Here's the second video I promised to release about my denouncement. As I've said so many times and will say a million more, I don't make this videos to offend anyone or make anyone feel bad about something they are apart of or want to be apart of. I'm a lover of perspective and I make these videos to simply share my perspective with those that want to hear it! My intent will never be to judge or condemn anyone :)
My perspective and thoughts are clear about Greek organizations, however, I'm purposefully leaving it up to you and the Holy Spirit to decide what you believe. I believe that God allowed me to go through the process of pledging so that I could talk with the world about my experiences. That's exactly what I aim to do in these videos. I speak generally when speaking of Greek organizations, however, most of my references are directly influenced and related to my own experiences and what the Holy Spirit showed to me once He had my attention.
Key Points in Video:
1. Good vs. God
- just because its good doesn't mean it's God.
2. Founded on Christianity
- what does that actually mean?
- what is the center of the organizations?
- the atmosphere of the organizations
- natures of majority members (Christlike or no?)
3. Rituals and Processings
- pledges, what is said matters
- overall rituals: strange
4. Reaction to Denouncing
- offended for no reason
- more spiritual than we want it to be
As state above, I'm speaking in general terms all throughout the video. I am well aware that not everyone that belongs to Greek organizations party, are mean, or slack in their relationship with God. When I speak of these things, I am speaking about the vast majority of the Greek organizations that I have been exposed to and note in the video when I am directly relating to the organization I was formerly apart of.
Again, my purpose for this video is to provoke thought and start a discussion. So I'm waiting to hear what your opinion, beliefs, and thoughts are about Greek organizations. Don't be shy, I look forward to hearing what your experiences were and what your thoughts are after watching my video!!

Excellent commentary! So refreshing to see so many young, beautiful, intelligent women denouncing these organizations. My city has been a DIVISIVE mess for the past 30 years due to ruthless social climbers claiming "service."

Thank you for being BOLD and sharing this information. Recently denounced AKA after joining undergrad almost 30 years ago and I was a life member and you told no lies. Not a one. AKA’s ritual starts on the beginning pages saying you are about to enter into a spiritual experience… when they tell ppl to do research, instead of researching the founders, they had better research Deuteronomy, Isaiah, Acts, etc where it’s talking about false gods, idols, demons…

I came back for part two, though I disagree with the generalities of this, I appreciate and respect your opinion. I hope and pray you continue to allow God to use you; I do indeed hope these videos help those who may need to disconnect from their respective organizations for their own spiritual well being and/or lead interest to do more research prior to jumping on the "bandwagon". Initially, I admit, I was disgusted, I thought "just move on, don't continue making videos about the thing you left", but He opened my mind and heart. I cannot be upset with someone for being obedient to God if these are truly His orders. We are all entitled to our opinions and thanks to the internet, we can share openly with the masses. Continue to shine!

So many people that are proud members of their orgs jump to conclusions and are closed off before even listening to a moment of the video, which is understandable. As I watched this video, I have noticed that there is more division and discord in these organizations than what is really shown in outside appearance. God is not the author of confusion nor division. Great video!

Okay! Christ includes all, died for all, loves all.....When you research all of this it is from witchcraft and occult practices. You can literally trace this to a pagan god.

MS. ALL that is accurate!! Some people think it’s too deep when you mention the word “witchcraft” but the trend in Greek orgs is very similar when you compare the two with the way rituals, meeting, etc are conducted.

I had planned on pledging in college but God honestly blocked it for me. I’m grateful for that now of course. But I remember my friends being like “oh I just said it... I don’t mean it... God knows my heart...” and God clearly revealed to me that if “your heart” wants to, you will. And if “your heart” doesn’t want to, you won’t. You addressed it in your first video about your heart already being committed. But we take things lightly that we shouldn’t and that’s really a trick of the enemy. God “knowing” your heart means that if he convicted you and you still ignored it with the “intention of doing right”, you’re still disobedient. You can “not mean it” all day but regardless, it’s still from your heart if it comes from your mouth. Matthew 15:18. There’s a reason you have to express it outwardly and not just try to feel it silently. I commend you for making these. Especially still being in college! God bless you ❤️

You are so right about the Holy Spirit getting your attention and convicting you. I started the pledge process, but was stopped dead in my tracks by the Holy Spirit. I had this feeling that if I proceeded, something really bad was going to happen to me. I am so Thankful that I was obedient to the Holy Spirit! Keep telling the truth!

