IMO: Pads: feels like wearing a diaper, feels horrible, often doesn’t work well enough Tampons: Makes me worried about TSS (since I really can’t change it as often as needed) feels like shoving a sponge up there, uncomfortable, leaks Cups: difficult to get in and take out, sometimes leaks, overall more comfortable and reliable than pads or tampons Disks: best option, comfortable, easy to use, no leaks
Never had a tampon suction onto my uterus like my cup did, that hurt for days. Discs feel much safer to me, but both cups and discs require exceptionally clean hands. Tampons don't usually have the opportunity to introduce bacteria from your hands.
I had awful cramps and nausea with tampons. I thought that this was just part of my cycle. Nope it was tampons! After I started using a cup my cramps and nausea STOPPED!
