I am so in love with all the content on your chanel! I am really glad that I discovered it about a year ago :D since then I got more and more into watches. Ok I only got myself a "Casio-Oak" but I guess I would never bought a watch at all without you passionately talking about them.
Really love the Max 90’s! I remember a boy in our school being the first to have them and i was so jealous! The same boy had the Atari Lynx to which made me a little jealous to say the least!!!! The Vapours I do like them but just too modern for me T ! I like the older Nike Air Tailwinds or Killshots with shirt and jeans! But a pair of Max 90’s are in order!!!!
Thank you TGV, i subscribed to your channel originally because I love watches and your comments. But this time you convinced me to order the Nike Air Vapormax Plus Sneakers in white. Thank you so much. Sure I will enjoy them on my trip to Florence in a couple of weeks. KR, Michael from sunny Austria
Showing my age but I was 13 in 1987 and owned the first Air Max as a birthday present! They were so comfortable! Still wearing Air Max today! Downshifted 8s! Love them! Great episode and lovely to watch something different! Rocking my G-Shock M5610 1ER with said Air Max. Air Max 90 for the win!
The comment section on these videos is a bastion of class and elegance. The proper grammar, spelling and general gentlemany demanor of the urban gentry makes me feel like we converse in a Victorian era English gentlemens club. Thank you TGV for creating such a space, in an otherwise vulger environment that is the youtube comment section.
I originally started watching for the watch content a couple or more years ago, but I have to say, I really enjoy your videos that are about “random” topics that you enjoy
Good day TGV, that is some Original Gentry Content! Those Nikes are timeless classics. Me personally I rotate between Nike, Adidas and New Balance. those VaporMax look pretty comfy, I have to say. Have a great evening!
In Italy, among us teenagers, the air max plus, or squalo as we call them, are very popular. Unfortunately these shoes are associated with pusher or criminals who adopt them as their street uniform, since they are very comfortable, menacing looking and expensive.
@@theurbangentry I like to pair my blue Addidas sambas with my Poljot ocean chronograph. A truly unbeatable 80's retro look. I defy anyone to beat that 😊
Love the air Max 90’s, air force 1’s and Air Jordan 1-4 + the 11’s👌 My all time favourite is the air jordan 3 cyber monday😊 i have worn out 3 pairs of them😂
When I saw the title of the video, I was like "... GREAT!". Not only watches and horology, but now something for the physically active people like myself! Have you ever considered about making a video, talking about the important Seiko 'Save the Ocean' line? I think it would be very interesting. Best regards, Jesper
This style of shoe would not hold up to my daily use. I wear leather boots mostly, as I spend all day walking on concrete slabs. A 400$ pair of shoes needs to last 5 years to be worth that price imho.
Really dig the tech wear vibe of these sneakers and enjoyed your thorough review; might have to cop a pair myself soon... 👀 My go-to's have been white Vans Old Skools lately.
I love my trainers but i'm a huge fan of the retro Adidas releases. I'd be a liar if i said i'd wear anything other than my beloved Adidas. Even still i love these kind of videos regardless of the brand.
no no no no no... please take a look at the research and bio-mechanics of natural running and minimal shoes, besides the over-design of these shoes, it's a big industry hoax. just check it out, check out Vivobarefoot channels and social media. just a friendly suggestion. Cheers!
It took me a while to get used to vapormaxes but now I think they look great and are extremely comfy especially the flyknits, not sure about the newer releases though. 95's will always have a special place in my heart though and I think Adidas NMD's are up there with the best.
I love the contrast between your classic British 'roadman' attire and your amazingly eloquent commentary! I rock 90's everyday.. check out the AM90 bacon!
Bel video come sempre, i would also suggest you to try out a pair of Nike's with the react midsole or one with the zoomx midsole (I have never tried that in particular but it is known to be the most comfortable) or a pair of ultraboost by Adidas. Ciao!
This type of video got me into the gentry. That mix of geek, attention to detail, enthusiasm and humour. The subject, coffee, wine, trainers or dare I say it watches……..doesn’t matter.
I’m a sneakerhead as well. I don’t do business with Nike anymore because of their politics and their use of questionable labor in foreign countries. 🤔 Instead I’ve been collecting all of the Altama OTB shoes in various colors and camouflages. I also have many Salomons and some Adidas.
