In today's video, we're diving into the hot topic that's buzzing around the NBA community: Are the Atlanta Hawks about to hit the reset button?
There's a lot of speculation swirling around, especially after a rumored tweet from Bill Simmons suggesting that the Hawks might be looking to trade their elite point guards, Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. Is this the end of the current Hawks era? Could we really see these star players on the move?
In this video, I'll break down the rumors, analyze the potential trade scenarios, and discuss what this could mean for the future of the Atlanta Hawks. Are they really starting over, or is this just another offseason rumor?

Hawks need to blow it up. Trade Trae, Dejounte, Clint, and Bogdan. Draft Sarr, and you'll have the perfect rebuild. Bufkin, Griffin, Hunter, Johnson, Sarr, Okongwu and the picks from everyone you traded. You can be the Thunder at this point bro...

Not necessarily true. The year we went to the finals, the hawks was the most active teams in free agency. In fact, it was quite similar to what we just saw the falcons do in free agency which was overspend. We signed Gallanari, Bogi, Rajon Rondo and Chris Dunn in one offseason. That showed the owner was willing to spend, however unfortunately; that was a weaker free agency class. If there was a high profile free agent that year, the Hawks would’ve offered the house. I do agree that it’s hard to trust this ownership group though. What people aren’t talking about is former GM, Travis Schlenk who in my opinion built the eastern conference finals roster, is no longer under helm due to power. I had complete faith in Travis’s assessment and coincidentally, he was rumored to lead the charge of staff opposed of trading for Dejunte Murray. Ironically, he snuck out the back door during the first season of the DejounTRAE era. I feel it was a red flag to watch a man assemble arguably your greatest franchise roster leave during mid season. It seems as if he knew the decisions were out of his control and he didn’t want to be a part of that. I completely understand him if true, because that’s his vision and resume to build for additional nba teams who might be in search of a General Manager. He certainly left a great impression after drafting Collins,Young, Huerter, Hunter, Reddish, Jalen Johnson and Big O. That’s a lot of talent in the eyes of one GM. If you don’t agree, look at the second year contracts that most of them received. This is the reason I don’t trust the current front office. I believe it’s now ran by “yes” men to the owners. Landry Fields have done absolutely nothing and his assistant Kyle Korver is meeting at private Lakers workouts for Bronny James. That makes no sense and just smells like a incompetent front office. If I’m running the Hawks, I would do what Bill Simmons says, I would trade Trae to San Antonio for the 4th pick and my 2025 back in the Murray deal, along with Kelton Johnson. I would then trade Murray and Capella to Utah for Keyonte George in Utah and 2025 1st rounder. Doing this allows us to recoup massive picks for a far deeper draft next season. It allows us to risk losing, because we’ll have our unprotected pick back. It would also allow us to collect money for a potential 2026 free agency class headlined by hometown hero Ant Edwards. It also allows us to build around JJ, the first overall pick and a rising star in Keyonte George..This is reminiscent of the OKC trade that landed Shai at the time. He was a raw prospect with flashes of greatness. I’m not saying Keyonte George is Shai, but I challenge all to watch his game. He’s a good building piece. I know it’ll suck watching Trae Young and DJ goes, but it sucks more watching a bottom 5, play in tournament team each year, while not taking advantage of the best players value.

We gotta fill out the whole roster, of course you need star players to build around but we seen teams like Denver and Boston win but they’re loaded

Drafting good and signing key players can understand what it takes to be a team and not a I first.

No one is talking about this... it is much more simple. Atlanta's problem for a long time has been the absence of a big man. Every team we play with a solid big man, we get dogged. Draft Alex Sarr, trade Hunter for draft capital. Move Capella to power forward, JJ to small forward, tre, and Murry as guards. This roster has a solid bench too. Capella can sub for center. Okagwo sub PF , bogey, and bey off the bench. That is a championship roster.

Hawks fan here. Just wanna said Coach Synder get to decide who's in or out. Personally I want Trae to stay, but his defense liability proved too much for team to win a Championships. On the other hand, Murray isn't our cornerstone neither. And both of them played terrible together.

If we trade Trae imma be salty. He’s the only player that brings any attention to our team.

I think jalen johnson can be the second best player on a championship team. The trade could be true.

Yeah, it's time to rebuild. Because this coach knows what he wants. Could you look at what he did in Utah? We need a guard like Mithell in Cleveland. Build around Jalen Johnson. Bill Simmons might have a point. "Peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The way I see is that they've tried and tried it. It's time to build something new. The coach has been there for 1 1/2 years he's seen enough. It's his time to develop his own team to be a competitive team. Today is June 10,22024 they have three more weeks so something going to happen.
