this is the natural evolution of a successful team/athlete.. people get sick of seeing the same guys win constantly.. KC fans are enjoying this run while they can, but it won't last forever.. it's pretty normal in all sports tbh
@@michaelmcdonald1620 I’m not even tired of the chiefs in that way. I’m just talking about how there’s not a lot of nerves in clutch situations. You just know it’s going to work out for them. Haha
@@GarbageTimeSports as a KC fan let me assure you every game has plenty of nerves lol honestly we wonder what it's like to occasionally blow teams out like BAL or BUF do, but chiefs seem to like keeping it close
No, this level of play is not boring. And the refs are not in the Chiefs pocket. Give me a break with that nonsense. I've seen phantom holds and dpi against the chiefs while Chris Jones gets held on almost every play even being drug down by his face mask in front of the ref and NOTHING gets called.
I don’t even disagree with the calls! It’s just all baked in on how you know the chiefs are going to win every game. They are inevitable. They are great. We are watching greatness! I do kinda miss having some mystery around what will happen.
@@GarbageTimeSports As a life long chiefs fan I have spent 30 years watching them not get to the play offs. Frustration was built in. I can tell you that I have no sense of inevitibilty watching them almost lose down by a score or two in the last 4 minutes of the game... I'm on the edge of my seat.
Boring? Not at all. Whether you're a Chiefs fan or not (I am) you have the opportunity to witness perhaps the best QB of all time, a second-to-none, genius head coach & defensive leader, an array of other star athletes-- Kelce, Jones, Butker, etc etc etc. Fun times!! ❤️💛❤️💛🏈👍
You have a team chasing history and possibly 3 peating, whose been hit hard with the injury bug early in the season, and aging TE who just surpassed Tony Gonzalez in all time Chiefs yards, two players that used to be on the team and now being welcomed back as prodigal sons showing up in huge ways. A failed HC whose arguable making the case for the best DC or at least top 5 in the NFL in Spags, Andy Reid whose climbing closer and closer to all time top 5 HC and people wanna be lazy with narrative building of “is this team boring” Being in sports media is about creative storytelling that extends beyond a box score. Why do we settle for cheap and lazy storylines? There are so many great threads to pull from the fabric that is this team.
Of course all of those things are great, and they also have been done to death by everyone in the media. All we were saying is that it doesn’t really matter what’s going on in the game, you know KC is going to find a way to win the game. It’s so inevitable right now that it seems a little boring at times. There’s no mystery there. Especially during the regular season.
@@michaeldiaz7101 - Fair, and same lol if we 3-peat he’s number one in my opinion. Bill’s rings and Shula’s undefeated season are the only reason I don’t think so already, honestly.
"And if they need it, they have the referees in their back pocket." You talked about the Chiefs being boring but it pales in comparison to your weak, monotonous droning about the refs. THAT is truly what is "boring" about the Chiefs.
I don’t even disagree with the calls most of the time! It just really is amazing how often there is a huge call late. Again, the right call, but it’s always in a BIG spot.
KC's big secret? Find smart, good all-around athletes that are team players. Design the D and O around their strengths, hide their weaknesses and pull together for the W. Having a HoF HC, QB, TE, DT and a lockdown CB1 is icing on the cake.
I've been a chiefs fan since I was 6 or 7 years old. Been through many non-playoff seasons. Playoff seasons where they were a 1 or 2 seed. Had a bye and played @ home and choked. from 1970-2014 KC had 3 playoff wins. Through 2017 4 playoff wins. They had a 8-18 all-time postseason record. From 2018-2023 they currently have a 15-3 postseason record. Thier total now stands @ 23-21. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes [ along with everybody else] have rescued this franchise. Boring? Are you kidding me? I'm going to enjoy this train ride until the last stop where I have to get off. Because sports is cyclical. You never know when it's all going to end. And when not if it does KC may never be able to recapture their former glory.
That’s exactly what a chiefs fan should say! The Pats said it for years as well. They are fantastic. But I never question if they are going to win anymore. You just know they’re going to figure it out haha
The same was said about the Pats. Who always just played for the W, never ran the score when running the clock worked instead and that is/was the issue. The Pats educated the viewers on what greatness looked like: Competent QB, Top notch coaching, stable front office, take advantage of the week division opponents, split the series with the other top teams, make the playoffs, turn it up a notch after each round, be used to the tougher rounds, and treat them as normal but with urgency while opponents wither at the strain.