Good afternoon sir, a absolutely stunning trainer however don’t forget diadora a slight nod to your Italian roots, and also the casual terrace culture, ie Borg elite, however your new choice is a proper trainer, congratulations and enjoy, kind regards Ryan.
Ryan, I will definitely not!!! You would love my Film trackies, will check out Borg Elite, rings a bell. Thank you my friend, I hope all is well. Best regards, TGV P.s. Good luck on the 22nd with the Czechs
Oups, wrong channel: Someone is trying to review sneakers like TGV reviews watches. 😏 He almost got me. Quite a good fake, even the wrist watch check. 🤔
I dont think you understand the grief an Englishman would receive if he walked around Britain in cowboy boots mate.....people would be calling you woody from toy story and singing YMCA and everything! 😆👍
“I don’t like the AM95 because they look too much like hiking boots” Ahahah. I bought a pair two days ago for the same reason. Like, rephrase it by changing “don’t like” to just “like”.
I love my air max's so much that buying trainers without air bubbles leaves me feeling like I've been ripped off so I dont bother....90s will always be my go to but I do wish they would start releasing air max classics again.
YES YES TGV WE NEED MORE SNEAKER REVIEWS FROM YOU!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A REALLY LONG TIME! Check out some Jordan 1's or Forum 84's from Adidas
Loved the video. I do love your watch videos but always appreciate your lifestyle videos. Have to admit I've never really been a Nike guy. Puma has always been my go to sportswear of choice. But like watches i follow the Bertie Basset confectionery, and I appreciate Allsorts. Great video, look forward to more 👍
Original Air Max Plus is much better than the Vapormax. I have a Flyknit model and it's just rubbish compared to the Plus. If I get a Vapormax Plus I'd feel similar so I won't waste my money. The real Plus is very supportive and you'll never trip over in them. With Ultraboosts I've lost my balance twice in them nearly falling and stacking it. I threw them out the last time that happened. The Vapormax does not have that support that a 95, 97, or Plus inherently has. Even the Air Max 1 has a level of support. You don't want a very cushioned shoe all day because your feet need something firm, after all we evolved walking on hard and variable surfaces. Walking on mattresses all day is not good for us. Moderation is best here. Perhaps once everybody quits wearing the Air Max 90 I'll get a pair because for years they just don't suit my style compared to the above, the 97 being my least favourite.
I'm an AM90 fanboy myself, it was the 1st AM i bought in the 90's. I got the limited edtion version from footlocker back then, then I switched to the BW when Nike discontinued the 90. Then in 2001 Nike brought the iconic shoe back and since then I'm wearing it. Got the 2020 Duck camo collection and the Bacon amongst others. Wore a bunch and throw them away when broken.
If you like air max and wana feel maximum comfort u really should try air max 180 or air max 93 - the most soft and comfortable maxes imo. Also, air huarache - beats them all
Love the new opening, very captivating music/ video sync....liked the new Nikes, so very important to wear solid footwear cause you are only as good as your foundation..... thanks again TGV for an enjoyable discussion....ciao
I prefer my sneakers a bit more understated, which is why I tend more towards asics and new balance. In general - I like it if I wear shoes not anybody else is wearing due to current trends... I mostly buy what is available in the Sale department, because shoes wear naturally and I don't like to spend much money on material goods and can't keep it forever. I could not spend multiple hundred bucks on shoes
Haha, sometimes I really do wish we all reverted to those ways too, and sometimes I just want to lounge about in ultra comfort. I guess it's the perpetual duality in me. Thank you Jay, I respect your traditionalism my friend. Best regards, TGV
I have a pair of Wonder Woman Converse that I've never worn outside, they're too pretty! I also wanted a pair of Air Max back in the 90s, such a good looking shoe. I'd say they were the best looking Nikes but then I remember 90s Air Jordans.
Nice video 👍 One thing peaked my interest though… You’re Italian, why do you wear sneakers at home? I get that some Americans do (not everyone since I’ve been there a couple of times) but they don’t do it in Italy and the rest of Europe (I live in Sweden). I mean, wearing a sneaker all day even if you’re just inside must make the feet quite funky at the end of the day 🤷♂️
Funny, I just did a video explaining exactly why I wear a pair of "indoor only" sneakers: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LEZ2wR4-4ko.html Enjoy! Best regards, TGV
I bought a pair of vapor max a while back. They're alright but the noise they make on certain flooring is a little annoying. Ive always been a new balance 574 guy but ive been wearing adidas more and more lately.
