Definitely echo what Alison said about the current lack of excitement watching Liverpool but it's better than Liverpool conceding an early goal every game under the last few seasons of klopp.
I think Slot's system is less "energy sapping" for the players so in the long run, it might be better. Going 100 miles/hour 80-90% of the time is great for the eyes but come Feb, March, April, the players would be jaded & worn out. But yeah "less excitement" while winning is always better than giving fans a dozen of heart attacks every other game lol
We have conceded the first goal 3 times under Slot against poor opposition. Fortunate that wasn't 5 times but for close offsides. Klopp got more points and far more goals from these same games last season. Would rather be entertained and win than be bored and win.
When Liverpool won the league that was probably the least exciting football Klopp played but it was effective in getting results. If the home crowd want the title they will have to created the energy Klopp always knew this and it pretty clear that this slot team has a great chance of doing something special if they can still be a title race come March April
@@realtalk8665 You can't create energy if the football is boring. Liverpool still played far more exciting football in 19/20 and they certainly did in the CL games when we reached finals. Slot has been lucky, something Klopp never had was luck, if we do anything it will because other teams lose key players (which Arsenal and MC have) or VAR/ refs don't screw us over, we lost two titles by a point and it was a miracle clearance and refs that cost us.

Last year in the cup Liverpool were 3-2 up against united late into the game.They played like they were 3-2 down it cost them the tie. I loved Klopp but sometimes you have to shut up shop it was very bad game management,i cant see Slot doing that.
How can you compare Palmer at his starting peak vs Salah past his best? Palmer was quiet in the game because Jones shut him down. There are some pundits who have it in for Liverpool so no matter what LFC does there will always be criticism.
While we're winning this style of football will be tolerated, but I saw enough against Forest to see it won't be once more points are dropped. Last season Klopp's team did better in these same fixtures, and were playing far more exciting football. There is no buzz about this style of play, you don't go to the ground feeling like you did under Klopp. People can whine about early goals being conceded but 2 defeats at Anfield in the league in 7 years (with fans in) won't be beaten by Slot. He has been very lucky getting out of form and suspension hit teams too.
I don't think Liverpool fans are complaining. If 5-10% of the loud minority are complaining, u can't make a blanket statement about that. I'm all for generalizations (I think it's a good thing) but it has to represent the vast majority for it to be valid. U can't say women are stronger than men when most men are stronger than most women. Are there a few women who are stronger than some men, sure but u can't say women are stronger than men just because a couple of them are LMAO
Curtis Jones had Palmer in his pocket. It was quite simple to man mark him out of the game and I think more teams will use Slots game plan against them.