I am a proud member of an organization within the Divine Nine. I also have an active and deeply rooted relationship with Christ. Although I love that you’re raw and speaking on your experiences, it is very important that you emphasize that it is YOUR EXPERIENCE and use “I” instead of “We”. The one thing I would not want to come from this is the bashing of organizations that combated oppressive nature’s in order to stand in these letters today. I strongly believe that God should shine through you, as another individual stated before maybe your calling was to break and bind those negative aspects within your chapter. Being in our word, being in relationship with God, and actively feeding our spirit should create the armory we need to combat many ideas you discussed. I know that LOVE is God and spreading love is a simple way to bring people to Christ. It is also important to know it is a choice to not do your work within ministry or serve as an evangelist at the same level you serve as a new member recruit. I don’t know whether to like or dislike because some of the aspects of this video are not valid. There are bad apples everywhere, bad apples in church and bad apples in organizations as you say. For this same reason people leave the church, becoming so yolked to people in the church that when they hurt you or treat you negatively, they walk away from their relationship with Christ. It truly saddens me because for our job in itself is to show love and also equip ourselves for the war on Christ. It is all love for you and your personal convictions because God works differently within each individual. Before I go , remember to say “I” and refer to your own experience in Alpha Kappa Alpha. It saddens me to see people quickly jumping on your bandwagon based off a video you’ve created and paired with no experience. People enjoy negativity and although you’re not being negative in a sense , the content can be perceived that way. There is no highlight of anything positive in your time as a member or discussion about the history in why the Divine Nine was even created.

God Bless you! I denounced my letters and it was one of the best decisions I ever made! I battled with this decision for years. As I grew closer to Christ, the conviction became stronger. I hear people say all the time that BGLO are founded on Christian principles. I began to test this and it really bothered me that the ritual book had no mention of Christ. In addition, there were scriptures that were misquoted. The Word of God says don't add nor take away from the scriptures. That's when I said "Enough is enough."

That's the best person to listen to the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth in him there isn no error. Rituals are for gods, but God is about relationship. It's not what goes into man that defile a man but what comes out that defile a man so stating an oath not for Christ that will defile you.

I just copied and pasted this from a post I just posted on this thread (lol). I battled with this decision for years. As I grew closer to Christ, the conviction became stronger. I hear people say all the time that BGLO are founded on Christian principles. I began to test this and it really bothered me that the ritual book had no mention of Christ. In addition, there were scriptures that were misquoted. The Word of God says don't add nor take away from the scriptures. That's when I said "Enough is enough." I would like to add another thing that really bothered me. Many people pledging BGLOs underground (particularly in undergrad) go to what is called a "set." If you look up Set, he is the Egyptian god of chaos, confusion and disorder. He ruled the red land, known in Greek life as the burning sands. If you did not go through this process (being made by Set/ underground/ hazing), you are frowned upon and called paper. Don't just take my word for it though...google Set Egyptian god

Saw your denouncement video. Very moving. There is a difference in how 'non-black' sororities function versus the PanHellenic sororities. If you noticed the spellings are the same PanHellenic/Panhellenic. The "H" is capitalized for the black Greek organizations. Not sure why, but it should raise a flag. There are sororities out there that are faith based, it just may not 'black' only. The sororities that I am aware of on the Panhellenic side, to include my own, have God included in meetings. My particular sorority was founded on Christian principles. I loved my initiation and the connection I got. I felt closer to God. My feelings may not be as someone else's. Your power comes from within and given to you by GOD.

You're one 1⃣ of my soul mates. Because that is what I'm all about. Getting people to really think 🤔. And motivation them to check the scriptures to either prove me to be wrong or right 👉. Either way, God's word gets 📖 read 📖 or studied by them. And I like finding soul mates. Because we can assist each other. That is exactly what the members of the body of Christ is designed to do. We are different members of one 1⃣ body. Just as the hands 👐 help to feet to get clean. The feet help the hands 👐 to get from one 1⃣ place to another. When you witness to someone. They may not hear you at the time ⌚ that you are witnessing unto them. But they may hear you day's, weeks,months,or years later. So you just be faithful and plant the seeds that God has given you to plant. It's Jehovah's responsibility to cause it to grow or not. That's exactly what I've been doing with respect to Mark Zuckerberg and all of you guys. And you guys think 🤔 that I don't work.

