People need to realize Race has ALWAYS been the main factor in America. Just learn American history when it comes to Economics. Politics. Social Issues. Religion. Criminal justice etc. one example in history is the trail of tears. Cherokee Indians were practicing many White Europeans way of life in rural America by being farmers and slave owners to work there land and some became wealthy and some fought in war of 1812. But white became jealous of their success and wanted Their Land once gold was found on the land so what happen President Andrew Jackson turn his back on the Cherokee and took their land and forced them to move to the plains in the west which eventually was taken from them as well. If one actually study American history and world history can see Race is the main reason things happen or don't happen as far as laws being passed. Conflicts between countries, certain policies being enacted etc etc.

@K41 so like, if you lived in a religious society where it was socially unacceptable to, say be an atheist, that means people can post something you said online, because they know society will react negatively and use bad publicity to pressure your employer into firing you, and make you lose your job. I was in a wreck one time and the police would take me home if I lived in the city limits.I am white and a black friend was with me. He lived inside the city limits I didn’t so they took us to his house although they wouldn’t take us down his street. It was a dead end street. The black police officer said he couldn’t because he didn’t want to end up dead. The street was all black and he told me I better run because the house was about 500 feet from where he dropped us off. So yes I believe officers are scared of black men.

Yes, some cops are scared shitless when black men are involved💯. I know, I'm a retired cop myself. I think it stems from a lack of diversity growing up and racial interaction🤔.

Based on the reports I've reviewed and the response by officers involved in shootings of "black" suspects that tends to be the common response given. Even when the shooting victims have been unarmed. Typicallyit was: "I was afraid for my life" or "I was afraid for my well being." And I spent 25 years on a police agency in both the corrections and police side.
If you don't respect the people you are supposed to protect, they will never respect and protect you when you need it. Stop being trained by former combat veterans that train, "Shoot first and sort it all later. Growing up in Hollywood, CA in the late 50's/60's, I grew up with an Italian that became a Cop. He was terrified of anyone or anything that was Japanese.
I believe all law enforcement officers who work in a large urban environment, particularly one where there is a great deal of gang or activity are programmed to have a great deal of suspicion of young black men between 14-35. Consequently, these same men tend to have much justifiable apprehension of the police.

If you are that afraid of another group don't become an Officer. I myself have had more than my fair share of negative experiences from African Americans. Yet, I am guarded. I don't hate them but, I rarely interact with them.

i have understood over the years that there is a touch of racism in all of us.i also found jane elliott very informative as well.she appeared on the oprah show years ago and she is a world renowned expert on race and race relations.
Each police department should have an honest survey of its officers to see if they have any bias towards people based what they think someone's ethnicity is and then go forward from there on training/education. Some of them are simply not following de-escalation protocols.
Training protocol: Don't be a violent. Avoid confrontation. If you are forced to fight, make sure you're the only one left standing. All guns are ALWAYS loaded. Never point your gun at anything you're not willing to destroy. Don't put your finger on the trigger until you're ready to destroy your target. Be aware of what's beyond your target. Fuck with armed folks at your own peril.
cops need to learn and need to be in social meets with all people ,.. black people ... they need made ge to GET TO KNOW black people .. that is a must for police . the dept should make that part their volunteer training . about talking about their petty shallow fears,...
These cops aren't held accountable cause it's part of their plan. If they were held accountable it wouldn't happen at all. Wake up people they like it when your sleep that way they can do it in your face!
