I loved how James called out Acho on his hypocrisy because he did say the Steelers would be a great fit for Russell Wilson similar to his fit in Seattle.
@@TanglewoodTrilla her “points” are idiotic . Ya can’t see it for yourself that’s your problem . Asking idiotic questions that are not relevant is but 1 example and no1 dare criticize her because they don’t want to be cancelled
@@travisrhodes1477soooooooo... You can't come up with 1 example. You took the cowards way out by saying "if you can't see it for yourself" come on dude... Just give 1 example🙄
ORR we are being realistic , cmon please... mike Tomlin is one of my favorite coaches of all time, him avoiding losing records with mediocre offense (which he plays a part in as a head coach who has that kind of power) doesn't make them a superbowl contender just bcus they got russ and fields lmao
Exactly. I laughed when James brought up the Bengals never winning a playoff game under Lewis… TJ infamously cleaned his cleats with a Terrible Towel and then lost to the Steelers (in Cincinnati!) in the first round.
Eagles fan here with no dog in this race. Joy and James are spot on here. Russ played good and sometimes great football last year and he won a Super Bowl with a team that was built just like the Steelers. They can win a wild card game for sure. They won 10 games with nobodies under center (respectfully).
@@aedinquinn8687lol who are they gonna trade for Aiyuk? They have noone to offer. And he's back at practice today. AB was never gonna trade Coop he was just driving the price up on you guys and it worked. 😂
@@330wiz7 no it didn’t he wanted more from the Steelers than the Steelers didn’t budge and that’s why he’s at the 49ers practice today. What are you talking about? and if anything he made the 49ers pay more for him.
The crazy thing is Russ could give us half of that & we’ll still mess round & take the North lmaoo.. ppl don’t realize that winning is just something we do wether it’s in the division or out of it lol
@cameronzwicke5761 reaching? Me thinks you're being unfair to the offense. Sure defense stopped touchdowns. However, it wasn't defense who threw 3 touchdown passes!
If Russell just does exactly what he did last year in Denver would be light years ahead of what we had last year. He had more tds and less interceptions than our entire qb room last year.
Russell Wilson with the sorry Broncos beat the Superbowl Champs and 5 other playoff teams last year before he was stupidly benched! Steelers will have a great season!
I wouldn’t really put much stock in them beating the chiefs when Mahomes had been absolutely dominant over them for years. It’s hard to go undefeated against a division rival for 7 years
@@rogeromance and yet they didn't get to the playoffs. So that means he lost more games to sorry teams than he did against good teams? I don't think that is the own you think it is.
Russel Wilson’s last playoff Win was in 2020, not 2017 like Acho said… 🙄 I’m tired of people throwing false narratives out there to rewrite Russell’s career 😒
First of all, he said "I think" which trumps your entire comment. He is not putting what he said about Russell Wilson out there as a factual statement. Second of all, he said "last playoff win." Russ didn't win his playoff game from the 2020 season. However, I think he won one in 2019.
He has a super bowl roster around him, that’s the difference. And Rodgers has played in 5 NFC title games and was just in one 4 years ago. He didn’t forget how to compete for championships. Your take is foolish.
Last year Russ had 4 game winning drives and could have had at least 3 more if things planned out differently. Russell Wilson had one of the best passer rating in the 4th. Let's not let a bad situation cloud our judgement.
@@jonsnipe5484 yea Payton didn't want Russ. He is an offensive coach that likes to run short concepts. Which is kinda the opposite of Russ. Russ can be 18/21 for a game with. 300 yards and 3 TD. Sean Payton wants a 25/30 guy. Russ is jazz and Sean Payton is classical music
“…if things had panned out differently.”🤔 You mean if Sean Payton hadn’t been sabotaging him and trying to tank the season away. It was as clear as day. Sean Payton is a lot like Donald Trump. He’s an arrogant, cheating narcissist who has no respect for rules and not a care in the world for how his actions impact others.
@@Joel_Aleman: : Payton’s dislike for Russ had nothing to do with football. He knew Russ could’ve run his system even more effectively than Brees because Russ is more versatile than Brees was and barely an inch shorter. Payton didn’t like Russ’s persona. It also appeared that he wanted to punish Russ for something, but I’m not sure we will ever know what that is.
Didn’t they have the worst or near worst QB play in the league last season? Winning 10 games while only scoring 17 points per game, is insane. That defense is a championship defense. Russ just needs to be above average this season.
ok. i have been scrolling through these comments for like 3 minutes and i see this multiple times, the question isn't can they make the play offs. ofc they can. i happen to think they will make the play offs this year. BUT (and this is where the real prompt comes in from the video) the question is super bowl. and i just dont think in the AFC that they are real contenders AT THIS POINT. let them play a little before we determine an outcome. can i be proven wrong? absolutely. and if they were in the NFC i actually believe even if russ isn't really good that the steelers are coached well enough to be favored against at LEAST 12 maby 13 teams in the nfc this year. but in the AFC. i just find it hard to see.