I heard that each greek sorority or fraternity is associated to a greek god or demi-god. AKA is associated with Atlas. So when you elevate this organization you automatically elevate the false god Atlas which was part of greek polytheistic beliefs. And God says "you wont have no other god before me". This is probably why you felt bad while pledging. And in the bible those gods are associated with fallen angels.You took the right decision to leave. God bless you

You’re an awesome young lady of God. You are going to great things for the body of Christ and help bring a lot of people to Jesus. Keep lifting him up. I don’t agree with your opinion or views because you are your basing it on your personal experience and a small sample but i applaud you for your courage and your obedience to the Holy Spirit. A lot of what your saying is true , about being unequally yoked and removing yourselves from people and situations that aren’t of God, but to generalize it with Greek Organizations is where we disagree. What your saying could be said about a lot Organizations and groups and college life and churches and friends. But again we can agree to disagree and I respect your opinion. I pledged in 1999 and times have changed . This is coming from a a 38 year old Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and 20 year member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

ReggieBoi37 thanks for sharing your perspective, I really appreciate it! And thanks for watching considering you’re Greek, means and says a lot. I totally agree that the information I shared can be for so many other organizations outside of Greek organizations, including different types of churches, denominations, etc. And although I do make a few generalized expressions, I understand that all of the things I shared don’t apply to all Greek orgs. However, I do believe that it’s necessary to discuss and think about these things when considering Greek orgs because a lot of the details I shared do indeed apply to a great deal of Greek organizations, not all of course :) And also I totally agree, this information can be applied to so much a part from the conversation on Greek organizations, however, I’ve noticed that the church has slacked in talking about this matter (from my personal experiences with the Body of Christ). And because the church has slacked in speaking on such matters, I feel even a stronger necessity to talk about it. Especially when expressions such as “Greek orgs are Christian and founded on Christianity are ever constant among believers”, there’s a great need to decipher and discuss what’s Christina about them and what is not. But indeed, so many organizations, churches, and more would fall into the details of what I’ve shared in this video and should be discussed as well so that the Body of Christ may be edified appropriately :) Although, a lot of time, in my own experience, I find that Christians are more likely to talk about churches, orgs, and the like that fall in the details of this video way more than they are willing to discuss the culture of Greek life.

Cecillia Hackett your absolutely right. The church is lacking in a lot of areas when it comes to certain topics and lifestyles that are not of God. Should Greek Organizations be one that’s discussed? I wish I could go into detail but it’s entirely to much to type. Maybe I might post a video:-). Not trying to convince you other wise but to hear a different perspective. Greek Organizations differ from college to college, because the people in them differ. When that happens you will come across different situations.

@@ReggieBoi37how do you feel about being affiliated with a Greek god (demon) where the Bible clearly speaks against being affiliated with false gods? God said I am the first and the last, there is no other god. Some of these Greek gods are even mentioned in the Bible. Ppl worshipped these gods in real life. That doesn’t bother you being a member and a pastor?? You cannot separate the organization from the Greek god. Where in the Bible does it say being affiliated with another god is ok? In addition, most of these orgs rits have manipulated scripture, where the Bible speaks against doing that.

I’ve watched your last video and I’m about halfway through this one and I just had an inquiry about the uncomfortableness you say God was making you feel when you were apart of a greek organization. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe God was sending you those signs to encourage you to make a change in your organization? Like maybe pushing your line sisters to build a relationship with God and/or making your chapter more Godly as a whole? Maybe he wanted to use you in that way. It seems as if in these videos you are putting a stigma on all sororities and fraternities based upon a personal experience for yourself, which could even have been much deeper than what you interpreted it as. Gods purpose for everyone is different, and maybe greek life wasn’t for YOU (or, like I said, maybe you just interpreted his message wrong). I really enjoyed hearing your insight on this topic though because it definitely changed my perspective a little bit. The only criticism I would give is for you to emphasize that this is based solely upon personal experience, because you’re giving off a feeling that you know for a fact every chapter of every sorority and fraternity is the way you claim.

Raquel C I agree about the stigma because every chapter or organization is NOT the same and we cannot see every book in every org to know for sure, therefore speaking specifically about her sorority i think would be fair. That’s like associating a Baptist church with every Baptist church, and they may have similarities but none are the same. Nonetheless, she represents what she stands for which is God our Lord very well.
