night mode you could grow the glow pikmin faster than the normal mode. It would be fun if they added enemies that spawn on the map that you could attack. Its like attacking a mushroom but instead of waiting you would instead throw your pikmin on the enemy and be able to call them back if needed. (if the pikmin loses all hp they would not be dead, just you would not be able to use them for a set timer.) Anyways, thanks for the video! It was one of the best videos i have seen in a while!

They could also do updates where when the ice and glow are released they are in 12 sets but updates role out over time putting them in other sets

They need to add the ice Pikmin and Glow Pikmin Soon. If it takes us to campaign it, then we will campaign it.

I thinkk because they need to work on them for a long time as they need to add all the decor for them so they will probably add them during pikmin 5

i think the idea of sending pikmin bloom fans (possibly children) out onto the streets at nighttime would be hilarious but ultimately a horrible idea lol

Bloom really helps me get out of the house more when I’m having bad weeks (mental health yaaay) but I know eventually I’ll get most of the Pikmin decor and the incentive to play will vanish 😭 ice and glow Pikmin would greatly increase this games lifespan. Nintendo please!!!

Bad Bloom idea: the game loads “caves” on your hub that if you go exploring, you can fight a Bulbmin mother, after successfully, defeating it. you are rewarded with a Bulbmin seed.

If Nintendo is planning to add DLC to Pikmin 4, maybe they'll wait until then so they can double the hype idk

I really enjoy pikmin bloom. I think theyll probably add ice and glow pikmin eventually. But it will probably be a while since they still have regular updates to put out.

Haven’t watched the video to the end yet but in the decor collection extra slots can be found for the flower card decor which could be accounted for with a new type of Pikmin like ice or glow (48 flower cards, with 6 card variations per type, with there being 7 types currently, ice could be the 8th)

Maybe what they can do is if it’s liek pokemon go they could have ice Pikmin found in places like lakes so u can AR ice in the water haha. Glow Pikmin seeds could be found but they could have liek a mini game or something g to do at home at night while idk to encourage stretching? Or night time workouts and theh are like timers so at least ur in ur home safe and side and of course have a disclaimer to be cautious about walking at night with them but they are interactable in the dark but at home lol idk

Next stream speedrunning Pikmin bloom?

I actually just started playing Bloom recently, I live in Canada so it's always dark and cold which would be great for us

I wanted to like bloom but two big problems for me 1 it sucks the soul out of my phones battery usually killing it from a full charge on my usual walks and 2 it’s too cold to play where I live

I think the reason some people aren't playing Pikmin Bloom as often is because some people, like me, would much rather focus on one game than multiple. It is usually a lot of pressure otherwise, and doing so also leaves the game in a unhealthy state. With that, it is likely that the state piles up, and the person may not play that game for a long while again. So with that said, even if they add Glow and Ice Pikmin, it doesn't mean a majority of players will come back, and for a good time. However, adding them may actually bring back some because like you said, it can make players explore places they already have. On the other hand, many players likely would be playing a more enjoyable game, like Minecraft or Roblox, as they support friends on the platform.

I'd be quite happy if they added even Bulbmin and Shroomin, but I'm still waiting for Ice and Glow Pikmin too.
