I always thought having a robot maid like Rosie from the Jetsons would be so cool. But now that it could be a reality, I’m scared of it. I’d definitely hide my knives! 😂
What defines humanity? What defines sentience? What is a soul? If we adopt the mindset of all things coming from God, which includes the ideas that men have to create things like technology, could we not also say that sentient technology also comes from God and thus is made in His image? If that's the case and humanity is defined by physicality, then to be human is to be flesh and bone, and nothing else. Or maybe, humanity is nothing more than a concept, something we concocted in order to attempt to define the inarticulate darkened corners of existence. We can't comprehend, and thus create a philosophical safety net to fall back on because it's simply less terrifying to make up an answer than to not have one at all.
