This movie and performance by Kanran just left me panting! Kilode! The man.deserves an Oscar for his acting here..It was just too powerful.There is nothing like Yoruba traditonal movies.The best!

Though an old story indeed but salient lessons learnt include; Men need to be watchful and observant. Delilah afflicted the soul of Samson to death, 'Sadiwin, one of the wives of Are Ona Kakanfo was a replica of Delilah in the Bible. Simple obedience should graduate to total obedience, hence the crossing of Ose river against the instruction of Kurunmi by the warlords. I love the film and it's a food for thought for this generation.

This is oscar award winning movie, I wish white people can appreciate African movie, it worth the time if you like traditional Yoruba movies/histories

I know, I must have seen this movie, considering the fact of how old it is. Need to watch it with clear head. Not too long I started doing research on the history of yoruba and I heard this movie is a good description of the feud between the then Aláàfin of Ọ̀yọ́ and afonja(aré ọ̀nà kánkán fò)
