You did a wonderful job at explaining pet ownership! No matter what you have to love them and be prepared, just like taking care of a child. You can't just give up.
If you’ve never owned birds don’t look for any specific birds, just get budgies, if noise is a problem just get zebra finches I’ve never really owned but that’s just my opinion
Yes a want a cuddle bird, !!! I had a green cheek conure, they are so cuddly, always wanted to be with me.....he was quiet though..and is resting in peace....looking for another cuddling bird like a love bird, but afraid of the noise....are they much louder than cockatiels?
i want a green cheek next. i love them. i bought my lovebird from a breeder very young and already handtamed. he is SO cuddly. but yes, he can be noisy with a high pitched peep. he is 80 decibels - same volume as a cockatiel. but he is quiet as long as he is busy with a toy. so he gets many new toys and things to chew on.
My bright yellow one Icarus. Likes to wake up early enjoy the morning sun. He'll fly into my room sit on my dresser by the window. Singing away. He's my little alarm clock. As for my hooded one Ridley. She loves to sleep in. If he gets too loud in the morning she'll let out a loud shrill shriek. Telling him to Shadup. Lol
Our 13 year old sun conure is the best bird ever! He loves people and loves my mom the most but even since a little baby, he will not let ANYONE pet him, we tried everything, he was handled too, but he just HATES when people pet him and he bites😂😂😂 but he will go anywhere on the shoulder, step up to anyone, ride in the car, fly to my moms room, but petting will always be off limits for Fluffy haha
Train her to step up and to do recall flight. It’s so much kinder than clipping wings. It’s mean to clip wings. You can easily train a bird to come to its name if you feed them veggies and save seeds for training treats.
