It’s too many women so thirsty to be able to say “..my clients” & “book me” they got all these “techs” with NO professionalism. Just wanted to start a business to get money quick and obtain a lifestyle they couldn’t get in real life without scamming people
Esthetician here! It is borderline a necessity to be a licensed beauty professional because a lot of lash techs are DIRTY and double dip. I don’t hesitate showing my clients my licensure because that shows my understanding of application AND hygienics.
How you don’t give out your personal phone number, but you do business out of your personal home. 😮💨 That lady was just proving the lost client right with all that tongue smackin etc. She didn’t address the issue of completely blowing the girl off until she got her personal number. That is extra scammy. Edit: after seeing the eyelash mites, I’m going to be a lifelong mascara girl. Hell with them lashes.
You can get a work phone number, a burner phone at Walmart literally cost twenty dollars or get a good phone but either way you can write it right on off come tax time😂 I would be more inclined not to have people where I lay my head at night.
I got to the part with the mites and gross 🤢🤢 bad enough they are there normally, but an infection?? Nah, mascara and the occasional falsies for me! I'm too old for an eye infection!
You cancel an appointment when the client is basically at the door and you think this is acceptable? You do not need to have a business because common sense seems to have skipped your door.

Like c’mon if you going have a booking site and a deposit required, THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE GOTTA BE TOP NOTCH! I try to tell the girlies the biggest joke is trying to run a beauty business with no professionalism skills.
That part! Like, sure you could be talented in knowing how to put on lashes, do a wig, do nails, without a license - but if you don’t have good customer service skills that’s not going to keep any person who is spending money on a service. And like you said, that professionalism is missing.
The girl talking about the honest mistake got me weak 😂to swiftly cancel the appointment just to keep her from leaving a bad review then boohoo about CM tearing her poor fledgeling business apart is absurd. I be telling my husband all the time idk if there's something in the water now but where is the common sense? This is exactly why I decided to become a lash tech because there's a lot of them in my city but they either 1.operate just like that, worse than that or 2. They are using Amazon lashes for BARBIE DOLLS charging a arm, leg and eyeball because do not roll on your stomach in the middle of the night with them hard ass lashes you'll die and 3. There's no customer service to be seen from a mile away. I am still in school, but I know the value of good service and I know I'm about to give great service because I don't want anyone to have that sick feeling like they've gotten robbed, or eye assaulted because that cheap glue they be trying to use too will have you burning and blinded. That's all I keep thinking about in school is how I want to be a upstanding lash tech. The horror of it all😂😂😂
I did my lashes for about a year and lost all my natural lashes (that were also naturally long). The cost was adding up!! When my lashes drew back and I started doing lash lifts every 2 months for less than half the price of one lash extension service. I thread my brows every 2 weeks. I tried to learn to do my nails but that was failiure. So now I just do gel builder on my natural nails and a neutral polish (unless it's for an occasion) and I stretch my nails out to 4 weeks and feet 8 weeks. I can't do hair but I'm not paying for that either. My natural hair would be in a wash and go or pineapple. I don't know how some girls can afford all these services monthly and i already get fuming mad begging people to service me as if they're doing me a favour.
I have never been comfortable with going to anyone's home for any kind of service. I do my make up myself, my hair, my lashes, my nails, and my waxing. Sometimes this industry can be highway robbery and you don't get the quality that you're paying for.
When you said you canceled so you could not get a bad review was all that needed to be said. You also said you canceled because you knew you would not make the appointment. Then, all of a sudden, you were 5 minutes away 🤦🏾♀️

The lash tech that with the braids smacking every time she talks was annoying. I would have called it a loss when she tried reaching out to the lash tech before she got her personal number and she didn’t respond.
I agree! She was unprofessional and disrespectful, every thing was about “her” and no compassion or empathy for the young woman seeking clarity, and driving over 30 minutes! She’s wishy washy and not consistently responsive and that’s not the client’s fault
Very rare I’m on the celebs side but it’s So annoying when stylist do that they do that through style seat as well . I went through 4 braiders on style seat and they all said it wasn’t active anymore
I got my lashes done one time by a lash “tech” and paid either $150 or $175 on a Wednesday. My left side began coming out a lot my Monday. I then RU-vid diy lashes and order my own and have been doing them myself ever since. No way was I about to pay to have them done again. The lash business is sick. Over priced.
I’m an esthetician and I’m a waxer baby. I love my job. And also yes inflation is real and lots of competition also. I for a company, not for myself, it works well for me. Love the industry. I love making my clients feel beautiful. Honey, I’m thrifty as hell. I personally do all my beauty care at home and learned everything on you tube. I love caring for myself. And I get a massage and chiropractor regularly. Some woman like to feel superior, the beauty industry is also customer service based. We are serving our clients. I’m more of a therapist to the ladies mostly and then the service. My skincare routine is crazy, I have a full at home skin care routine. I use hair growth serum for my lashes and use caster oil for my brow growth. Better to go natural for me. Enhance your natural beauty
I live in Japan and a full set w/ conversion cost $60-40 depending on how many lashes u want and a refill is less than $30 & they last a a month a some change. & my acrylic nails I’ve learnt to do myself. America is getting super ghetto, I might not ever go back atp 😂
I do my own everything except a wax😆August 2023 was the last time I got played with. Plus the prices keep rising, and the customer service is trash. I've doing my kinky twists for 2 days lmaooo I'm almost done and it looks bomb. I do my clusters and they last 3 weeks but I love to change deign( I get them from Amazon) my nails and toes are from BTARTBOX and Gel x nails and they last 3-4 weeks. The only thing I don't like is I'm tall so it's a bit uncomfortable doing my pedicure but I'm here for it. I get to order other things, save up, pay my gym memberships, Apple etc I have tutorials and more coming up as well

