I don’t get the whole “some golfer won’t use these or are too good to use these” 95% of golfer could use these unless you are an elite player. A lot of club golfers use irons that are making life more difficult for them!! Posers….What golfer is going to complain about hitting it too straight!! I’ve been a low handicapper and I just bought these irons in the hope that they will make more consistent.
I decided on the Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal HL over everything else, using the shaft optimizer I gained height and distance, love the look and feel.....69 years old, driver at 90 mph....
Just got my set of Takomo 101’s they are a brilliant golf club, distance very similar to old set but miles better on off centre strikes, feel very nice, nice high ball flight and nearly half the price. Just wouldn’t pay the high price of these new clubs, thanks gents
Tried these and loved the looks but they felt really “clicky” on impact which was off putting. I had a set of G410,s which didn’t do this, still searching for my new irons(Quite like the look of the PXG,s)
That surprises me a little because I tested the Titleist T350, TM Qi, and the Calaway Smoke and they all 3 were clicker than the Ping and Mizuno JXP I tested which were about the same. I ended up with the Pings but could have went Mizuno as well. About the disarm numbers.
I just switched from 923 Mizunos to Takomo 101. The 101 are far more forgiving and therefore consistent. I also hit the 101's longer than the Mizuno. (I am 72 years old)
Did the ball only go 25ft to 30ft high or have you got the scale wrong, the ball looked to be much higher than 4 or 5 times your height Chris. I think you made the right choice Dave, Ping seem to excel in making some ugly clubs, it's like they actually try to make ugly clubs ! The game is coming along nicely but next time Chris has a go at your strike, just say I blame the coach !! I'm glad you're on a lot Dave, it will take your mind off the football
I also thought it didn’t add up! And gentleman you are correct it’s in yards! Strange because on individual shots it’s in feet and the average is in Yards 😂
@@ChrisDennisGolf I knew it was wrong so tried to mention it in a nice way as I know you'd want 'your fans' to have the correct info. If it were feet, the land angle would be the same as a 2 iron off the tee on a links course ! You do some very good vids Chris, glad you're involving Dave a lot more too, we can relate to his game more than yours !
Great video, I’ve literally just been looking at these online & debating getting a fitting on these. These or a paradyms, depending which I get better results with.
