Are Jewish Ultra-Orthodox Schools in NY Teaching Core Curriculum? 

Orthodox Jewish schools receive millions of dollars annually from government. By law they are required to provide basic education: reading, writing, arithmetic, geography, history etc. Government does not do routine inspections or enforce the law.

What is "core curriculum" these days? That boys may be girls and girls may be boys?

We aren’t teaching the Core Curriculum, and we’re Orthodox Christian. It’s a crap curriculum, developmentally inappropriate, and when it is, it’s immoral, against our faith. We teach our own classical curriculum. Our students are miles ahead of the average, both academically and religiously. Clue, don’t accept a dime from the state of New York. Legally, you don’t have to allow anyone in without prior arraignment. It’s a matter of safety and security. Don’t accept government subsidized lunch. What’s in it for us? The state wants cooperation? Why?

Well now I hear that they're suing New York because they're forced to teach English and science curriculum I'm sorry but those are important things that need to be discussed in school now. I also think that we should have control of how the Amish kids are being brought up because if you watch any documentaries about them you will know that they only go to school for a very short time and I think they do this to make it where they do not go away from their community. They do rumspring which is I believe is when they turn 16. the problem with this that 9 out of 10 Amish kids that decide to do this they actually get shunned from their families. I mean I respect the Amish I do 100% but I think they do a disservice to there kids when they do not allow their kids to learn, to get an education. But certain things need to be done to make sure the kids have a future

they're Jewish. They go Yeshiva to learn Torah. Not to learn Math and English

How about it's none of your business? Parents have the right to choose how their children are educated whether in religious schools are at home etc. The state needs to stay out of it. And this so called report is anti-semitic and has little bearing to actual facts. Jewish people tend to be highly educated and have no problem speaking English.