I’ve been going to my lash tech (licensed cosmetologist) for two years now and I’m extremely blessed! I’m lucky enough to afford regular fills and I keep up on my lash maintenance. I feel incredibly lucky my lash tech has integrity and has always been professional.
Finally a someone that understands editing, getting to the point, and knowing when and when not to do punchlines! It’s so refreshing! def subbed lol I don’t even wear make up or lashes but based on the quality of the video it made me watch the whole way Ps this was the first video under the shorts on the main page for me. I get my lashes from CVS. I have gotten packs of lashes for less than $1! I use the falscara product with the ardell under lashes. No one thinks they're self done and for my lifestyle it works for me.
I used to get my lashes done, but I always knew how to utilize the strips. When I did get my lashes done, I noticed that my natural lashes started to fall off, and the glue began to irritate my eyes. So I went back to strips and saved a lot of money in the meantime!
As a beauty professional I think the problem is many people want certain looks without doing their due diligence to make sure everything is up to code with these professionals. I think a lot of people are uncomfortable with asking people for seeing their license or asking deep hitting questions. That is okay but it can be to a detriment
The silver lining to covid and the lock downs was me starting to do my own nails, waxing and lashes. I already did my own hair. Ladies i save sooo much money and its very therapeutic. These broads turned DIY projectsand started a business and charging crazy fees!!! I would never do others because I'm not licensed for those services.
She literally said she seen CM outside her studio and canceled right then instead of going out to meet her and saying you didn’t know the appointment was made. Verbal communication goes along way and she could’ve stated to her to come back in certain time for it to still be done. CM had every right to say you were unprofessional
I had a lash tech cancel on me because i was pregnant. That was the last time i did my lashes i was so pissed i drove 45 minutes to be told some BS. It’s better to learn the techniques yourself or just don’t do it at this point.
Yea it was on Groupon and that disclaimer should have been given. The crazy part is i see so many moms get extensions done while expecting, especially for their baby shower.
If you missed the notification about the appointment why not reach out and tell her immediately when she sent the “I’m here” text🤷🏾♀️ if you have your business on a 3rd party platform why not constantly check for appointments.

This was a Great video!! I just decided to go back to my DIY lashes at home. After returning to a lash tech two times for $180 to install and $100 for a refill and the lashes only lasted a few days and my eyes burned for 3 days post install! Not worth the cost!!
I haven’t finished the video but depending on the state you live in lash techs are illegal if they do not have an esthetician license. I believe a cosmetology license might suffice as well.
Oh also with those “free” sets that they should do to get practice they are charging a fee for those as well…. They put on Facebook lash model needed for social media. Then at the bottom hashtag #modeling-fee. So your putting me on the internet benefit from it multiple ways practice/exposure and I have to pay $25/35 bucks.
I had my lashes done last Saturday. They were gone by Tuesday. And I didn’t get them wet for 24 hours so that’s just two days of wear really. I definitely need to learn to do them myself.
I give people my address two days before the appointment but she didn’t get it to what 10 minutes before her appointment. Said she didn’t want to wait five minutes but she actually waited long. The tech should have been finished because the customer was over 30 min later. The tech was unprofessional. Just cause I can afford to lose money doesn’t mean I want to. If I pay for a service I want it if I don’t get it I want my money I don’t care if it’s a penny lol. That money equals hour, minutes or seconds of hours I had to spend at my job versus my bed lol. And the whole mouth smacking thing killing me i don’t know why but I wish she didn’t do so much lol
I’m one of the lash girlies that gets mine done every 2-3weeks but after watching this and seeing all those infected eyelids scared the hell out of me 🤣🤣🤣

Lash Tech do 3 months of school here in Texas and have to past the state exam in order to practice legally. You can get your licensed here. It’s no scam. 😒
These lash techs are really unprofessional. Before I knew you needed to be an esthetician to do lashes in Cali I went to a lash tech that was working in a salon and she was flexing her little lash course certificate. The lashes turned out so ugly 😭. I didn’t wet them and I slept on my back and woke up with lashes under my eyes and in my cheeks so I messaged the girl because it had been less than 36hrs and she left me on read.
What the?!?! How the lashes end up basically coming off so quick! That would make me mad w her lack of response. And they wonder why we doin our own shit😒
I got my lashes done for 3-5 years but when my lashes was coming off in huge clumps by the next week cause it was a bunch of clusters I said I will order my own clusters and do them myself they last a week as well and now I can go with out them longer because I am not going places
When are people going yo learn yo stop getting professional services from TikTok? Every time I see someone who prepaid for a service because it was on social media, I laugh and say good for you.
Do you get your lashes done! Cuz who sitting for 2-3hrs my fills take max 45 minutes I pay 50! A full and go every three weeks! My lash tech provides the solution to clean the lashes for free!
The lady in the beginning wasn't unprofessional for canceling. She had every right to. What people dont seem to understand is that businesses CAN AND WILL refuse you service. It doesn't matter who you are. You aren’t entitled to a business and their services, especially if you didn't pay anything. Its different if you did pay something it's a little different, but if you're going to be nasty, they can still refuse you service. Remember in the front of your mind that you're not entitled to ANYONE'S service.🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I do strips I can take it off n put it bac on I can cleanse my face correctly and also I save a bunch of money . I b damn I pay so muc n not satisfied and god forbid them put glue in my eye now I cnt see . I’m ok .
IMO, I think she knows that Jr. has some issues going on, but if he has cri du chat syndrome, that's genetic, so the only way to avoid him getting it would be to not carry to term (I believe). If he has FAS, then that is completely her fault, so if she comes out and admits it, then she will lose a lot more support.
