This is a great video. I agree that it is sad that people see manners and politeness as outmoded and obsolete, it might be that I'm a small town girl but they're important to me and how I was raised. Manners and respect are something I expect in friends and in potential boyfriends. A guy I like recently told me he liked it when I reminded him to say please after he asked me to do something. I was really happy to hear that because it tells me he likes good manners, too.
Yes, manners are important. For example, a lady stopped me today and complimented me on my hair. I thanked her, and while we chatted, introduced my husband and brought him into the conversation. Conversely, we then bumped into two guys my husband knew, both blanked me and talked to him as if I wasn't there. I could have interrupted them, but stood, quietly fuming while they carried on being self important. Next time, I won't be polite.
