Dude, the real MVP in this battle was whoever put the game command in to play sorrowful music if your army is losing the battle. That just hit me. Listen to this: 26:24. That freaking music, man. You feel their losses.

I was Rohan in this battle and I’m ecstatic to be in one of your videos having been a fan for years. In hindsight I should had also been the dwarves as my cav got destroyed by there archers and cav and the dwarves spear were far more effective at dealing with there cav. Keep up the amazing content :D

I'm so pleased to be in a pixelated Apollo video I remember this game quite well, I was the easterlings and it was New Year's Day when I played this, the people I played with where lovely and Oliver111 is my brother. I have been in the pixelated Apollo video before but it is awesome to be in rise of Mordor! Edit: the funds where 20000 for forces of good and 16000 for the forces of Evil so it was always going to be a hard one for the forces of good

Just found out that Medieval 2 is going to have a mobile game port coming out this year. Hopefully that means that there is a Remastered version in the works *fingers crossed Would be super dope to have third age or stainless steel come back for the Remastered version

About evil side being cautious: even modern strategical doctrines recommend 3:1 in strentgth in order to execute attacking operation, when the opponents have otherwise even capacity. Furthermore, the numerical advantage displayed in this battle is hardly a promising prospect for bad guys in Tolkien's universe. We recollect Faramir mentioning - after the retreat from Rammas Echor - that having caused 10:1 casualties to the enemy would not have been worth the sacrifice. This reflects well other battles we are given even vague strengths; Morgoth's and Sauron's minions usually sought similar numerical superiority. So the evil side was playing this one very immersively (at least lore-wise!)

I do like these pitch battles, very chaotic and cool to watch!

this was such an exciting battle to watch! as much as I wanted the dwarfs to win, I just knew they can’t make it in the end…I personally enjoy these a lot more than the siege battles since I feel the siege battles mostly follow a similar pattern whereas with normal fights there’s a wider possibility of strategies and twists. Thanks for the video!

Love the total war games especially when I plan ambushes with half the force. When I played as Germany I remember just setting up ambush forces all over the area which I had conquered my mate who was playing was saying fuck sake i just lost 10000 men I said that’s how the Roman general felt as well when losing his legions don’t fuck with Germania

Being honest, I couldn't stand this battle. Very beginning, mordor pushes up 3 units of cav. COMPLETELY ISOLATED. What do the good guys do with their 5 units of superior cav, lined up directly in front of them? Nada. Such simple mistakes that mean so much in the end just irritate me to no end 🤣