@@buckywylde6493 go look at their schedule and tell me again that the Steelers are making the playoffs lol The falcons who they play week 1, just made two big moves on defense and are no longer the east W Pittsburgh thought they’d get on the road. I agree with you on your overall point tho.
You can’t count the Steelers out, and say it’s not realistic, remember the old saying any given Sunday, you can win or lose no matter how high you’re ranked or how well your season is going!!!
The Russell Wilson hate is real which I think everyone has a right to their opinion but if he performs otherwise just give him his props which no one will I don’t see how you can look at his stats from last year and say he played poorly in fact Russell Wilson is ranked 4 all-time in passer rating
@Freethewordtv I mean in terms of roster? Yeah the Steelers might be the worst team in the AFC North. No wide receivers, ok running backs, decent coaching, good defense. There's a reason they could barely get more than 20 points last year. Realistically, I see Baltimore or Cincinnati taking the division. Steelers gotta make drastic changes.
Steelers have just as much of a shot with Russell Wilson if not more of a shot than the Jets, definitely the Chargers, and almost any other team not named the Chiefs maybe the Bengals. As a matter of fact they're my sleeper pick out of the AFC.
Jets have more talent on offense than the Steelers, with a better defense and better QB. Enough said. Who’s the Steelers #2 receiver?? Why you think they want Aiyuk so bad. Can you compare the Steelers RBs to Breece Hall on the jets 🤔
@@AYjoy93 First of all, the Steelers were 10-7 the Jets were 7-10. So, they're starting out 3 wins better. The Steelers were 6th in points allowed the Jets were 12th. It's debatable how much better the Jets defense is if at all. Russell Wilson last year in Denver was better than Aaron Rodgers' last year in Green Bay and he's 40 and coming off of an Achilles injury. Yes, you can compare Najee Harris to Breece Hall and besides that, the Jets were 22nd in rushing yds, the Steeler were 13th. Their 2nd wr right now is the same one the Rams had when they won the SB, Van Jefferson. Lastly, the Steelers have a better head coach who has never had a losing season. The Jets coach has never had a winning one.
@@roderickburrell2060 First, 3 of the Steelers wins came against a ravens team resting starters and a bengals team without Burrow. Next, the Jets have given up only 19 points per game the last two seasons on average. How about checking the amount of yards given up compared to the Steelers. Jets are 3rd and Steelers are 21st. Additionally, Russell Wilson’s last year consisted of managing the game. He barely passed for 3000 yards. Rodgers at his best isn’t comparable to Wilson and you know that. Rodgers didn’t forget how to throw a football. And our running game issues had nothing to do with Breece Hall. Hall had 1585 all purpose yards coming off of a torn ACL. It was our offensive line which we fixed and a passing game that no one respected because Rodgers wasn’t there that caused our issues. Jets defense never played with leads and still had the 3rd best defense making QBs like Mahomes, Allen, and Hurts look ordinary. Bragging about no losing seasons only to bow out in the first playoff game doesn’t faze anyone. It’s a very low standard. Rodgers healthy last year gives us 10 wins at the least. Jets were in almost every game without him and beat 3 playoff teams. It’s only common sense to project success for a defense that gives up less than 20 points and a QB that never averaged less than 20. And sorry but Van Jefferson isn’t scaring defenses especially the jets. He was the 3rd best receiver on that rams team. Now he’s your second. Not a great plan.
Who would know more about Championships more than Emmanuel Acho. Of course he would. He was in the league for 4 years. A backup player on teams that didn't make the playoffs
They don't want to acknowledge that all Tomlin needs is a competent offensive coordinator and maybe a WR2 (I wanted Brian Thomas Jr) and the Steelers can make a push in the playoffs. Aocho acts like Russ didn't improve greatly from his first year in Denver despite his head coach hating him the whole time.
He can still be Seahawks Russ. I never saw Russ hit a cliff. I saw Russ get injured and play three seasons on sh!tty squads, including in his final two years with the Seahawks - and he still managed to lead one of them to a 12-4 record and the NFCw divisional title.
You have to think instead of talking . So this team improved at ilb, cb, safety, ol, and QB. They won 10 games last year with the worst QB play in 50 years and they have no chance? You sound silly.
ACHO IS READY FOR COMEDY CENTRAL, and already has the laughable name. And he knows he was schooled by her and James. Clownish!!! 🤡 AND one more thing… he isn’t man enough to go tell Russell Wilson in his face he is done. Facts!!!
Acho, stating what an NFL team has "not" done in the past is NOT an indicator of their future potential. In fact, most teams who make it to the SB & lose have a poor season thereafter.