@@mansimen lol I don’t even disagree with the calls most of the time, it’s just amazing how many of their games come down to a HUGE call in a big spot late in games. It’s all baked in together when I’m watching them thinking it’s inevitable that they’ll win the game.
It’s only boring because NFL had their favorite team now, it’s the Chiefs not the Patriots. If NFL allowed refs to call even on the playing field, Chiefs probably would’ve not won 3 SB in 4 SB appearance
Not even gonna get into the video yet just gonna say, the chiefs games are hella entertaining everytime. "Saying this as a Bears fan." They literally had a lateral play for a 30 yard 1st down damn near XD.
Yeah that was freaking entertaining. We were more talking about how there’s very little excitement in crunch time when you watch them play. You just know it’s going their way. Haha
@@GarbageTimeSports It was still exiting to watch the Manning's Brady Rodgers too. Even though you knew how that was going to end. Hindsights 20/20 while you're watching the game you're thinking "no way"
@@mikehawk6120 see, but im not. while im watching im thinking "I wonder how they are going to pull this off" Its never " ARE THEY GONNA DO THIS?" We know they're going to win haha
No. They make it more exciting. I notice most teams play better than they usually do when they play the Chiefs. And you never know what the Chiefs are going to come up with.
No not boring at all, the Chiefs barely won those first 4 games, each one was a nail biter and the win sealed by the defense. The Monday night game had them playing better but they are far away from any guaranteed wins, in my opinion. The Packers had 3 championships in a row1965, 1966 and 1967. The Chiefs seem to shift into another gear in the playoffs and they won two away games last year after a bad regular season. And I think the Chiefs have a good chance to 3 peat if they turn it up in the playoffs again. I used to live in Cincinnati, specifically In Madeira on Shawnee Run right on the border of Indian Hill and Joe Burrow is playing great, SO it's a frustrating mystery as to why they have lost most of their games this season. I have to think they are going to make a major comeback and be in position for a Wildcard slot -- it was good enough for the Chiefs last year. I guess we'll see!
Nope! I’m not even a chiefs fan but seeing a team break records and make history is exciting. Nobody has ever 3peated in football history and I don’t care who does I just wanna see it happen.
The ref's comment is just absolutely ridiculous. Go back to the begging of last year...just as many bad calls against them as for them if you are a neutral observer. Plus, on whiners blame something on officiating in any sport.
lol not even saying I disagree with the calls, but can’t deny that there have been a lot of big calls in big sports the past few years. Again, not the wrong calls, just huge calls late. The refs favor the more prepared team. It’s a credit to the Kingdom in KC.
Yeah it's boring as hell! I don't care about other people saying they want to see the Chiefs 3 peat and be the first team in NFL history to do that. At least during the Brady and Pats dynasty, there was some diversity with the Manning brothers Colts, Broncos, and Giants, along with Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers, Ravens, Bucs, Saints, Seahawks, Eagles, and Packers winning at least 1 Super Bowl. Now in the past 6 years besides the Brady led Bucs, it's only been the Rams that have won their second Super Bowl! If it's just gonna be the Chiefs again for years to come, there is NOTHING to look forward to anymore in the NFL. And the ONLY way for another AFC team to go to the Super Bowl besides beating the Chiefs is for Patrick Mahomes to have a season ending injury.
I miss having some mystery if they are going to pull out a game late or not. You just know it’s going to break their way. Obviously still watching every minute haha
I don’t even disagree with a lot of the calls. It’s all just baked into the inevitability of KC. You know there’s going to be SOMETHING that breaks their way late when they need it. Again, just a slightly annoyed bengals fan over here. 😂
You guys seem like intelligent men. So to even suggest that there is some sort of Chiefs friendly refs thing going on. It takes away your credibility as serious Podcasters. It's easy for me to see missed calls while watching from my couch. But I do see them and both teams have them.
@@GarbageTimeSports I hope your channel does well and grows. I do. But to throw the ref comment? Research some numbers to have to back that up. Chiefs had a td removed vs saints on a hold. Worthy had a PI not called at the 5. Just saying. Calls go for and against teams every game.
@@jhawk4480 totally, calls go both ways. Just seems like when they need one, they get one. but the refs favor the more prepared team, and the teams that are better at the details. Nothing but credit to the chiefs.
