I doubt that people would pay the amount required to fix issues like this. it must take a lot of time to do these kind of repairs to where it'll only really be cost effective for high end gpu repairs. and even then I'd argue that most people would opt to get another gpu instead of using an already repaired card for fear or future issues.
@filipkralj2618
@filipkralj2618 Год назад
reason why all electronics is replaced rather then repaired is simple - new component is cheaper then paying skill electronic worker, probably engineer, to work hours or day on one card this could only be viable if it is simple fault on highest end cards like 3090 or 4090 now
@northwestrepair
@northwestrepair Год назад
@@Mrhorribubble correct. This does not pay well simply because I charge very little. I have to keep this as a hobby until I grow up to Northridge fix level. How ever, he only does 10 minute repairs and that's the only way it will justify his business. I will go broke if I do this full time.

Hey, just found your channel by chance. Who makes the best quality cards in your opinion next to EVGA (doesn´t matter if Nvidia or AMD chip)? I am currently in the process of gathering the funds to build a new PC. I used to like MSI and my current card has worked without problems for the last 3 years, but with more recent information, I might stay away from the brand for a while.
@WineLad
@WineLad Год назад
Based on previous designs I'd say sapphire makes the best board designs. I'd even go so far as to say that they made better designs than evga sometimes. It's a damn shame they don't make nvidia cards, though based on evga's recent statements they seem to have dodged a bullet...

@@WineLad well, I dont like sapphire. They are pretty bad on the "normalised fan loudness" temperature tests compared to other board partners like MSI. So for example at 40db(a), a sapphire runs hotter than some other cards with the same gpu.

Galax (as KFA² in Europe). Hong Kong established, but chips, vram , etc, made in Japan, (from Seiko, Japanese legendary electronics manufactures) unlike Asus that everything is made in china. Asus are notorious for worst and longest customer support too. So, my top picks for gpu's, Galax>MSi>Sapphire>XFX. Not even think about Gigabyte. Worst brand both for gpu/motherboards.