Mobile QBs don’t age well. Russ is in his mid 30’s, any coincidence that the last four years have been his worst seasons. Any coincidence that Seattle took a $20 million dead cap hit and Denver decided to take two dead cap hits of $40 million. Three of the five biggest dead cap hits in NFL history are associated with Russ. This guy has reached a point where teams are literally paying him NOT to play on their team. Read the room, when teams are paying you NOT to play for them anymore you’re cooked. Time to retire before he tarnishes his legacy any further.
This was uncomfortable to watch Acho follow the media's Bash Russell Wilson agenda at all cause. Joy and the guy beside her are starting to feel uncomfortable in following the agenda
Look at what the Steelers added this offseason alone: Went out and got Patrick Queen, re did their OL, injured players are coming back, and they got rid of their OC. Russ doesn’t even need to be perfect, just be competent. They were in the playoffs with two hands Kenny and his 7 passing touchdowns, Wilson had 29 last year. Steelers got a run game they can rely on that Wilson didn’t have last year. They can most definitely “compete” for a Super Bowl. Chiefs Ravens Texans Dolphins Bengals Jets or Jags Steelers
Y’all really think Russ gives the Steelers a good chance at getting into the playoffs with 3 playoff caliber teams and 2 of the best QBs in football and then beating Patrick Mahomes if they do get in. Never mind the Jets and Texans. Please stop.
Seeing all the Steelers fans with their eternal hope in their new QB Wilson reminds me of the optimism that the Denver fans had before Wilson had played a single down for the Broncos. Easy to be optimistic before the games have been played :)
This is a great situation for Russ. Pete Carroll completely destroyed that D & run game he once had & Russ gets blamed & gets zero credit. The Broncos hired a trash HC in Hackett & Russ got blamed. Broncos hired another HC that didn’t want Russ from day 1, cause he wanted to start over with “his” guy, & Russ gets blamed. He’s now in a situation with a coach that wants & believes in him
Thank you Joy for keeping it 100. I get that Stroud showed some flashes of greatness, but to anoint them as 1 of the favorites to win it all is just too premature. Let's see what he looks like this season & then go from there.
Here's a huge disagreement I have with T.J. about the percentage he gave the Steelers or in his words "2% chance." The Steelers made the playoffs last year without competent quarterback play. 14 out of the 32 teams in the league make the playoffs. Now that they have two quarterbacks to work with and hopefully do better than last year that gives Pittsburgh at least a 43% chance (14 / 32) to work with as far as contention. As Russ stated, "we have a great chance" to which I would agree. I am not a Steelers fan, but to have such little faith on a team that has a great roster, a great coach and defense, you have to give them a much better shot than 2%. T.J. is acting like we're talking about milk 💀
11:51 Im a big Steeler fan for 55 years....but my Steelers have the toughest schedule in the national football League.... Especially the last eight games.... I don't care what anybody say and Steeler fans y'all may get mad at me.... But we still ain't got a f****** quarterback and in this league if you want to win the super bowl or even get to a championship game you got to have a pretty good quarterback.... I guess we can hope we can get one in the draft.... I see us either being 9 and 8 or 10 and 7😢
The dumpster fire Broncos were in the playoff race and most of that was because of Russell Wilson. In spite of Sean Payton sabotaging him. He’s going to a better situation in every single way in Pittsburgh. All he has to do is what he did last year and James Jones is correct…. Chiefs and Ravens are the only teams ahead of them.
im a ravens fan but... give tomlin a good qb with good QB play with that defense who is led by my opinion the best defensive player in the league in Tj watt ill say theyre be better than the jets who everybody is hyping up
Clearly both sides are biased so it’s not a good debate for this particular show/group. Every show and fan has this same debate before the season. Every fan of there team thinks there playoff bound
Joy trying to act like the jets having better projections is unreasonable when they have a QB that's won back to back mvps not too long ago, compared to wilson who has never even gotten an mvp vote lol.
Acho and TJ are beyond wrong, it’s funny to see. Jones is once again the one with the accurate take. I’ll give Joy her props too after Jones gave his take.
Joy says most teams expectations arent realistic, but she'll still bash them every season for not wining a SB, until its the Steelers or Dolphins smh. Then she gives them a pass
JOY IS FAIR. JAMES TALK THAT TALK!!! I SWEAR THIS GUY ACHO IS SO BIAS AGAINST BLACK QB; I SWEAR HE IS A HATER! HIS PASSION IS ANOTHER LEVEL AGAINST BLACK QBs. ACHO IS AN OREO!!!
It may not look pretty in games but seriously look at his entire career stats and especially just last season 26 TD 8 int with a 98.0 rating??? Russ can still cook and has pretty much done it consistently throughout his career
