In today's video, we will be discussing where Japanese men are deemed popular, attractive, and are desired in Canada as a response to the common presumption that Japanese men are undesired outside of Japan. Growing up in Canada, I think most Canadians highly regard Japanese products and services but I think when it comes to attractiveness, they see Japanese as just another Asian face. So they're either into Asians or aren't. And unfortunately, as shota mentioned, Japanese and Asian men in general aren't really portrayed as attractive in the west. I agree with Carolyn, I think it's changing though (among the youngsters) with the popularity of kpop idols, and east Asian beauty trends of tiktok. Damn I wrote a whole thesis 🤣

East Asian/Korean beauty standards/trends are really toxic tho. I think thats going to backfire. Tiktok does seem to be promoting asian culture (its an asian company, with what is probably mostly asian engineers).... curiously...
