Are MK7's Known to Burn Oil? | AskDap Episode 

Try a different brand of oil. I was using a quart every 5-7k on whatever the dealer uses and I switched brands and oil consumption is down by at least half. This was an Audi not a mk7 but it's an easy thing to try.

Hi i have 2012 passa cc 2.0t Getting the symptoms, stalling, hesitation on low speed, hard start etc symptoms are not there all the time and the car sometimes start and run normal, most of the time when I stop and start the engine back it doesn’t start until i press the gas paddle. No check engine light and i don’t know the code I getting but I understood from the mechanic that the engine running rich. Mechanic checked all the sensors cleaned the injectors (it improved a little) but still have the problem.

I have the exact problem with my Mk7 GTI. Oil changed every 5 to 6 K but I have to add a quart between services.. I just assumed it was normal for VWs?

It's common they use oil...! Thats the honneurs story. Vw, audi, seat etc all have same problems, some engine types more than other because there are small diffences. It's not the brand it used to be, known for building good value cars.
